Chapter.6.
When they had left the castle, Amade Poison had taken from Cyrus and tied the prisoner to a horse, then the leader had turned to his own snow-white horse. He held the long line of Poison's black horse in his right hand and mounted his white horse. Zynoa trembled when she looked at Poison, who was still unconscious. A thousand thoughts flashed through her mind, thoughts of how she could best kill this man. She was very hopeful Suzuki would have him executed. This man had already done too much damage. "What are you waiting for, little one, are you going to put down roots here?" she could hear Cyrus' voice, which startled her and stopped her thoughts. She looked at Cyrus and shook her head in denial. When he smiled at her friendly, she ran to him and climbed up on the horse. Azaria laughed when she saw Zynoa fighting to get on the horse and still managed to sit behind Cyrus. "Can we?" Amade asked and looked from Azaria to Cyrus and Roduke. Everyone nodded and Azaria rode ahead with her white horse. A little later Roduke and the two from Fearless followed her on their own horses. "Are you all right? You're so quiet," Cyrus spoke worriedly and looked at Zynoa. She flinched again, held on to Cyrus in fright so as not to fall off the horse and nodded quickly. "Yes, all is well," she stuttered and she could feel his gaze resting on her, so she quickly looked down. She knew from her father that her eyes were like an open book for everyone. She did not want Cyrus to overhear her thoughts of Poison's execution. He laughed briefly, looked forward again and spoke softly: "You don't get any rest from Poison, do you? Zynoa swallowed and she felt how hot she was getting, she looked at Cyrus, who grinned and she muttered disappointedly: "How do you know that?" Cyrus drove the horse to keep up with the others, then he explained: "Whenever I am in my thoughts I always look down and well, if anyone harmed my family I would have wished them dead. Zynoa shook her head violently. Why did Cyrus talk to her like that? He had no idea what exactly had happened, what Poison had done to her mother. "You have no idea," Zynoa said her thoughts out loud in annoyance. She bit her tongue, had she really just said that out loud? How stupid was she? But Cyrus just sighed and looked forward to the path again. "How many people do you think I've lost who mean a lot to me or who I saw dying friends," he asked calmly and looked briefly at Zynoa again. She swallowed heavily and looked at the dark floor. She did not want to answer, she knew she had hit a sore spot. She didn't want to upset the vice-leader of Fearless with her words, so she just shrugged her shoulders as a sign that she had no idea. "You must know the Wolf Alliance. She killed many of our people. Innocents who could not really defend themselves yet, to show how powerful and strong they are. But that was a mistake. They didn't expect Amade to sic his magical being on them," Cyrus explained, grinning as he thought back as Amade unleashed his flaming lion on Wolf. He bowed his head and Zynoa blinked in amazement. She thought only her mother had a magical being. Suddenly Amade called Cyrus quietly to him and the vice-leader rode to his leader as fast as he could, nodded and looked at Amade. "Something is wrong here," Amade whispered to the summoner and looked cautiously behind him. Cyrus followed the gaze of his leader and a little later nodded in agreement, "What's wrong," Zynoa asked and looked back as well, but all she could make out was the dark forest and the forest path they had ridden along. "Wolf is here," Cyrus whispered softly and slowly let himself fall back with Amade, who had handed Roduke the rope to Poison's horse. Without asking, Roduke had accepted the rope and nodded, as if the two fighters had communicated with each other through thoughts. "What does that mean," Zynoa asked panickedly but Cyrus didn't answer but raised his hand, put his finger on his mouth and gave Zynoa just a sign to be quiet. She swallowed, it ran down her back in a cold sweat. She looked back and forth in panic, hoping to see something, but saw nothing but the bright moonlight that illuminated the stone path and gave a view of the dark forest.
Zynoa could hear her own heartbeat. She had the feeling that everything around her had stopped. More and more the two fighters let themselves fall back and slowly came to a halt. Zynoa swallowed as Cyrus and Amade dismounted from their horses and looked around watchfully. Cautiously and quietly, Zynoa also dismounted, if they were ready to fight, then so was she. She looked down at her blades, was she strong enough? "Cyrus and Amade. What a surprise to see you," a deep male voice spoke, interrupting Zynoa's doubts. A warrior in dark gray armor stepped out of the bushes. He had drawn his golden sword and his red eyes glowed darkly at Lucifer, who was also slowly drawing his sword. "You are surrounded," said the man, stroking his blue hair. Zynoa flinched as more and more fighters appeared from the bushes to her right and left, blood masters, warriors, and summoners. Cyrus pulled Zynoa towards him and the girl trembled, would they die now? Here and now? In the forest of screaming souls? Would her soul dwell there when they died? "What do you want from us Zhang?", Cyrus asked annoyed and made sure he protected Zynoa. Zhang laughed as he watched Cyrus and Zynoa. Zynoa gasped as she noticed how angry Cyrus became. The starlight appeared around him and Zynoa retreated a little for fear that it would disturb Cyrus' magic. Suddenly a warrior from Wolf grabbed Zynoa and pulled her away from Cyrus. She cried out and Zhang called out loudly in Chinese to attack. The outnumbered fighters rushed at the two fighters of Fearless and the enemy warrior disappeared with Zynoa into the forest. He kept screaming and kicking, trying to hurt the enemy with her blades but she didn't really make it. He had grabbed her tightly and held her back so she couldn't really defend herself. The young blood master could hear Cyrus calling her name, apparently he had started the pursuit after he had freed himself from Wolf. The enemy warrior kept running until he arrived in front of another lake, then he looked at Zynoa who kept trying to free herself and he whispered: "Stop it, I don't want to kill you" But Zynoa didn't hear, she screamed and bit violently into the warrior's arm. The warrior cried out and threw Zynoa into the lake. "No!!" cried the girl, looking in panic at the enemy warriors dressed in red and black, whose face was covered by a red cloth, and she fell into the freezing water. Panic overcame Zynoa she couldn't swim! She tried wildly to push herself up to the surface with her arms and legs, but she sank deeper and deeper no matter what she tried, her throat started to close up. More and more panic and fear overcame her and the young woman felt the heat leaving her body. She tried to scream again with her last ounce of strength and immediately water started to flow into her throat. The girl kicked in panic and quickly closed her mouth again. How stupid did she think Cyrus could hear her under water? She spat out the water with her last bit of air. Her lungs hurt, it felt like her whole body was contracting. She saw the darkness coming over her, and her body was getting weaker and weaker. Her body turned and she hit her head against a stone that was at the bottom of the lake. Pain went through her body, but she was far too weak to react. More and more she felt her life seem to end slowly and she thought of her parents one last time, hoping they could forgive her for following Poison and risking her own life before she
