few days with Kai. They got to know each other even better. Every moment that they spent together was one too little. By the end of the banquet on Friday night, she and Kai, had hardly spent a moment out of the otherโs presence.
Over the next several weeks, Phyrraโs mother had several banquets. But it was one on a Sunday evening that stood out more than the others.
Phyrra dressed in her most formal, yet comfortable gown. A gown that was pure white except for the aqua blue accents. For the occasion, Phyrra even gave herself aqua highlights.
Everybody was having a great time at the banquet. Phyrra was dancing with Kai when the hall door opened and everything went black with a screamโฆ
โWhere am I?โ Phyrra grumbled as she groggily sat up on the floor, where she had fallen moments afterโฆ but where was she? As she stood up with a start, she noticed that she was in a pitch-black room with the smell of death and decay lingering in the air, and with no one to scream to, no one to plead with. But as she began to lose all hope, the door to her room opened and she was almost blinded by the light that entered. But when she ws able to look at the light, she saw a figure. It was human, or elven rather, and as it sope, she knew exactly who it was.
โPhyrra? Are you awake?โ
โKai!!!โPhyrra ran to him and she cried like she thought sheโd never cry. She cried until she thought she couldnโt cry anymore.
โKai, get me out of here. Where am I? Where is my mother? Is she alright?โ
โIโm sorry Phyrra but I cant get you out of here. I almost couldnโt get in, it would be much more difficult to get out. Your mother was killed in the attack by on of your sisters. As for them, nobody has seen them since the attack. Everybody thinks it was them that coordinated this attack because otherwise, security would be very lax,โ said Kai with a genuine tone of sorrow in his voice.
โHow long have I been asleep?โ
โJust a little over two days I guess.โ
