introduce another player into this battle. Mia!” He shouted, alarming Mia, who was watching from afar. She sheepishly walked out into the clearing and went up to Kirby.

“Yes?” She asked, her voice coming out as a whisper.

“Do you wish to join? I see that you’ve been eyeing us?”

“She has?” Aiden asked.

Mia froze up on the spot, stuttering.

“You have been watching Aiden for a while.” Kirby teased her. He knew that she had a crush on Aiden, but also understood that the dense Aiden wouldn’t understand his words and, instead, take them for face value.

“Why have you been watching me? Stalking me?”

“I was… interested in… your… training.” She lied, putting on a straight face. Aiden was okay with her being interested in his training, simply taking it like that; he didn’t understand the true intentions behind her words. He was similar to a dense fantasy protagonist.

Mia was secluded while the other three were positioned farther away from her, armed with their training swords. Kirby watched over the duel, pinning the siblings against Aiden.

“3… 2… 1… start!”

Eryn charged first, leaving his sister behind. He raised the hilt of the sword to his ear and charged forward. His sister flanked around Aiden, taking her sword and pointing the tip towards the ground. Aiden gripped the sword and held it in front of him, waiting for Eryn to close the distance before blocking the initial strike. However, Payton appeared behind him and struck at him. Aiden detected her presence and moved left, dodging her initial strike. With the flank failing, Aiden turned around and struck at her body. Payton raised her arm to take the blow before slamming him in the gut. Eryn then reached in and bluntly hit him in the head.

Aiden retreated a few paces, shaking his head to move his brain back in place. He then activated Locate to teleport behind them, but it failed. He hadn’t practiced Locate enough to activate its true power, unable to move for a few moments.

Eryn and Peyton then used the moment of hesitation to land a fury of strikes. Aiden blocked most of them, but the strikes that made contact dealt very little damage. The practice swords wouldn’t cause immense or long-lasting pain.

After being cornered, he then activated Undercover, but that plan failed as well. He treated Undercover and Locate as worthless skills that wouldn’t help achieve his revenge and avenge his village. Instead, he activated Divine Hope---the only skill he practiced---and charged towards them. The siblings looked at each other before raising the swords’ hilts to their ear and jabbing Aiden in the stomach, effectively dropping him to the ground.

“Do you know why you lost?” Kirby asked him, staring down at a sprawled-out Aiden.

“Why?” Aiden asked, glancing up at the sky.

“You focused too much on strength and not on intelligence. You could’ve teleported behind them or masked your presence to adjust yourself, but you didn’t practice enough to reach the beginners' threshold.”

“I see,”

“Once you recover, let’s begin teaching you the basics. Everything you know about your skills must be thrown out of the window. I’m going to teach you from scratch.” He declared. Aiden nodded, laying flat on the ground. He then raised his arm and grabbed at the sky.

“I will avenge you.” He declared towards the sky.

Episode Five "Mia"

Aiden looked towards the open sky, laying on his back. He was taking a break from the satanic and ruthless training Kirby had him on. Aiden would spend days exhausting his mana by chaining his skills. Chaining skills, the act of using a skill right after the previous one deactivates, could only be used by people who have control over their powers. Aiden developed that power by using his skills often, exposing himself to the advantages of his skills.

Meanwhile, Mia trained with Kirby, clashing swords. She put herself into her slices, attacking Kirby twice within a single breath. She was slowly getting better, making her way up to Payton and Eryn’s skill-level. However, she held onto a weakness that prevented her from breaking into a new stage. She was quick on her feet and was able to throw out attacks, however, she wasn’t able to cooperate with others. It’s not that she didn’t want to work with others, but she couldn’t. She froze up and doubted herself as her teammate threw orders at her.

Kirby wanted to eliminate that weakness, throwing Eryn on her team against Payton and Aiden for a small spar. Eryn attacked first, catching Aiden off-guard and clashing swords. Payton faced Mia, attacking her.

Eryn glanced over his shoulder and shouted an order, Mia scrambling to complete it. However, she was disorganized and bewildered. She was trying to multitask fighting and taking Eryn’s orders, but that balance was one-sided. She needed to focus on fighting and be given short orders, nothing complex like the spin-attacks and charges that Eryn ordered. He treated Mia as his sister, but she didn't share the same connection with him. Eryn and Payton were on the level that they could tag team and take down any target with ease. Unfortunately, this connection was not formed between Eryn and Mia, causing disfigured communication.

