These four are not that well-known and have low ranking levels amongst the other adventures in this adventure guild.
"Should we have a look, Leader?" A guy, known as Dax, in the group asked.
Leader Gran Flois, of the Bear Claw Adventurers, sat with his arms crossed.
"Dax, go take a look." Gran orders.
"Sure thing, Leader." Dax says standing to walk over to the quest board.
"Will we really accept a request from that Prince?" Gate, another guy apart of their four man guild, asked.
"What other choice do we have? We are low on money." Chipper says with a sigh afterwards.
After a minute goes by, Dax returns with a distressed expression.
"Yo, what's that look for?" Gate asked.
Dax returns to his seat, "it's a high-ranking quest, but it's offering 400 gold coins and 100 silvers for whoever accepts the mission." He says.
"High-ranking, like how high?" Chipper asked.
"Rank 50." He answered.
It was silent amongst them.
"That's pretty damned high. Who on Earth would choose a request that crazy high? There aren't any adventurers here in Perphius with a level higher than 20!" Gate explodes.
Through all this their leader hadn't said a word.
He looked as though he was in thought.
And they were right, while his expression showed to be calm and collected. On the inside he was freaking out.
In actual fact the guild's leader was a coward and always made his team do all the work.
They never knew this and followed him blindly, they never felt like the reason their team was so bad was because their leader was a terrible strategist and afraid of danger.
He does have one redeeming feature about him, though and that was his knowledge in equipment.
He knew the best equipment out there and has an eye for detail and if it's sellable or of use to them.
It's because of high-quility equipment, that this small group still lived.
"Leader, what do you think?" Chipper asked.
All three looked in his direction, though he hadn't been paying attention.
Leader's thoughts: Shit, what do I do? I don't want to go on such a dangerous quest!
But, they're relying on my answer. I have no other choice....damn I'm sure I'll regret it for sure.
"I say we accept the quest. After all, we definitely need the money." He points out.
Leader's thoughts: Shit! Shit! Shit!
I must be crazy! I just want to run away!
His expression is still calm and collected on the outside.
"I agree! The Leader always thinks for the guild!" Dax says with a grin.
Leader's thoughts: I wonder if I can take it back?
No, it's not good to show my true thoughts in all this.
That night they accepted the quest and a few other adventurers as well.
A misunderstanding about the Monster in the mountains continues to spread, what will happen to our Main Character's that are being falsely accused?
Vol 1 Ch 10: Three Days Till
Meanwhile our Main Characters are unaware of the situation going on in the Kingdom.
Subjugation Forces
"His highness, Prince Judis Armitis will now speak!" Sir Roman stood on a wooden platform facing a huge crowd of soldiers and adventurers.
He stepped aside and Prince Judis stepped forward to face these forces.
"All hale, His Highness the Prince!" The crowd roars loudly.
He holds up his hand to silence the excited crowd before speaking.
Everyone became silent immediately.
"My dear citizens of Armitis Kingdom, I have been too lax. For that I would like to apologise. Because of my incompetence as your Prince we have lost many good folk. And I want to say that I agree with everyone here if you say that I should step down because of this incompetence of mine. But before that, I would like to make a stand. As the Prince of this kingdom I would like to make up for my mistakes. This is why that instead of sitting around doing nothing we will march to Mount Irda to exterminate the monster that has brought harm to my people!"
He waited for the end of the excitement that erupted among the soldiers and adventurers before speaking again.
"If somehow I do no get our revenge and once again fail you, then I will be happy to step down from my throne and appoint Sir Roman here as the new Prince!" Prince Judis declared.
The roars of the people began again.
"Let's march forward and take back Mount Irda! Men, women, go forth and take revenge on that monster!" He yelled over the cheers while pointing towards the mountains that can be seen in the distance.
Afterwards, he followed Sir Roman to the carriage and horses that awaited for them.
"Prince, it seems that the people believed your speech." Roman says.
Prince Judis sat in the carriage and Sir Roman slid across from him.
All the soldiers and adventures mounted the horses that lined up behind the carriage.
"Well, I think to get people's hearts moving a speech to match the occasion is a must." Prince Judis says with a fake and gentle smile.
While it is true that he would never step down from his throne, and the real reason that he wanted to get the message across this way was so that his mistake didn't make him look bad.
Because to him, appearances were everything.
Playing as a Prince who cared for his people......this was the image he was willing to act out.
Another's Perspective
Still these Main characters of ours have no clue what's coming in three days.
Reesa is focusing more on her combat, she's been able to defeat monster's with levels up to 60.
