to kill him.” I said gritting through my teeth. “He has committed to many crimes!” I shouted at my father. “Yes he has, but he has an army, the dark side has partnered with him, how do you plan on getting into the castle brother?” Rhamaz asked me. “I don’t care, as long as I get to him.” I answered. “You’re not thinking clearly, let’s go back and strategize. The same way that we did to get father and mother out.” Rhamaz said again. I took a deep breath and turned around with them. We arrived back to where my mother sat. “You are back, you got me worried Bastiaan. Rhamaz, my son; Thank you. You basically saved Bastiaan again!” She said to him. I took out some more feed from the back pack and handed it out. I was furious, I could taste Dregichts blood already. I gulped down the bottle and went over to my mother, I just gave her a hug. That is when I heard a noise, it went silent. I sprung around and signalled to Rhamaz. He heard it and our father. “Mother, someone is here. Whatever happens; I need you and father to please run and go to Amber Lily in France. Don’t come back again” I whispered to them. Rhamaz looked up at me, “You never mentioned that to me!” He whispered back to me. “I know, it just popped up right now.” I replied hoping he would somehow understand. Suddenly Rhamaz got jumped from behind and my mother started screaming. “Father leave! Now!” I shouted, and he grabbed my mother and they sped away. Another vampire came from behind and had me around my neck. I bit into his arm and he released me which allowed me to throw a punh at him. Rhamaz already dislocated the other vampires head from his body when I turned to look for him. “Impressive.” I announced. The second vampire was busy getting up but both me and Rhamaz had him pinned down. “How dare you attack the King! You have committed treason on the highest level!” I screamed at him and started punching him. Rhamaz pulled me back and had me by the collar. “What is going on with you Bastiaan!” He shouted at me. He let me go and walked over to the nearest tree, my emotions are all over the place. “Now tell me, why have you betrayed the King?” Rhamaz asked him. “He is no fucking King! Dregicht is our King!” The vampire said. I was about to say something when Rhamaz signalled me to stop. “Does your King know that we are here?” He asked him. “No, he does not.” The vampire said and immediately Rhamaz pulled his head from his body. “Right, we need to get going.” Rhamaz said getting up and cleaning himself off with some water from a bottle. I looked at him with so much awe. “How are you able to just do that?” I asked him. “Do what?” he responded. “Just pull heads off randomly.” I said. “Oh, you don’t want me too?” He replied. “That is not what I meant. I can’t kill like what you have just done now.” I explained. “Oh, you mean my emotional state with regards to just pulling heads off?” He asked. “I guess, yes.” I said “Well is that not the reason why I’m supposed to be dead? I’m ruckus, no guilt or conscious and a proper monster. Let’s go now Bastiaan.” He said walking off. I ran after him, “You need to seriously try and move on because you know that you are the rightful King and a King cannot be this emotional with so much suppressed feelings.” I said. “Excuse me Bastiaan? Look who is talking. You make it sound so fucking easy. Says the one who ran to kill Dregicht with no plan whatsoever and also bashed a vampire to release frustration!” He said shouting at me. “Point taken!” I said sternly. “And if I hear another word out of you about me being King, your head will be removed too.” He said. I just glared at him. We walked for a few more miles till we got to the side of the castle. We could not hear any talking which means that everyone could possibly be in the court yard. Hopefully. “And why the fuck did you send our parents to my daughter!” he asked me with so much annoyance. “I don’t know, I swear it just happened.” I said, knowing that it was not the truth. I sent them there to get to know her better and because they will be safe there. I want my family together again but most of all I want Amber, I fell in love with her, it just happened. I need her in my life. We sat against the castle wall when a loud rumble crept through the castle walls and trembled the earth. Funny enough me and Rhamaz held onto the plants that surrounded us, what a way to take cover from a shake that felt like an earthquake! The rumbled stopped and we heard celebrations and fireworks going off, we both looked at each other curiously to what is happening. “I wish I had a few of chamber glass right now” I said to Rhamaz. “I would strike Dregicht and burn his body to make sure his soul will never be released again.” I said again. “And that is exactly what you wish to so?” Rhamaz asked me. “Yes, a slow