a stopover in Atlanta so we can switch planes. Why do we have to switch planes? We have to switch plane because the plane we go on first won’t be able to have the leg to make it. That is why we have to switch to a larger plane so we can make it the rest of the way. Does that answer your question Justin? Why yes mam it does.
Now does everyone have their passport ready? Everybody but Justin said yes. I thought I had it in my pocket. I’ll call my mom and see if she knows. Hey mom it’s me Justin. Oh it is only you. What do you want my son? Well I just wanted to know if you knew where I put my passport. Well I saw you put it in the pocket that is on the front of the suitcase. Thanks mom. I’m just glad to help you so that I can help you get as far away from me as possible. Have a nice time son. Bye mom. Whatever son. She said I put it in the pocket on the front of the suitcase. She also said that the only reason she let me go on this trip was to get rid of me.
Which airline carrier are we going to be flying with? We will be flying Delta. It was either that or Northwest. I picked Delta because if we took northwest we would switch to Delta when we got to Atlanta. Now that yall are done talking we need to be getting a move on. Grab your bags and follow me.
Hi my name is Chelly Tack. How may I help you? We have reservations. What is the last name? The last name is sea. Ah here it is. Going from Birmingham to Atlanta to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil? That is correct. The people are two adults and two kids between the ages of thirteen and sixteen. That is correct. Well you’re all set to go. You just have to show me your passport as your bags are being checked in. Okay you guys have your passport ready when checking in. How many bags will that be for the four of you guys? It will be five bags.
Okay now that we have checked in finally, let’s go get some food quick so we can get through security and to our plane in time. Here is $20 for the both of you to get food. Don’t waste it because once we get on that plane yall won’t be getting anything else until we get to South America. Now enough of this chit chat. Go get food and meet me in fifteen minutes. If not here in fifteen minutes then you will have to go through security and board the plane without us. The plane will be at gate b3. See you in fourteen minutes. What do you want to have to eat? Let’s just get four burgers each and a drink. That will use are $20. Are you sure? I’m sure. Let’s go to subway. I like two meatballs with chips and a large drink for $10. I will have two parmesan chickens. That will be $18. Okay. Both will have lettuce and mustard and that one grilled please. Okay it will be ready in five minutes. That will give us four minutes to get back and meet my parents. Well here you go boys. Enjoy your flight to wherever you’re going. We will have a good time.
Well there you guys are. Well were ready to go. Why do we have to take our shoes off? Well it’s because at some airport in London someone had a bomb in their shoes. They make us take off our shoes to make sure we don’t have a bomb in our shoes. With that answer let’s get through and board that plane. Everybody make it through. Nope Justin didn’t make it through. They stopped him because the detector went off. It looks like it was just a tab off a soda drink. Well let’s hurry.
Welcome folks to Delta airlines. We would like to go ahead and board the flight for Atlanta, but we just got word that we will not be able to board for a couple of hours because of well ummmmmm fog. So just sit back and we will get you out of here as soon as the fogs lift in a couple of hours.
