is all I fear."

She glowed so bright my blinded eyes
were forever left with scar.
"Now I must go, my dearest dear,"
said my little star.
"But someday soon we'll meet again,
for someday is not so far."

And I wait here now until the end of time
to hold my little star.

I look back and wonder now
how I find I loved her,
love is surely the strangest thing
beyond the form of words.
But here and now I rest a fool
with love stuck on my tongue,
but love is a perfectly lovely thing,
yielding its secrets to no one.
How I smile to think of her,
she makes me what I am,
for a moon may shine from reflected light
with nothing in his hands.
But now I see she gave me more
and a new light will begin,
for a moon may shine a little more
when glowing from within.
Yes, surely I can say at full
I love my little light
and love her I can only do,
the love lost in the night.

Odd thing, that little star,
as precious as a flower.
Such a little star she was,
that hit like a meteor shower.
