Although she isn't able to be as normal as all the other kids, she thanks God for every day that she's even alive. And maybe she can't see, or can't play sports. But there is one thing she can do. Ellie is pro at fighting for survival. And she's determined to keep on doing it.

Not-So-Fun Facts About Instillation Abortions:
1. Many instillation abortions do not work, and instead of delivering a dead, burned baby, the mother often delivers a living, burned baby. "Ellie" is fictional, but she is modeled after other people who have led difficult, deformed lives because their abortions failed. Cerebral palsy and blindness are only two of the many, many side effects of surviving an instillation abortion.
2. These abortions are usually not performed before 16 weeks- they have to give the amniotic fluid time to accumulate in the womb. At 16 weeks, the baby is more than a third of the way developed, and he or she can feel pain just like you and I.
3. Instillation abortions can result in either severe hemorrhage or uncontrolled blood clotting for the mother.
4. Other side effects for the mother include damage to the central nervous system, seizures, and sometimes even death.
5. Saline is one of the many different chemicals that are injected into the womb- but all the chemicals do the same thing. They disintegrate the baby's underdeveloped skin as well as burn the baby's insides. It usually takes about an hour for the baby to die.
6. Every "successful" saline abortion kills an innocent child.
Hysterotomy
I just can't wait. Only a few more months left. I've been in this little bubble for a while, all alone in my comfy home. And although I like t here, I'm ready to meet my mommy.
I can hear the doctor now. "Ah, Mrs. White. So good to see you again." Again? But this is the first time we've seen this doctor. His voice is different. How do they know each other? Was Mommy here with another baby? "How are you and your husband doing?" They have casual conversation on the way to the room. I feel my mom shift as she lays down.
I wait a long time. Sometimes it's quiet, as the doctor gets ready, and other times he makes simple conversation with my mom. And then, I feel my mom relax. And what happens next happens almost in slow motion.
An opening us cut into my mom's tummy. I get my first glimpse of the world. And within moments, all excitement of being a part of that world is crushed.
The doctor reaches in. He grabs the cord that attaches me to my mommy. And he cuts it. He severs the tie that bonds my mom and I together.
And I can't breathe. After several minutes, I stop struggling. I can't anymore. The doctor reaches in. He pulls me out. I'm placed on a table. Oh, it's cold. So, so cold. I look over at my mother, whose face I'll never see again. Her eyes are closed, her breathing steady. It's almost is if she has no idea of the chaos and terror that surrounds her.
My vision is black now. I can no longer move. The table is freezing on my back. Why? My lungs, which have barely started to develop, burn. It goes on and on, until finally, finally, it's over.

Amy White climbs into the passenger seat of the car. She's still sore from the operation, so her friend Carrie offered to drive her home. She's been here twice before, but it was always different. She never saw the face.
As Carrie puts the car in drive, she noticed a change in Amy. She sits in the seat, defeated. Her shoulders are slumped, her eyes are empty.
"Are you okay?" she asks. She's never seen Amy this upset before.
"Carrie, I..." She trails off, not able to find the words. "What have I done?" The first tear rolls down her cheek, opening the floodgates.
"Amy, calm down." Carrie pulls over to the side of the road so that she can comfort her friend. Amy leans over the center console, resting her head on Carrie's shoulder. "What's going on? You've never reacted like this before."
For a few seconds, the only sounds are the cars driving past, blended with Amy's sobs. "Carrie, I saw his face. So many times, people tell me that it's not a baby. But it is. That was my baby that I just paid some guy to kill."
Carrie doesn't know what to say. "Amy... I..."
Amy sits up, faces the windshield. "What do I do now? How do I fix this?" She places her hands on her stomach, feeling where the baby was just a few hours ago, happy and growing. "What have I done?"

Not-So-Fun Facts About Hysterotomy Abortions:
1. A hysterotomy abortion is an abortion in which the uterus, placenta, amniotic sac, and baby are surgically removed. It is similar to a caesarian section, only the intent is to deliver a dead baby, not a live one. In the past, many babies were born alive during this kind of abortion. They were then either left to die, smothered, or drowned in a bucket of water. In 1990, the killing of the child after birth was prohibited.
2. In 1996, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) published a paper advising abortionists to find other ways of killing the baby before removing the uterus, etc. They suggested cutting the umbilical cord while the baby is still in the womb. This cuts off the baby's oxygen supply and he or she suffocates.
3. Side effects for the mother include: Peritonitis (a fungal infection in the membrane that lines your abdomen), rupture of the scar in a future pregnancy, blood clotting, and pulmonary embolism (blockage of an artery in the lungs).
4. Every "successful" hysterotomy abortion kills an innocent child.
Thank youwomb
n. an encompassing, protective hollow; a hollow space enclosing something, espectially when dark, warm, or sheltering
A womb is supposed to be a safe place, something to protect and shelter a baby as it develops enough to survive on its own. A womb is not supposed to be a place where chemicals or sharp-edged claws murder a baby.
Thank you for reading this. It probably isn't the best writing that you've seen, or that I've done, but I do hope that it makes a difference to someone.
These are three methods of abortion, but there are many others that are still practice. Just as you read in the previous pages, abortions are not guarenteed. The "successful" abortions result in a dead child. We live in a world today where success can mean the murder of an innocent baby. The scientific community recognizes that life begins at conception, so there is never a point in the pregnancy that abortion does not end a life.
Since 1980, aproximately 1,348,142,100 abortions have been performed worldwide. Over one billion abortions in the last 25 years. Over one billion classmates, friends, doctors, lawyers, teachers, soldiers, firefighters. Over one billion human beings that we will never get to meet. Pray for all those lives, but also for all the people involved in these abortions. Become active in the pro-life community. Research the organizations that you donate money to (for example, the Susan G. Komen Foundation donates money to Planned Parenthood, which is responsible for about 6,867,550 abortions since 1970). Educate people of the methods of the abortions, and make the alternatives seem more desirable. Help abolish abortion.
Even though he did not intend this quote to be used for pro-lifers to make our point, Dr. Seuss said it best: A person's a person, no matter how small.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Cassandra Shae
