about two hundred farmers, waiting outside the chambers of the Chairman.

Mr. Rahul could visualise what had happened in his absence in the office?

The Personal Secretary of the MD, Dr. Jasmine hinted him and advised him to be more submissive and to receive any quantum of anger from his father in law; and not to get into arguments with him as he was quite serious about the issue.

He looked at her seriously.

“Don’t try to be over smart and unnecessarily interfere into our family matters; and don’t forget that I am also one of the directors of the GM. group of companies having shares, and also son in law of the chairman. And it is better for you to be in your limits; and don’t forget that you are after all an employee and hereafter stop giving advices to anybody” He warned her severely and pulled the door and went into the chambers of the MD.

She was not stunned by his behaviour, as she understood his mentality and egoistic attitude, but as a well wisher of the MD’s family and his Business Empire she felt it was her duty to apprise Mr. Rahul about the present situation.

But it just misfired.

****************

There was a call for the personal Secretary, Dr. Jasmine by the chairman.

There the HR head, the Accountant, the cashier and the Auditor were present in the chambers of the Group Chairman and MD.

“Miss. Jasmine please takes down the note”

She opened her note book and started writing his dictation.

“It is complained by about two hundred farmers that they have registered their lands to our company under the proviso of Special Economic Zone, declared by the State Government for developing the lands for industrialisation, to the Gentleman group of companies. But the Chief Executive Officer of the SEZ gave the farmers half of the amount and got their lands registered with a false promise that the remaining amount would be paid to them in cash soon after they registered their lands. The Accountant and the cashier produced evidence of receipts signed by Mr. Rahul, the CEO of SEZ, and thereby the preliminary enquiry revealed that he has misused his office and misappropriated the amounts related to the sale of their lands of the farmers’. Hence, Mr. Rahul is removed as CEO of SEZ with immediate effect and in his place Dr. Jasmine is empowered to hold full additional charge as CEO till a new one is appointed.

Dr. Jasmine is further instructed to list out the amounts due to the farmers from Mr. Rahul with the help of the Accountant and the Cashier and put up crossed cheques in the name of the individual farmers at once. Hence forth Mr. Rahul will contact my PS Dr. Jasmine to take further assignments or any specific work entrusted to him from time to time by me. And now his cabin is changed to general administrative block and he is assigned an important duty to maintain biometric system of attendance of all employees and submit it to me every day by 1100hrs; and he has to bring a drastic change in the functioning of the office, besides improvement in punctuality and discipline in the head office within a fortnight.

And Dr. Jasmine please get the memo typed and put it for my perusal and signature immediately”

“Yes sir, but I doubt can I handle the duties of the CEO of the most complicated SEZ, since I am a lady” She expressed her inability.

“It is enough if one does not do any crime, rather than not knowing the work and just keep silence and sit idle.

But anyway I am confident that you will prove yourself; and please go ahead with your task. But before that put up the memo at once” She left his chambers to prepare the memo.

The HR head, the Accountant, the Auditor and cashier also left his chambers.

***********************

Inside the chambers of the MD and the Chairman of the GM group of companies, there were only the MD, and Mr. Rahul only remained.

“Sorry uncle I want to leave along with my wife Mrs. Sobha and my children to my home town now itself” Mr. Rahul said firmly.

“Why have you taken the decision so suddenly? You have been with us since marrying my daughter. Please don’t take decisions, especially when you are facing accusations Mr. Rahul. As you happened to be my son in law, the farmers did not lodge complaints with police. At least they have belief in me that I would do justice to them. Now tell me if you are in my position what would you like to do for them? Do you further threaten them? Or are you going to complain to police against the farmers? Or do you want to take them again on raid with some other promise?

Anyway I have not asked you why you have done this. What have you done with their amount? You are not only my son in law Mr. Rahul but also one of the directors and share holders in the prestigious GM group of companies?”

“But I am upset; and feeling sorry to hand over my charge to after all a lady secretary sir”

“Don’t belittle by seeing the nature of her job; and for your information she did MS and is a gold medallist in surgery”

“Then what made her to join as PS to you sir? Is it to carry tails against family members or to squeeze money?”

“Your first accusation regarding carrying tales is incorrect, but the second one is yes of course correct i.e. she is for speed money and more money”

“So it is confirmed by you that she is doing flesh trade”

“Sorry Mr. Rahul, please don’t try to corner her. Please withdraw you comments and derogative statements against her”

“Then tell me sir why has she join under you as PS, if not for en-cashing her glamour and beauty?”

