I know, I know another vampire book. this is about a young girl who got adopted by a vampire. everything was going well until weeks before her transformation when she finds out that not everyone is who they appear to be and now she is on the brink of a collasal decision that will affect the entire vampire comunity. the only problem is she doesn't even know what the question is, let alone the answer. *warning this is unfinished and has a lot of grammatical errors. I just want to get feedback before I fix it up.

family.β Everyone raised their glasses and repeated, βwelcome.β
As everyone drank from their glass joy did as well. The blood didnβt taste good at all, it tasted like blood that had a lot of iron. She chocked it down and just chugged the rest without breathing. Blood spilled from her mouth and she wiped it away before it could stain her dress. She lowered the cup and felt no difference. Then in one moment of sheer agony her body felt like it was on fire. Her veins itched and she started scratching at her skin. She screamed in pain.
Joy felt arms wrap around her and the words, βit will pass.β Over and over through the fog of pain. Then as suddenly as the pain came it left. She felt great. Joy felt stronger, healthier and more confident. She looked up to see Alex still holding her tight. He was glowing she looked around the room to see that all of the vampires were glowing a beautiful gold.
She put her hand on Alexβs head silently telling him that she was alright and he let go. She stood up and everyone cheered. βhow would you like to serve the council?β Samuel asked smiling at her.
She straightened herself up and said, βI would like to lead the hunt. Iβm tired of always being protected. Itβs about time I protect myself and I promise I will not rest until I have Davidβs head on a spike.β
βyou have my approval.β Samuel said and turned to the crowd, βmay I present your sister, The Vampire Joy.β
