would we?”
I felt my canines coming out but I closed my mouth and hid them Satan had a dark laugh he knew I was getting angry then he said, “Temper. Wow whom did you get that from?”
I only stayed silent then turned away then growled, “Didn’t want this…”
“I know, you tell me that every day hey you can’t go back. The deal is done.
Though you didn’t make a deal with me, oh what a lovely story you have.
Such a pity.”
He had a dark laugh at the end I only growled low but loud enough so he could hear it.
“Now you should go to bed, its getting late want you to have a good first day of school now don’t we?”
I exhaled heavily then sighed, “Yes…”
“Good night son.” Satan called after me as I left.
I stormed out of the room and went up to the tower I went up to my room I took off my shirt and threw it in a corner.
I sighed then pushed my short dark brown hair back then lied down the sheets oh, they were softer then silk the sheets were black then the covers were a dark red.
I looked up at the ceiling I left the canopy tied back.
I must stared at the ceiling for hours until I could fall asleep.
All I could think about was the dying screams of that woman I killed…

I opened my eyes the moment I did I knew where I was.
Home…not Hell my real home.
In Italy 1409, I got up I was in the field, which was not to far from my home the long grass blew against my legs, I looked up at he clear blue sky there was not even a cloud in sight.
The wind was gentle yet strong I heard a shouting in the distance.
“Hey Adrian!” A voice yelled out.
I turned around there was my brother Jacob.
He was one year older than me, he was nineteen, I was eighteen…now.
But…now I was seventeen in this dream before my life changed for the worse.
He was riding a on a dark red thoroughbred with a red mane and a black tail.
He had a saddle, some reins on.
“Hey brother.” Jacob said, laughing.
I looked at him he was perfect.
He was smart, he was great with kids, and he could be a school star.
There was so much to him, most girls would be wanting him.
“Hey Jacob.” I said, looking up at him.
Jacob had black hair which was tied back he had ivory skin, he had green eyes he had on a riding outwear on.
He had no muscles at all although he was strong at times.
“So come on get Midnight and let’s race.”
“Really, come on don’t you have something to do.” I asked, laughing.
“No, come on.” Jacob said, I laughed then ran over to a horse which seemed huge but he wasn’t it was a black horse with dark brown mane and tail.
The horse looked at me with it’s black eyes it only would let me ride it, no one else could read him. Some joked I was some kind of horse whisperer and told him to not let anyone ride him expect for me. I got up it had some reins but no saddle, Jacob looked at me confused why I was riding bareback I said, “A real man rides bareback.”
“Well let’s see if you can beat me!”
Jacob kicked his horse and they took off I didn’t do anything Midnight ran off after them Jacob was laughing I am not sure if he caught a bug or what but he let out a cough then I caught up and we ran through the woods dodging trees then we arrived at a house I remember when I was younger it was a small cottage some smoke came from it there was a small river with a bridge going over it a few goats ran around I went over to the house then a girl came out she was seventeen she was a childhood friend.
Emily was you could say a beautiful girl although to me she was a friend.
Sure she saw me no more than a friend as well.
She came out from the house then said, “Hey how are the two I migliori amici per la vita che sono fratelli?”
Emily said in a soft Italian accent.
Jacob laughed and said, “Yes I guess we are best friends.”
“Some may think you two are so close, that you guys are twins.
Being together even before you were born.”
“Yeah but Adrian over here is one year younger then me.” Jacob chuckled coming over to me.
I got off the horse then looked at Emily, she had black hair, brown eyes and a tan.
She had a long blue dress on with a grey vest on she said, “Hey Adrian you have matured haven’t you.”
I had a slight laugh then said, “I been mature for a while.”
“I know, well hey isn’t it a special day?” Emily teased.
“Yes it is!” Jacob said, while laughing, then messing my hair up.
“It is?” I asked, with a slight laugh.
Emily said, “Eighteen years old tonight.”
“That’s great, well sure mom would throw a party for you.” Jacob said, proud of how old I was getting.
“So what are you planning to do after tonight?” Emily asked.
I shrugged then said, “Might join the military or might help Jacob at the church.”
“Yeah he’s good with kids, they listen so well to him.”
“Thank you for taking care of my sister, she hasn’t talked since our mother died.
Now she talks about you all the way home after church.”
I had a slight laugh then Jacob said, “He’s a good younger’s lady’s man.”
I laughed slightly then said, “Well, I don’t know why she just…”
“You make people feel safe.” Emily said.
I had a slight laugh then Jacob said, “Well I am off to see my girlfriend.”
