The Stone Fighters were the Kingdom's most elite protectors. Nothing ever slipped passed them. Except for one.
He was the outcast.
The School of Worlds was known for their music, and their scholars. People of every nation flocked towards their campuses. People competed for a spot on the university's rosters. No one from The Lower District ever got a position. None except one.

"Now listen here-" she tried to say.
"I'm done." I said dismissively. "I will be packing up tomorrow, and leaving. I will get into the Stone Fighters, but I will do it on my own."
"I'd like to see you try." she smirked.
I glared at her. "Watch me."
she humphed, and left. I was alone. And then I wasn't.

Mr. Sicho had slipped into my tent. I shot daggers at him. He put his hands on his hips, and shot daggers right back. I shook my head and leaned against the headboard. He stood there for a while, not saying anything. Finally he sighed.
"Brynelle. . ." he said.
"Save it. I'm not changing my mind. There are other ways to get into the Stone Fighters, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do." I said.
"Do know how low the entrance-rate is for those 'other ways'?" He asked.
"Yes, but the ones that do get accepted are usually the best, and go down in history." I shot back.
"Do you really think-" he tried to say.
"What? You think I can't do it?" I almost shouted as I sat up.
"No, Brynelle, I don't. I wish I could say otherwise but I-" I cut him off again.
"I'm gonna tell you exactly what I told Heptarin, okay. Watch. Me." I said, my voice low, and dangerous.
"You won't get in." he said.
"Do you really think that I gave up everything
just to leave, and never try. I'm fine with leaving, but know that I will try, and try, and try, until I prove you, and everyone else wrong. Just know that when you or anyone else tries to take credit for teaching me, know that none of it was because of you.' I said, harshly.
Sicho was at a loss of words.I got up, and marched past him, batting the flap of the tent out of my way.
