(Alia P.O.V)

“Wake up, we’re almost there,” Jared whispered into my ear.

I opened her tired green orbs and lifted her face from Jared’s neck. Suddenly a large castle came into view.

“Humans know nothing of this castle.” Jared started, “It’s protected deep within this forest and has been in the Ellwood clan for millennia.” Turning his head he said, “You’ll be happy here, and you’ll make friends.”

His pace quickened and there were a few people I could see along the large stone walls that guarded the castle and Jared dashed through the large gate of his home. Voices boomed around her.

“Prince Jared has returned!”

“He’s brought a girl too.”

“Could she be the one he had left for?”

“It’s about time…”

“I can tell she’s human.”

“She’s a beauty that’s for sure.” Jared cast the man a glare, who cringed.

The other voices drowned out as they entered the large palace, few people had gathered upon hearing the shouts outside. Alia tightened her grip on Jared’s shoulders when their gazes turned to her.

“This must be her,” a woman said, her voice soft and I could tell there was a smile in it. Pulling her face from the vampires’ neck as she felt him stop, she saw this woman. Long pink hair and green eyes and she wore a crimson dress. She was beautiful and her small smile made her look friendly.

Jared nodded, “She is, my Mother.”

That explained why they looked so much alike.

“Alia,” Jared turned his head to me, “this is my mother, Erika Ellwood, Queen of the vampires and other creatures,”

A man who looks exactly like Jared, I think he is his twin’s brother, asked. Black hair in a ponytail and bangs and eyes that watched her just like Jared’s but lines under his eyes. He was handsome, but nothing compared to Jared. “That is my elder brother, Josh, and the other behind him, is my father, Logan, King of the vampires.”

“You’ve been away for a while, son, Josh is the King now,” the man was older; wisdom could be seen on his face. I could see where Jared and Josh had gotten their looks from. This family of four had the same hair and eyes expect their mother. And both men wore black, just as Jared did, Erika was the only one who seemed to wear a different color. “May we know the woman it is you have brought home?”

“Alia Knight,” I said shyly while looking at the ground fidgeting with my finger.

Josh seemed to smile, “Princess Knight, huh, Jared? It’s about time you have a lifetime partner.” I felt his body tense at his brothers’ words.

‘Jared will still keep his promise?’ I thought.

“Yeah,” Jared would keep his promise to me.

“Where are the others?” he asked, letting me off his back gently. I stood close to the Jared side, still unsure about the people around me.

“She sure is a beautiful thing,” the Ellwood woman said, “they are waiting for you in the gardens.”

Nodding Jared grabbed my hand and tenderly pulled me along behind him.

Once the two left the room, the three began talking. “Miss Alia has warmed our dear Jared’s heart, I see. She will make a fine Queen for him.”

“Indeed, and my mate could use more company.” The new king said.

I was observing the corridors we passed, I thought it would be darker, but it was fairly beautiful. The walls were not what she expected for vampires to dwell. Other vampires stopped to stare at us as we passed through them.

It didn’t take long until we’re outside and into a garden that seemed much like her own.

“Jared!” a group of voices shouted.

“I want you to meet my friends,” Jared said while looking at me and tugging me with him.

“Well, well, well, Ellwood finally got himself a girl. I never saw this coming.” A man with long brown hair watched me carefully. His orbs were white with no pupils and his body was covered in white hair and black pants and boots.

“She’s too beautiful for you Ellwood.”

“Be nice Siddharth,” a brown-haired girl with two buns said to him hitting his head.

“Hey, I am Linda and this is Siddharth fortunately and unfortunately, we are mattes, This is Priya Neji’sister, ” she said introducing each other.

The girl she introduced had beautiful hair and Sakura was envious of it, a striking lavender color and her eyes matching her cousin. Her body was thin, but Sakura could tell it was strong. Priya’s skin seemed to glow in the moonlight.

″Ali Knight,” I said introducing myself to them.

“Very pleased Sakura,” Priya said and smiled at me.

“Pleasure is all mine,” I said to her with my own smile.

“Would you boy’s leave us so we could get more acquainted?” Priya asks the boys.

Jared was about to say something, “C’mon Ellwood, let Alia make some friends, you have the rest of your life to be with her now move it.” Siddharth said to him with a smirk on his face.

“You’re treading dangerous ground Siddharth,” Jared glared at the other male before turning his eyes to me. “Do you want to stay with them? They’re good friends of mine,” he asks and I nodded my head as a yes.

“Tell them to come to get me if you need anything.”

“Geeze Jared you act like we don’t know where anything is. We can help Sakura out is she needs anything. Go and hang out with Matt, that idiot won’t shut up until he sees you.” Linda replied and Alia watched as Priya glared at the brown-haired woman.

Jared looked at me for one more time and walk out of the garden with Siddhart.

Talk with my friends

My face turns red when I heard my parents talking about how Alia will be a good queen for our kingdom.

 

‘She’ll only be my Queen if she chooses to be mine…’ I thought and continue tugging her along with me towards the garden.

 

It didn’t take long until we’re outside and into a garden that seemed much like Alia’s garden.

 

“Jared!” a group of voices of my friends shouted as soon as we come into their view.

 

“I want you to meet my friends.” said to her while tugging her along with me.

“Pleasure is all mine,” Alia said to her with her own smile. But I can see she was a little nervous with them and I don’t blame her for that because I understand after getting so much hatred from her family it’s normal for her to be nervous while meeting with new people.