“See you tonight brother.” I called out to him.
Jacob rode off Emily said, “Hey Rebecca look who’s here.”
There was a small face peaking out of the doorway it looked like she was starving yet she was that pale she had dark brown puppy dog eyes she had on a dress like her sister’s.
Her light brown hair was long and thick it hadn’t been brushed.
“It’s Adrian.” Emily said, smiling at her sister, she got a small smile then came out she had a rag it was an old blanket she came out running she was so small.
Yet she was a premature baby she seemed three years old when she was five.
I kneed down and she came in running hugging me, “Happy birthday.”
“Oh thank you for remembering.” I said, with a slight laugh then whispered, “Unlike your sister.”
I picked Rebecca up she had her small arms wrapped around me Emily said, “God you are going to be a great dad.”
“I don’t know if I would find anyone.”
Emily said, “You will, trust me love is for any kind soul.
You have a good soul Adrian.”
(Wish that was true now…)
I said, “Well, you have a sweeter soul than I do.”
Emily laughed then said, “Don’t be silly, you to me are perfect.”
“Wait are you two going to kiss!” Rebecca asked, disgusted, sticking her little pink tongue out.
I had a slight laugh then saw Emily blushing a little I said, “So Emily seems like you might like me?
Or are you getting sick you are a little red.”
“Adrian, you know you aren’t my type.” Emily said.
“You know I am.” I teased.
Then Rebecca said, “Adrian can you read to me again.”
“Rebecca Adrian has to go how about we go to his party tonight.
Then you can bug him all you want.”
“I don’t bug him…do I?” Rebecca asked, looking at me with huge dark brown eyes.
“Of course not.” I said, giving a smile.

I was got home it was in town the house was a light brown or red brick.
The roof was flat there was two stories, the windows were open I went inside then I saw my mother come in from a room she had blonde hair there was some grey strands in her hair.
Her skin was a fair skin, she had blue eyes she had on a yellow dress on with an apron on, with her hair tied back in a braid.
She smiled at me her face had some wrinkles yet she looked younger then she was.
“Hey Adrian.” She said, hugging me.
She seemed so fragile her bones were weak yet she gave a soft mother-like glow.
“Hey mother.” I said softly.
Then I noticed most of her friends and a few friends of mine were there.
“Happy birthday.” Everyone said, everyone was off which was kind of amusing when everyone looked at each other after words.
I laughed then saw most of the kids who I took care of at the church came running over to me.
I sat down on the ground the kids were only from pre-school to 3rd grade.
They were small yet they teamed up and tackled me, yet I knew I could easily handle them but I just let them play.
“Kids be nice he’s getting old.” Jacob said, laughing.
I had a slight laugh Rebecca pushed others away and crawled into my arms.
“Hey!” A kid yelled then pouting.
“Rebecca.” I said, in a gentle father-like tone.
She got up then went to go play with another girl.
The kids ran off once Jacob came in with a few homemade toys.
Then I saw my sister she was only three she had soft blonde hair, her hair was curled, and she was so small and fragile.
She had on a small soft pink dress she had a few white ribbons in her hair.
She was in a corner with a teddy bear hugging it tight, afraid if she let go it would turn into dust.
“Hey Aldabella.” I said, softly crawling over to her and sitting on my knees.
I came over to her she looked up at me then said, “Brother?”
I smiled then sat down by her she sat in my lap then curled up in my lap she looked up at me then said, “Adrian…”
“Yes?” I asked softly and gently.
“I had a nightmare…”
“Really want to talk about it?” I asked, in a soft voice.
Aldabella said, “I thought I saw these monsters ripping you apart.”
I stroked her soft yellow hair she seemed scarred I had a slight laugh then said, “Don’t worry I am here, I will never leave you.”
“Promise?” Aldabella asked, sweetly, letting her eyelashes pat.
I smiled then leaned down then whispered, “I promise, I love you.
Now your nightmare tell me about it?”
“I screamed for them to stop but they just kept killing you.
Then they left you…blood was everywhere!” she started crying I had her put her face in my shirt she cried then clutched my shirt.
“Shh, it’s ok I am here.” I said, stroking her hair and her soft back.
Then Jacob and Emily came over they saw Aldabella Jacob said, “Hey Aldabella you ok?”
He looked at me then mouthed, “Is she ok?”
I shook my head then stood up holding her I whispered into Jacob’s ear, “Bad nightmare.”
Jacob gently took her from my arms she didn’t want to let go but once she smelled Jacob she hugged his neck.
Emily said, “So you are eighteen when?”
“At nine,
