He sang. He laughed realizing he forgot the words to his favorite childhood song. He gazed lovingly at the celling no doubt thinking of the sky.

“I love you, mom”

Peace emerged from the shadows again and a light brighter than the sun blinded me. A hand reached for me within the light and I grabbed it forcefully.

“I’m ready”

I thought As I walked up to the stairs to the gates, I looked down at my son one last time. Pride filled me and I blew him one last kiss. My Aiden

makes me so proud to be his mommy. Then the light engulfed me, and I walked together with god himself through the pearly whites.