paining death.” I replied. “Final? You sure?” He asked me again. “Uh, yes. Why do you ask me this? What do you have in mind?” I asked him. “Nothing, we will do as you have said.” He responded. “I don’t understand, where would we get a chamber glass?” I asked shockingly. He went through his bag and took out a tiny box, the box was wrapped with paper. “I have a piece.” He said confidently. “How is that possible?” I asked in shock. “I took it from father’s bedroom the night before it happened. I don’t know why but something told me to take it and I did.” He explained. “Fuck, I did not even know that he had.” I replied. “Well you were in any case too young to know that he had something like that.” He responded, “So we do what I said to Dregicht?” I asked again. “Yes, why not?” He responded. “So how are we going to get into the castle?” I asked. “I have no clue. Probably just show up at the front gates.” I replied. “if somebody had to ask me why you are King, I would not be able to answer them” He said laughing “We are basically on the side where my bedroom is, it would be great to get hold of Nora too.” I said, “Was she not our nanny?” He asked me. “Yes, indeed brother, she is still around.” I responded. It felt great that he was asking such questions. It basically meant that he was somehow warming up about having a proper family reunion. “Rhamaz, behind this wall is my study room. It would be a great start to get in there. From there we can locate Nora to get a more in-depth on what is happening.” I told him. “Now that sounds like a brilliant idea.” He responded. I climbed onto Rhamaz’s shoulders and peeped over, the balcony was clear and so was my study. I signalled to him that I will be climbing over, and he should follow. Once we were over, we both crawled towards the door of my study. We were both silent as vampires will be able to pick up on any sound from a far. Rhamaz stopped me from trying to break the lock, he took out a little knife and was able to unlock the door. Impressive I smiled at him. We entered my study room and I immediately checked if the door was locked, it was not so I locked it. I ran over to a painting of mine, I had a lock behind it. “What are you doing?” Rhamaz whispered to me. “I have a buzzer, for emergencies. Nora’s one is installed in her watch. If she is still alive and free to roam, she will know where to find me.” I explained to him. I took out the little button and pressed it, I did it about three times as agreed when the buzzers were installed. Within seconds a slow knock on the door. Rhamaz backed away but I knew it was her. I opened the door slowly and she quickly came in. I locked the door again and Nora jumped me with a hug. “Oh, my Lord you are alive. Oh my God, you have no idea how much I missed you Lord Bastiaan.” She said in tears. She turned around and looked at Rhamaz, she looked back at me in shock. “Bastiaan how? Is this Rhamaz? He looks like Rhamaz but just older of cause.” She said shockingly. “Indeed Nora, it is him.” I said and glanced over to him. I could he see he was so over the whole OMG his not dead scenes. Nora went over to him and took both his hands. “Child, I am glad that you are alive and well.” She said. In this case, Rhamaz was the one to give her a hug. “You see Bastiaan, this is a much better response!” He said softly and chucklingly. Suddenly the door broke down and a flood of vampires came bursting in. “Ah, what an amazing family reunion we have!” Dregicht said coming in afterwards. Nora was screaming as the pushed her down to the floor. “Dregicht you will stop this ludicrous act of yours right now! How dare you betray me like this.” I screamed at him. I had about four vampires holding me down and Rhamaz had about six. “How dare I? My Lord, you had this coming. You are not fit to be King however, the rightful King has finally come forth. I was hoping you would never return but here you are.” He said. “You knew that he was alive?” I asked surprised. “Indeed, my Lord, I watched him scurry away and had him watched over the years, but I stopped doing it when he got married and had his daughter.” He replied again. “If I get my hands on you I will have you decapitated, mark my words.” Rhamaz shouted at him. Dregicht just laughed. “Men, take them away to the court yard. I want everyone to see what kind of a weakling they have as a King.” He commanded. “Wait! So, you knew that Amber would save me? You knew for twenty years that she is my saviour?” I shouted at him. “Of cause, and the other secret is that the pure blood needs to be related too. So, her innocence of the mystical world is what makes her a pure blood. Oblivious to what is around her.” He said laughing. I spat at him, Rhamaz’s face and eyes was gleaming red. He was ready to kill and so was I.   Amber’s POV – Chapter 9
