she was screaming already, and was begining to breathe heavily. Almost to the point of having spasms, I could almost swear I saw teeth growing.
"Only me. Calm down, I mean no harm here."
She didn't seem convinced.
"WE HAVE SPENT YEARS TRYING TO KEEP HER SAFE. IF ANY OF THE OTHERS KNEW WE KEPT HER ALIVE.."
"She is in potential danger here, she can only be protected for so long. Let me take her."
She seemed to calm down a bit now, her breathing was still a bit heavy but she was getting better.
"Why? Wait where? Where would you take her?"
"Somewhere safe, away from here, I promise I'll take good care of her."
She gave me a look of agreement and began to walk towards the back of her home; i insintctly followed. She pressed her had against the right wall of a cupboard which lifted a plank on the kitchen floor. Inside the plank was a key. She grabbed the key and went inside what looked like a nursery, in the crib was a hairy pup. I'd never seen a werewolf baby before, and this was a sight. There were all the wolf parts, claws, wolfy nose, even a tail; but instead of being shaped like a pup, it had a human shape. the head the body, everything.
"They begin to have two distinguishable parts after the five months."
"Oh---I-- Sorry for staring."
"Its quite alright, you were staring in the right way."
She pushed back the large bookcase in the nursery and behind it was a steel door. She opened it with the key and revealed a staircase into the ground.
"where are we going the depths of hell?"
"Its the only way to have an extra room that no one notices."
When we arrived at the bottom, there was a large room the size of the entire house. Sort of like an underground bunker.
"Raion its clear."
An equally tall girl emerged from a dark corner, hair like her mother's and eyes just the same.
"I heard strange footsteps. who is he?"
She stared at me with those eyes and for a minute I understood how such a person could captivate entire clans.
"My name is Raphael."
"What does he want mama?", she stared pleading into her mother's eyes; somehow knowing the answer to this question.
"He has come to take you, to offer you sanctuary. You can not stay her Rai, you know it is only a matter of time."
With that said it was silence during the trip up the stairs, apart from muffled sobs coming from both of them.
"Take her through the back so the neighbors won't see her."
"Rai go out back and head straight towards the coast; there will be four people waiting for you, do as they say."
She darted out without hesitation, most-likely with the belief her mother had abandoned her.
"Four people? who are you?"
"Raphael."
"I mean WHO exactly are you?"
"I'm not allowed to explain, only to collect."
"Collect what?"
I darted out as fast as I could, all I could hear in the distance was a "keep her safe for me". Imprint