Well now what are we going to do? I have an idea. I will be back. Hey stewardess. By the way my name is Iguana, Betty Iguana. Can you tell me how you got the name? Sure I love to. Can I borrow this mic? I guess you can. Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, I would like yall to come to gate b3 if you can to see Betty Iguana tell the story of how that became her last name here at terminal B lounge. Here is your mic back Iguana. Give them a few minutes to wonder over here and settle down before you tell your story. This is your idea of entertainment? Her telling a story about how Iguana became her last name. Sure why not. The story should be interesting. Shhhhhh. There she is ready to tell her story. Hi my name is Betty Iguana. My name used to not be Betty. My name used to be Betty Oneforhire. Yall think that was hysterical; yall think that was funny. I was ashamed by my last name. People at school used to tease me about it. I got into a lot of fights in school when I was a kid because I couldn’t stand people and my classmates messing with me because of my last name. I know yall are probably wondering why I would change my last name from Oneforhire to Iguana when it’s not such a better choose. Well I will tell you why. It all started when I was six years old. I always loved animals. One day as I was watching TV about animals, when they got to the Iguana it looked great. They said that in a few days there was going to be a two hour special program on just iguanas. I was like I have got to watch that when it comes on in a few days. Well when it came time for the show I just about jumped out of my shoes going crazy. After the show I asked my mom a question. Before I asked her my question I went crazy because I didn’t want the show to ever be over. I asked my mom can I get a pet Iguana. She was like you are too young. When you are eleven years old we will get you one. It will be for your birthday that year. During my time between six years old and eleven years old I read all I could about Iguanas. Also during that time I had a page or two of days counting down the days until I’m eleven years old. Those five years was the second longest five years in my life. The longest five years in my life was the four years in high school and first year of college. When it was my eleventh birthday I was jumping for joy. Today was the day I was going to be getting my Iguana. My birthday was going fine until I opened my presents. In all my presents I didn’t get an Iguana. I asked my mom where is the Iguana that you promised me for my eleventh birthday when I was six. The reason she didn’t give me my Iguana was because she was going to take me to the pet shop and let me pick out my own Iguana. After I got my Iguana I played and feed and watered my Iguana as I could or needed to. It’s because I love animals why I wanted to be a zoologist. I wanted to do reptiles. When I was thirteen I asked my mom if I could change my last name to Iguana. Sweetie I don’t think you want to do that right now. You will have to wait until your eighteen to do that because then you will be an adult. So when I was finally eighteen I went down there and legally got my last name changed to Betty Iguana.
Do you guys want to hear how I got this job? Someone in the audience said sure I mean what else is there to do. Good point sir. Well I went on to become a zoologist specializing in reptiles. I got a job at the Birmingham zoo. I was working there for awhile while this economy is starting to get bad. I started to look for a part time job so that I could get outside of working at the zoo because about a month ago I found out that I was pregnant. I had to look for a part time job so I could have more money to help raise my kid when I have it. I would like yall to be happy because you have been a wonderful audience. Now let me turn it back over to Mr. Sea.
While whispering he said to Iguana, how did you know my name? I saw it on your ticket. Oh okay. Thanks. Ladies and gentleman lets thank Betty Iguana for that interesting story. I would now like my son, Mangello, to come up and sing with me. What is it son? I want to sing, but I want to sing with mom instead okay. I guess. Mom, dad said you can sing with me. I will be sitting over here by the wall if you need me. As I was about to sing I saw dad over there by the wall being sad. Mom I will be right back. While I’m gone you can get my friend Justin to do jokes and stuff with. I will do.
Hey dad what is wrong with you? What do you think is wrong with me son? I’m very upset at what you did. You hurt my feelings bad. I wanted to sing with you, but you put me down by saying you wanted to sing with mom instead of me. I’m so disappointed in you son. It will be awhile before I will be able to forgive you for what you said. Well I’m sorry for what I said. Instead of being sad here by the wall why not go sit in a chair and listen to mom and Justin tell some jokes and stuff. Try to feel happy dad because as soon as the fog lifts we will be on our way to Atlanta and then to South America. I will try my best for you son. That is what I like to hear from you dad. I like hearing that positive attitude. You don’t want that negative attitude to bring you and possibly the people around you down do you? No I don’t want to have that happen. Let’s get back in that crowd and be happy.

Chapter 3
The Flight
Alright ladies and gentleman we have got to break up the terminal B lounge because the fog is letting up and the planes are getting ready for boarding.
Aww man it was just starting to get good around here. I know what you mean. I wish I didn’t have to stop telling jokes and stuff because I was just really getting into this wild crowd. We both wish the same thing. Well at least were about to get ready to leave for our trip. I can’t wait to get on that plane. I know what you mean. This has been one of the longest days I have been in, in my entire life. Well we still have to