“Mr. Rahul you couldn’t understand her principles, ideology and the sacrifices she has been doing to the society”

“I am sorry sir, it is just hypocrisy, and she is only serving you and your needs. I feel sorry for praising and boosting up the conduct and character of a third rated lady working for more money and speed money. Anyway it is none of my business to probe into your personal life and your weaknesses or comment your personal Secretary, whom you are treating as VVIP and Goddess; and I thank you for the honour you have given me before my subordinates” He left his chambers, even though the chairman was trying to console him.

Chapter: 14

In share market, there was an unusual demand for the shares of the GM. Group of companies, because they were getting 90% solid profits.

And consequently, the chairman announced 50% dividends to their shareholders.

“We are feeling sorry dad” All the three children of Mr. Gentleman in unison openly expressed their resentment about the unanimous decision taken by him.

He didn’t respond to them but seriously taking dinner.

“Don’t forget that I have invested 49% capital from my assets in all the companies, but you never have the curtsey at least to inform me and to my children before announcing the dividend. My children and son in law are having 10% of shares each from my capital. That is why they are asking you rather demanding you, how shameful it is even to hear?” Mrs. Bharathidevi outburst with her anger against her husband, Mr. Gentleman.

“Madam, let sir finish dinner and afterwards we can have elaborate decision over the topic” Dr. Jasmine, who was invited for dinner as guest tried to pacify the situation.

“You better shut your mouth and mind your business and don’t pock into our family matters” The daughter of Mr. Gentleman, Mrs. Sobha became furious and warned her.

“Sobha she is our guest, say sorry to her” Mr. Gentleman warned his daughter.

“Sorry uncle it is too much, Sobha is not only your daughter, but also she is one of the members of the board of directors and share holder of the GM. group of companies” Mr. Rahul objected and condemned his suggestion on behalf of his wife.

“Mr. Rahul, it is not the question of worth of properties, designation and status we hold in the society, but one should know manners and show decency” He said seriously.

“We are not uncivilized to learn manners and you better asked somebody or question yourself as what is your reaction towards your daughter in the presence of a bloody salaried employee” Both Rahul and his wife Sobha got up from the middle of the lunch at once.

“I am sorry sir; I am only an outsider; you please stay back sir; and I don’t want to come in between, and I am leaving” Dr. Jasmine left for washing her hand in the washbasin.

“Miss. Jasmine, please stay back. You are not only my PS, but also an important guest of the evening invited for dinner” Mr. Gentleman said politely, but firmly.

On hearing their father supporting her, his two sons Ram and Laxman also left the dining table.

“Sorry, I think my presence has unnecessarily spoiled the atmosphere; please don’t get into rift with your dad; I am an employ and just come as a guest for dinner and I have finished it and I am leaving” She tried to console them.

“Shut up you dirty bitch. And you bloody third rated employee and how dare are you to advise my children?” Mrs. Bharathidevi lost her tongue.

“You shut up, it refers to the incredible ladies only, and whether you are in the list or not please check up first, before losing your tongue on the guest” Mr. Gentleman slapped her.

Mrs. Bharatidevi left the dining hall seriously and went to her suit.

“I am sorry sir, I am only of her daughter’s age; and she has every right to shout at me; and even when she scolded me in unparliamentary language; even then also I never mind, because I see in her my mum but you being head of the family and in the presence of me, an outsider and your children and son in law, losing your patience means I think certainly something went wrong with my presence, please go and cajole her or otherwise I will submit my resignation now itself sir” Miss. Jasmine used her final weapon.

“You need not feel sorry for her Miss. Jasmine. In fact neither I have spoken emotionally, nor have I done any mistake. As a curtsy I have invited you this evening as a guest for dinner. How cum she loose her tongue knowing that you are my guest; and I couldn’t take it casually or accept it as my mistake Dr. Jasmine” He said as he was seriously hurt by their manners and also their behaviour in the presence of his PS.

“But I am not hurt by anybody’s behaviour, and in fact I am feeling for your reaction sir. Anyway please leave it sir, and I once again request you to cajole her” She took a firm stand and said.

“You are unhurt means it is your gentleness; and your respect for the age, but I am not convinced by the way they behaved with you Miss. Jasmine. And if she really knows the meaning of bitch, and still has the edacity to lose her tongue means, she has neither respect for her motherhood nor she must really stand as one and the only living example for bitch” Mr. Gentleman felt sorry for their awkward behaviour.

“What is this dad? It is too much; you are belittling mum, Rahul and sister in the presence of after all a petty employee. You are not even caring for your children” This time his younger son Mr. Laxman also reacted and pointed out him.

“I am sorry dad I never expected this type of treatment from my father; I feel ashamed that you even never think of the honour of my mum; and you have even gone to the extent of pressurising your only daughter to say sorry to a fourth grade employee” Mr. Laxman also became serious and retaliated equally.

“Please do not compare yourselves with her. None
