this was no wolf hunter, it was those Mahchaks, they are on our trail, Princessa." "WHAT!?" I screamed. "Yes, princessa." Logan said quickly. "We're going to have to move soon, anyways." The chieftan said glumly.
Emma

"Hey! Hey!" I called to Emma who decided to ignore me and move on, but I followed her. "What do you want?!" Snapped Emma. "I wanted to say, that I'm glad to be here with you." I said. Emma looked surprised at this. "Why?" She asked curiously. "I just never had a pack as nice as this one before and friends that are this good, like a friend I bet you are." I said. "Well, I guess I can admit that we aren't so so friendly to each other, have we?" Said Emma. "No. I guess not." I said to Emma. "But we could try to be friends." I quickly said. "Yes. I guess we could." Said Emma, not looking me in the eye. "What the heck happened to you?!" Emma said to Logan. "Bullet." I mumbled. "Don't bother him that much anymore, let him rest." Akira said, walking up to us. "Yes Akira, we were just about to go hunting." Emma quickly said shooting a glance that said: Just go with it.

I circled the caribou and went for the neck as Emma leaped on it's back and we killed it. We dragged it back and we found the chief had called a pack meeting. We dropped off the caribou as fast as we could and then ran back and sat as the chieftan was just about to speak. We sat next to each other, a small smile on our faces.
"As we all know, winter is coming and the prey is running scarce," The chieftan started, "And we are being followed by hunters now. I am putting this in motion as we will now be moving in three sunsets," The chieftan continued, "And anyone who refuses to move will be killed because where we are going, there is no place for fools in the plains." The chieftan finished. He gave a few of us a stern look and then a series of yips and bark of understanding came out.
I went back to my den and then sunrise came, and now only two days and when I walked out of my den, I saw everyone slicing meat to be carried for the journey and past. I yawned, stretched then decided to go hunt for some hare. I caught about three then trotted back to the pack as sunset was beginning. I put it in the pile for the wolves to rip up and went over to visit Roy in his den. Roy is one of the younger warriors in the pack, and I like him, he's nice. I ran into chief by accident. "Oh! I am so sorry!" I apologized. "Oh, no it was me who should be apologizing." The chief said calmly. I took that as a compliment or a just okay moment from the chief. The last day....

I though to myself after visting Roy and going back to my den. Is tomorrow.

I shrugged to myself and then fell asleep then woke up and smelt the excitement of everyone else. We were all excited, so I couldn't blame them. The chief had decided to move now, so we all gathered some meat and started to walk to where we smelled where the caribou had gone, I was walking beside Emma and Roy, Logan near the front. We arrived in about two sunrises and we had depleted almost half the meat, which was good because we needed that to tart us of. Roy had wandered off, as usual. I made a beeline to check out the caves and then I heard Roy's mother. "Where is my sweet little Roy?!" Kala yipped.

Plain Dead

The water's less here, i'm both afraid for Logan and the pack. "Everyone, where is Roy???" The chieftain asked. "I dunno," said Tony sleepily. The chief sent out a group including May,Theodore,Rose,Logan (who said he wanted to not even chosen by the chief),Iyana,Kaylee, and me. I sniffed the air for a scent and caught one. "I'm picking up a scent,it's Roy's scent I think." I said nervously. "The scent smells dead, though." I added quickly. Sure enough the other's agreed the scent was Roy's and indeed it certainly smelled dead. I ran to where the scent was coming from most and saw him, lying there, dead as a pile of bones if you saw him.
"No!!!!" I howled, the expression on my face pure horrifying. I ran over to the lifeless body and layed down next to it and layed my head over his neck. Tears began to fall onto my muzzle. I stood up, howled his spirit to where it was for it's final rest and then I began to dig a grave and when the others came, they helped me. We layed his body in the grave and then all howled in turn, our sorrow and grief for him then we covered it up and said our final good-byes then turned and walked back to the pack grounds.
The whole pack howled that night, as the pack messenger and best howler of all stepped forward to howl the last song Roy would hear. Kala was crying, snapping at anyone who tried to tell her it was okay. I looked up at the stars and my mouth formed the words of the song that was about to be howled but I was done with the song before the messenger did:
"Howl for the lost,
Howl for the wind and stars and moon as they go rushing by,
Howl for those you lost tonight,
Howl for everyone as the tough times come and go,
Tonight, we lost Roy,
But he will be remembered for who he was and who had loved him,
Roy, your spirit is free!!!"
The song ended, everyone went back into their den and began to sleep, tears cried out, faces set straight, and all praying Roy had heard us. All the pack was asleep except for me. I stood there, seeing a small mist climbing the stars, and it looked like Roy. It looked at me, and I looked at it for a few seconds, then it jumped and dissipated. I lay down, curling up wondering and thinking. How are we going to survive? This place just isn't our place for some of us...

I thought. Kala was crying in her sleep, I could hear her. I sat down and listened, look around while I was thinking. Many thoughts crossed my mind, but many were concerned thoughts and fearful thoughts and I shook my head, hten looked back up at the stars. My time and Logan's in the pack had been about four seasons since we had been chained down, being starved in the winter, and now I was at home

. The word home both comfortable and familiar to me comforted me. I am not yet home completely, I say this is it but my body seems to disagree with me...
