Even then, I just could not take back what I just said.
βYes, but today, for one last time, there will be a fight. And nothing can stop me. So, move.β Just when I finished my words, declaring the fact that no one could change my decision now, I took out my swords which I was always carrying along with me, now a days.
βListen to him, Summer. Kaith is right. Do not do this again. I still can not forget what happened last time when you and Kazan were standing against each other. And I just can not let the very thing repeat once again, and also when I am here to stop both of you from fighting. I will make sure to keep you harmless every time in my presence. So, I am begging you, Summer. This fight will only cause you harm, and that too when...when you are...β I just could not afford to let Markus finish his words as I was clearly aware of what he was going to say.
But...but how the hell he knows about me?
Who told him? Even when I clearly said not to tell anyone about my little secret.
Then how?
βWho told you such gibberish, Markus? Do not even try to make things up.β I screamed as I was indeed afraid to face anyone if the truth comes out in such a situation when Kazan was present here as well.
And the pathetic thing was that, I could not even confront Markus about how did he manage to know about my pregnancy. But it seemed that I did not even have to try, as he answered himself without bothering to wait for me to question him afterwards.
βI am not saying any gibberish, Summer. And you know that very well, so does Kaith. Tell me if I am wrong.β Markus retorted back in an instant, while all of us failed to see that Kazan was becoming more and more impatient to know what exactly we were talking about right at this instant, even when he just could not afford to ask about it, himself. He just kept listening without bothering to say a single word, at least until now.
βKaith? Did you...?β I could not even finish my words, when Kaith answered me in no time, without even listening to all my words. He might have guessed, that I wanted to know if he was the one who told Markus about my such condition.
βNo. I did not.β Kaith replied, throwing both of his hands up in the air, showing that he had nothing to do with the fact that Markus got to know about the yet unborn pup.
Then, who could it be?
And how?
I was still trying to guess, just when I heard Markus once again,
βI was there last night, Summer. Though none of you knew that I was present there at that moment but I heard each and every word you guys talked last night, very clearly. Last night when he took you in there, I just could not stay back and wait as I was worried about you like a hell. And when I finally went inside the hospital after shifting back, I was about to enter the cabin where you were taken, your words did not fail to fall on my ears, Summer. I heard everything last night from outside the door. It was just that I just could not gather enough courage to face you back then. But that does not mean I will let you do anything you want, when I can clearly see that it will do nothing well but make both of you suffer from possible losses. Which I just can not allow ever. And, please do not tell me again that I am saying some gibberish. Cause I am not.β I was startled for sure, hearing whatever Markus just said, and I had no reasons left not to be afraid anymore. The only thing which kept crossing in my mind for a million times all of a sudden right here right now was that, if Markus knows then Kazan will know too, now or later. And I did not want that to happen at all.
Little spots sweats were already started to build up on my forehead without much of my consent. A sudden cold wind passed by me or was it just me who felt the chill down the spine right at the moment. I could not think properly what should I say, for now, to cover up the current situation which was already at a verge to get me all exposed.
βWhat the hell are you all talking about? What happened to her?β A horrifying voice spoke up suddenly from behind Markus, and that was what I was afraid about the most. Kazan who was standing ever so quietly till now, shoved them aside, only to come to stand in front of me, with a lot of questions written deep within his eyes. And I had no intention to clarify him this time.
βNothing.β I did not wait to reply in an instant, depriving others of answering his questions instead of me, which would be definitely no good to me.
After staring at him sternly for a while, I threw one of my swords for him to catch, which he did without any effort.
βMarkus! Do not make me repeat. I asked you what happened to her?β Kazan asked again, without bothering to move his gaze away from me. As if he was not at all letting anyone go without getting the answer
