The figure punched Jarvis hard and directly at his nose, knocking him down and leaving him unconscious. The figure grabbed his legs and dragged him into the alleyway where a truck hid in the shadows. The figure loaded Jarvis into the truck before it sped away.

Arin watched as the subjects were being loaded off the truck and into their new capsules. In total, five people were captured within a span of a few hours. “Hey, DT! How did you snag so many in such a short time?”
DT looked at him, his eyes glaring at Arin. He looked away from him and walked away through a hidden entrance that the public didn’t know about, sitting under the hill that Hall’s mansion sat on top of. It acted the same as a grocery store’s supply drop-off area that was connected to a road. The entrance was hidden by shrubbery and by being painted to match the surroundings. I looked like it was part of the hill.
“I have my ways,” he muttered before leaving the laboratory and heading into the crisp night air. Arin went down a flight of stairs that bridged the gap between the departments. Arin got to the bottom and headed to the back of the capsules and scanned the labels on them.
“Grant, Emilia, Holly, Ulysses, and Jarvis.” He read out loud. He read a couple of useless details on the capsules before looking back at the observation deck. “I can only hope they’ll be finished by next week.” He muttered. “I can only hope… Unless I want to die.”

Jarvis woke up inside of the capsule, unable to see his surroundings. It was too dark for him to see anything. “Where am I?” He asked himself, pressing his hands against the capsule’s glass before banging on it. “Why can’t I escape!” He shouted. He slammed his fists against the glass, but nothing broke. It was as if he was hitting the glass with a pillow.
A glowing light appeared in front of him to his surprise. Where… Where did this light come from? Is this mine? It isn’t a flashlight, right?
He touched the light with his index finger. The light didn’t burn him, only warming his index finger. He then threw his entire hand into the light, feeling the warmth. Where did it come from? It’s so… soothing.
Jarvis glanced to his sight, utilizing what light he had. He couldn’t see any markings of anything to identify where he was. He could only see a small angle of the outside.
Damn, why is this happening to me? Is God laughing at me! He punched the glass, letting out his anger. He punched the glass gain, the light circling his fist before being absorbed by it. He shouted as he threw a final punch, cracking the glass and breaking it. It shattered on top of him, but he didn’t mind the pain.
Jarvis scurried out of the capsule, looking around. The light had disappeared into his first, now making his first glow. He raised it, using his fist as a light source.
He noticed the blue glow of a computer, glancing up at the second department. Whoever was at the computer had gotten up and was heading to the connecting flight of stairs.
“I need to go… something’s off,” Jarvis muttered. He heard the heavy footsteps, turning away. He ran towards the entrance, which looked like a normal entrance on the side not made public. He grabbed at the door, trying to heave it open to escape. The footsteps were catching up to him.
“I need to escape. Escape. Escape. Escape.” He growled, his fist glowing brighter and brighter. The footsteps were right behind him. He heard the person draw a gun on him, a bullet clicking into place. “I need to… ESCAPE!” He shouted, his first shaking. It then shot out a wave of yellow light that went in every direction, hitting the person behind him. It threw the person against a wall, cracking a few ribs upon contact.
Everything that the light had contact with was destroyed. The door in front of him was being eaten up by the yellow light, which turned into a half-solid object.
Jarvis looked down at his hands, in shock, unsure of what he did. The light continued to gather at his hands, similar to a bucket being filled with water. Jarvis looked up as an alarm began blaring. The person managed to pick himself up and pull a switch that ignited the alarm, blaring a weird combination of the red alarm lights and a yellowish tint from the blast of energy that he created.
How did I do this? What happened to me…? It doesn’t matter, what does is that I escape from here! He burst through the door on the side of the docking bay, escaping into the crisp night air. He felt slight bliss from the night air, surprised to not feel any cold. He only felt warmth… and that was something he rarely got.
Unbeknownst to him, he spent less than a week in the capsule and managed to display such talents for the light element that he mixed with. He was a gem among the incubating capsules.
Security arrived moments later, but none of them could track down Jarvis, who returned to his apartment, out of breath and tired. He decided to go to sleep, unknown that the figure he met earlier, known as DT, was on the prowl for him - and he wasn’t happy to return to a mission.
DT, a man dressed in a solid black cloak, strolled up to the complex Jarvis stayed in. DT wore a black metal face mask that covered the entirety of his lower face. His upper face could be seen as the hood nor the mask covered it.
He had a dark red patch on his cloak, over his heart, that read ‘Death Trooper’. Aside from the patch, the rest of his outfit was black.
Next to him stood a werewolf, covered from head to toe in grayish-white fur with patches of black fur. The werewolf was on the ground, sniffing for Jarvis’s scent. He raised his head, nodding at DT, confirming that Jarvis was inside.
DT nodded before taking a step forward. “I’ll talk to my master about this,” The werewolf remarked. DT waved him off before walking into the hotel. The drunk receptionist noticed DT and attempted to speak, but was interrupted by her burps and stutters.
He ignored her unprofessional attitude, taking out a photo of Jarvis and handing it to the receptionist. The receptionist handed him his entrance to Jarvis’s room through a room number and a key. “If y-you… that w-way!” She slurred, pointing towards her left. DT nodded and headed in that direction, quickly finding Jarvis’s room. He stood in front of the door, forming a blade made out of dark matter that resembled a katana.
“I found you,” He muttered. He inserted the key and turned it before ducking to the left as a beam of light shot through the door. Jarvis shot another beam of light at DT, missing him by an inch. He revealed himself and smirked as he charged towards Jarvis, who shot wildly at DT. Jarvis couldn’t control his power, leading to short and long blasts of raw light that pierced everything in its way. DT smirked before charging with his new weapon, a light machine gun composed of darkness with bullets made out of the same material. “Can you survive this?” He asked as he held down the trigger. The light machine gun roared to life, tearing through the wall, but missing Jarvis as he used the light bursts to block some of the bullets.
Jarvis continued to fire off light blasts at DT, but every shot missed. He wasn’t experienced in his power, but the two hours he had to train was enough to get the gist of it.
“Why are you trying to kill me?” Jarvis asked, pointing his palm at him.
DT grinned. “It’s my mission.” He held down the trigger, firing off a barrage of bullets. None of them hit Jarvis as he disintegrated them with his beams of light.
DT charged in but then he remembered something that stopped him. Don’t get yourself killed. I could tell from the scene that Jarvis isn’t half-baked. He’s a full-fledged soldier with strength, but no experience. Unlike you, he’s a second-generation soldier. His raw strength will best you, so don’t run to your death. If you can’t kill him, retreat and let Ironix deal with it. Ironix will complete the mission. Got it? It was DT’s master, Doctor Spark, who was talking. He respected and feared his master.
He jumped back, nicked by the raw power. He turned tail and ran, leaving Jarvis by himself in his now even more destroyed apartment. DT ran to fight again in the future. To not be replaced as Doctor Spark’s disciple.
“Where did he go?” Jarvis asked, looking around his destroyed apartment. His dog was nowhere in sight. “What do I do now?”
He heard Andy coming down from his apartment, stomping down the rickety stairs. Jarvis heard Andy’s footsteps clamping down to meet him. “What happened?” He heard Andy shout. “Are you okay?”
“No, I’m not. My life has changed,” he muttered while looking down at his hands. “What happened to me? Why is God laughing at me?”