The horrific team fought against Payton and Aiden, who were in a better standing ever since Aiden’s defeat at the siblings’ hands. Unlike the losing team, Aiden and Payton respected each other and did their best to prevent miscommunication. Eryn, on the other hand, wasn’t like that. He acted like an alpha, leading the charge while imposing unrealistic expectations and rules on comrades to get small holes in his plan plugged up. He treated his sister as a roll of duct tape, ensuring his plans went off without a hitch.

Payton was never like her brother, often being more submissive under her brother’s rule, however, their relationship was never strained. They acted as a ying-yang, their strengths taking over their weaknesses. If Payton was weak, Eryn was strong enough for both of them; and vice-versa. They were the best brother and sister team.

Even so, they could never reach Aiden’s level because of his skills and holy weapon. This, thankfully, didn’t deter them, besting Aiden in a duel and earning his respect. Now the team has expanded to fit three. Could it fit four?

Aiden sat up, unknowingly gawking at Mia and her clash with Kirby. She was defending each attack and blow, dishing out the same fury at a lower rate.

Kirby accomplished a downward swing, aimed for Mia’s head, and an instant win. Mia noticed the swing, choosing to lose ground. Kirby changed the downward swing into a spin-attack, nicking her arm as she defended from the attack. She lost more ground, being thrown towards the forest. She would lose if she passed the forest line.

“I can’t retreat,” She muttered to herself, raising her sword for a downward swing. Kirby recognized the attack, darting to the right. Mia let the obvious downward swing go, taking her along with it. She rolled into a ball and went forward, passing Kirby. He looked astonished as she unraveled herself, expanding to be her full size. She now needed to be pushed to the opposite forest line to lose.

“Clever,” He remarked before throwing a fury of blows at Mia. She took the blows, parrying most of them as some tore at her. They were using wooden swords but the splintered wood tore through their clothes.

After a rhythm of blocking and attacking, Kirby called the duel off, declaring Mia the winner for her intelligence. She managed to psyche him out and turn the tables. She wasn’t able to push him back but managed to survive five minutes against him.

Aiden watched, slightly proudly, as the duel went on. He clapped loudly as Kirby declared her the winner. Eryn and Payton joined in the clapping, embarrassing the otherwise shy Mia. She looked down at the ground, trying her best to ignore the applause but couldn’t.

“Good job,” Aiden told her.

She blushed hard. She looked away from him, whispering a small “thank you”.

The others cheered, congratulating her for her efforts. It was apparent that she was getting better. However, she still had a large weakness. She struggled to work efficiently with others, only getting in their way. She was getting better, Aiden could see that. He complimented her, raising her self-esteem after such a great feat.

“Maybe I could…” She started, staring at the sun. “Get stronger.”

Her brother, Emilie, watched with scornful eyes. He hated them for stealing his sister and implanting their vicious ways. He also despised the siblings for their ability to fight. They wanted to become Ironheight knights, something Emilie spat on. He hated Ironheight knights. They nearly killed him before.

Episode Six "Together and United, NOT Lonely and Separated"

The following night, Kirby decided to ship them out to a nearby hot spring resort instead of continuation training. He was satisfied with their progress, marking the days of cruel and ruthless days a success.

The four were sent to the resort, known as Green Ice’s Hot Spring Resort. There the students met with the receptionist, a young woman from Hemlock. Eryn and Payton recognized her, running to her side.

“Mother!” They simultaneously shouted. Aiden and Mia froze, stunned by the realization that their mother was so young. Often, parents were in their forties and fifties, sometimes thirty, but rarely their late twenties. They were stunned at the black sleep in front of them.

Mia opened her mouth but Aiden blocked her. He shook his head at her. “Don’t ask,” He whispered.

The mother looked up and noticed Aiden, letting out a small chuckle. “She’s fine. It makes sense for a young lady to be curious about the world.” She remarked, going around the desk and towards them. “I’m Hillary, Eryn, and Payton’s mother. You must be the Holy Weapon Wielder right?” She asked, looking at Aiden.

He nodded his head.

“And you must be his lov-” Eryn and Payton shushed her. She turned back to them, slightly confused. Mia’s head began overheating while Aiden looked around, confused at the current situation. Hillary turned back around and