Since this was the case, Islacc had to send her off to defeat higher level foes.
Til was given the task to make medicine, his skill is mostly being a great healer.
Hina had to learn how to control her mana, for some reason it keeps going out of control.
While Islacc had nothing to do and since everyone else was so busy he decided to go out to spread his wings.
Everyone is busy doing something and none of them are aware of the army headed in their direction.
Islacc's Perspective
The view from the sky as a dragon flies high in the clouds.
Islacc is deep in thought.
He had realized that everything around him had changed.
Since he was so used to it being just him and Til, he never really thought that it was a bad thing.
But then Reesa came, life was a little more busy and he started realizing that she had the traits to become the perfect Demon Lordress.
At first the goal to help her get there seemed like a pipe dream.
But slowly, he felt that she was starting to match well with him, who's an Ancient dragon.
While it is true that she still can't defeat him in a fight, she has definitely showed potential of doing so one day.
Then after Reesa came Hina.
When Reesa brought home this really dirty elf that just went through an evolution change, he was actually too shocked to react.
Also, he learned that Reesa was a bit scary sometimes so he didn't want to upset her by denying her anything.
It's a little embarrassing for him to admit out loud though.
It's become painfully obvious of his attachment to Reesa, but he'd have to be a monk not to find her attractive.
An image of an alluring Reesa appears in his head.
He imagines him gripping her slender waist with his hands and burrying his face in the bounciness of her C-cup breast.
Would it be so bad to think like this when she's not around?
To think he would become such an old pervert.
Two days later...
There's only one day left before the forces arrive at Mount Irda.
If one looked from the mountain's peak, then one could see the flickering torches from a distance.
Of course as usual these four haven't the slightest clue on the danger that's almost at their doorstep.
Female Lead's Perspective
"I've been gaining magic skills left and right, so far I even managed to reach level 54. Why haven't I evolved anymore than this?" I asked Islacc.
He was lying on the sofa with a book in his hand.
Thanks to his growth on me, the sexy vibe he's oozing off at this moment did not faze me....
Is what I would love to say.
Except the fact that today he was sporting a pair of glasses that enhanced his handsome and stern features three times the fold.
Is it possible for him to get even hotter than this, I wonder?
I mentally waved away that thought, let's focus here.
"It's simple, if you want to evolve more than usual than you'd have to kill a whole bunch of times." He says matter of factly.
Well to say that, I have actually already evolved three times since I've been here.
I was still a General but everything else about me evolved.
Not only did I grow a tail and my horns seemed to have curves and thickened a bit, I think I got bigger in the chest department. What am I a large C-cup now?
Besides my appearance, my mana is basically overpowered. Apparently it's almost limitless, like a running faucet that never stops running unless someone turns it off.
I had to learn to draw it all in to keep from scaring off monters with lower levels than my own. I even manage to scare off monsters with levels up to 70.
I wonder if this world is letting me cheat?
Well if that's the case, Kika would still be here with me to this day.
"I see, so I just have to kill a lot more, so how far do I got before becoming a Demon Lordress?" I asked.
He doesn't look up from his book but I didn't miss the smirk that appeared across his lips.
"About 50." He says,
I stared at him, "that's not bad." Why did he show such an expression with that low of a number?
"50,000. You need to kill that many." He says with a chuckle.
What the...."then just say that!" I yell at him.
I grumbled to myself.
"Don't be discouraged, you'll get there in no time." He teased.
This dragon, he's starting to get ahead of himself.
"Just you wait, I'll have you bow down to me sooner than you think." I tell him with an annoyed expression.
He smiles, his gaze seemed quite smoldering to me, "is that so. I'll do something much better. The day you become the Demon Lordress, I'll happily hand over myself ." He says.
I don't know if I was blushing or not, but he's really unfair!
I'm not sure when he's taken to teasing me like this, but I mustn't let it get to me.
Let's just look like it didn't faze me at all.
I did my best to show him a blank stare.
"You said it yourself, don't go back on that later." I tell him with my best sultry voice.
Ha, how about that, you damned dragon!
At this moment Til and Hina are completely unaware of the tension in the room.
The next day with the army not far from the mountain
I decided to take a small walk once the sun rose a bit.
After yesterday's wierdness I decided I needed to cool off a bit.
I'm really am letting that guy get to me too much.
The sound of footsteps behind me made me whirl around.
"Ah, so this is where you ran off to." Islacc says.
He wore a sleepy expression and held on to two cups of steaming hot cocoa in his hands.
He held out one to me, "here, I figured a cup of hot cocoa would warm you up." he says.
I happily retrieved