A man, with fading blue hair that he styled into a mohawk, sat down at a wooden table. He wore a leather blazer with a white tee under it. The white tee had “Daughter’s Greatest Dad” on it. He felt ashamed by the shirt.
He sat at the table with three other wooden chairs around the squad wooden table. Sitting at the other chairs were clumps of air and dust. The man stared down at the empty chairs and shook his head before lowering it. “Why did I sell her out?” He muttered as a tear escaped from his eye, streaming down his cheek. “She did everything to please me, yet I burdened her with my insecurities.”
A butler emerged from another room in the two-story mansion, handing the man a rolled-up letter. The man wiped the tear off his cheek, sneakily, before unrolling the letter to read its contents. His eyes skimmed through the letter before finishing it and returning it to the butler. “Kent… tell him that I’ll accept the mission, but I… need information about my daughter.”
“I understand, sir,” Kent responded while bowing to the man. Kent stood up and walked out of the room, leaving the man in the windowless and empty room. All furniture disappeared, leaving behind a wooden table and four wooden chairs.
“Why…?” The man muttered before standing up, reaching to his right side to brandish a retractable chain. “I will save you soon Helen. I will rectify my crimes.” He whispered before facing the door. “First, however, I must kill… Jarvis.” He jumped up - his retractable chain arching over his shoulder and down to his legs. It didn’t wrap over him, keeping a decent distance from his body. The chain was extremely sharp.
“I’ll get you back, honey. I’ll fix our family.” The man lied. “I’ll fix everything.”
