"Yeah sure "he said and as he was about to stand up,ย the sound of the microphone interrupted.ย I looked up and it was King Henry.ย
"Can everybody settle down please?" King Henry said.ย
"Uhm..let's talk after this okay" Christian said looking at his Dad on stage.ย I just nodded and went back to my seat disappointed because I don't know if I can hold this courage much longer.ย I looked at Molly and she signalled to me saying that I should calm down.ย I nodded at her and focused on the stage where King Henry is talking. Different people from the media were taking pictures and trying to get a better view of the King and what he is about to say.ย
"Today,ย I have a special announcement to make unbehalfย of my son,ย Prince Christian" King Henry said making usย look at Christian curiouslyย but he shooked his head saying he doesn't know what it's about. " As we all know in Orlander, the crowned Prince is to have found his princess before he his twenty one ย . It is what our fore fathers have done and the tradition lives on . If you can take care of a family, you can take care of a country. My son is already twenty one and has had a few girlfriends in the past but he hasn't had oneย in about two years now. That is why I and his mother have decided to hold a selection for him" As he said that, the whole audience gasped.ย I was shocked, a selection??!!! I could feel my heart beating and thinking that what I dreaded most is about to happen.ย I couldn't even look at Christian because I was scared to see his reaction.ย
"Twenty girls from Orlander will be randomly picked to participate in the selection andย whoever my son picks will become his bride and princess. Auditions starts tomorrow and as long as you are eligible,ย please audition.ย Thank You and goodnight everybody " king Henry said and everybody errupted in a loud applause.ย Some girls wereย screaming not believing that theyย could finally have a chance with Christian. I tried really hard to hold my tears as I finally looked at Christian. He looks so angry,ย I have never seen him so angry before. He stood up in anger and ran off.ย Before I could call his name,ย he was gone.ย I just sat down there lifeless and my tears started flowing.ย I am crying because of everything.ย I would finally loose the Love of my life.ย Regrets... Regrets is all I could think of.ย I could have told him sooner . A rejection would have been less painful than this.ย I felt Molly hug me and pulled me up.ย She took me away from the party into her room .ย We climbed her bed , I wrapped myself around her and I cried. I can't remember how long I cried before I fell asleep.ย
