โI never thought it was you!โ Caleb growled. I couldnโt see who he was talking to so I went a little closer, careful as I possibly could. I saw a man, wrists tied with silver chain, kneeling on the ground. He was covered with cuts and bruises... blood all over his face and body. I gasped. He looked so beaten up. Did Caleb do this?
โI-Itโs not me, Alpha.โ said the beaten man. I recognized his voice. My eyes widen when I realized who it was. He was one of the 5 who abducted meโLuke! I covered my mouth with my 2 shaking hands in so much shock.
โYou cannot lie, you know that?โ Caleb said, stoop down a little and stared at Lukeโs bloody face. His eyes went from emerald green to black. โTell me everything you told them.โ
Luke stiffened. โI told them that you found your mate. I told them where to find her and what she looks like.โ He said with a blank expression, as if he was like a robot. What just happened? Whoโs them?
โOther than that, did you say anything else?โ Caleb interrogated.
โNo, Alpha.โ Luke answered in a monotone.
โGood.โ Caleb smiled and with just one swipe of his hand, he sliced Lukeโs neck. Big amount blood gushed out of the large wound.
I let out a scream. I was sure Caleb and the others who witnessed the scene heard me because they all turned to where I was. I ran as fast as I could back to the mansion as tears fell from my eyes. Caleb killed him. I saw his face. There was no sign of emotion. It was cold. His eyes were cold.
I didnโt notice anything as I ran fast. It was too late when I realized someone was already standing in front of the double doors of the house.
Caleb.
โHello, Love. Out for a run, I see.โ
