knock on the door and hear her soft voice shout, "Come in." I open the wooden door and see a girl with short blonde hair, moving around the room. Her blue eyes scanned the permimeter, as if searching for something.
"What are you looking for?" I ask.
Keighly, my little sister, looks up and smiles. "Some herbs. I'm making a potion that could potentially help us all."
Even at the age of nine, Keighly already practices magic, and she's quite good too. Keighly will either be found in her room making new concoctions, or in the kitchen eating away. But with her slim figure, you would never guess she ate more than anyone in the kingdom.
"Can I be in here with you?" I ask.
Keighly nods, her blue eyes trained on whatever she was doing at the moment. I walk fully into her room and close the door behind me. I walk to Keighly, until I'm standing by her side.
"So what kind of potion are you making?" I ask, looking down at her mixtures.
Some ingredients I recognize, others are still slightly foreign.
"I'm making a teleportation spell. For now I'm only going to make it go to the kitchen, but as soon as I master the potion. Then I will probably make it teleport somewhere farther away."
I nod, and continue looking down at Kieghly, but it still didn't take my mind fully away from the thoughts of Prince Richard and Derek.
"What's wrong?" Keighly asks suddenly, looking up from her work to stare into my eyes.
For the hundreth time, I notice how different we look. At first glance, you would never pair us as sisters. With my chocolate brown hair that curled naturally and yellow eyes, everyone calls cat eyes. My hourglass figure and tall height. While she had short hair that is so light, it can only be described as blonde, and her blue eyes that everyone calls even bluer than the Arabian Sea. Her stick figure and short height.
Our mother said our father, before he died, had blonde hair and blue eyes. She always compliments Keighly on her beauty and how she is the spitting image of our father. While, look like none of them. My mother says I look like her mother, but I don't believe her. I feel as if there is something else. I may have my mothers green eyes, but that is all. Maybe she's hiding something...something like-
"Cara, can you help me?" Keighly asks, breaking into my thoughts.
"Huh?" I turn to look down at her.
"Well I asked you what was wrong, you blanked out, and know I'm asking you if you want to help me." Keighly says, her voice patient and clam.
"Help you with what?" I ask, fully submerging from my previous thoughts.
"I want you to drink this," Keighly says, holding up a purple liquid potion.
I take the potion and drink it, nothing happening. I trust Keighly, she would never let me drink something that she might think is dangerous.
"Nothing." She says in disappointment.
Suddenly, a warm feeling begins to spread over me, starting from the middle of my back, to my whole body. The warm, tingling, feelings begins to intensify. The temperature turning from warm to increasingly hot.
"Keighly! Ow, ah!" I scream.
"Cara?" A voice asks, footsteps coming from the hallway.
"Derek, in here, something's wrong." Keighly yells frantically, tears beginning to well up in her eyes.
"It's burns! Help me!" I yell pleadingly.
I don't remember Derek or Prince Richard entering the room, but here they are, both by my side. I curl into Derek's chest, the scortching heat never subsiding. I squeeze my eyes shut, hoping to shut the pain out.
"Cara!" Derek yells frantically.
But even as he yells, his voice seems to be getting farther and farther away. Still, I don't dare open my eyes. The fire suddenly stops. Everything seems quiet, until I hear an annoyed voice yell, "Get out of the road!"
My eyes snap open to come face to face with a...thing

. It was shiny and blue, a person sat inside it. What is happening? I turn in a full cirlce and my eyes widen.
Where am

I?
