happy and he slinks back down where he belongs. Our mark is on her and every shifter and male who crosses her path will know she belongs to Roman Dixon. They’ll know she’s off-limits.

Her mouth is open as she pants for breath. My tattooed forearm is pressed into her big tits. My cock is still lodged deep inside of her.

I could stay like this forever.

“Are you okay?” I whisper when she turns to look at me over her shoulder.

“Yes,” she says in a breathless tone. “I’ve never been better.”

I grab her chin and hold her mouth in place as I kiss her hard.

She’s mine. She’s finally all mine.

When I pull away, she drops back down to her hands and knees. I take her hard and fast, thrusting in and out of her as she starts to cum again.

Her pussy feels incredible and I start to feel my own orgasm come raging forward. My hands are gripping her ass cheeks, spreading them apart as I take her.

When it comes, it comes hard.

We both erupt at the same time, screaming out as we cum all over each other.

She moans and whines as I fill her pussy with my hot cum. If she wasn’t pregnant before, she is now. My balls were achingly full and I emptied them all into her.

She collapses onto the bed and I fall down beside her. We can barely open our eyes, but I can see one thing through my closing eye slits as I rest my head—the mark on her neck.

My mark.

My bear’s mark.

Proof that she’ll always be ours.

I wrap my arm around her and hold her close as I doze off, happier than I’ve ever been in my life.

Chapter Nine

Bailey

I can’t believe it. Roman and Enzo are actually getting along. We’re sitting outside on the terrace of a family restaurant. I thought some neutral ground would be a wise place for them to meet.

So far, so good. The appetizers are here and they haven’t killed each other yet!

After some initial tension, I got them talking when I mentioned they were both fans of the Seattle Mariners.

Now, they keep praising and complaining about baseball players that I’ve never heard of and I’m completely left out of the conversation. It’s okay. I don’t mind. I’m just happy to sit back with my margarita and listen to the two men in my life finally getting along.

Once the meal comes, we thankfully get off baseball and start talking about other more interesting subjects, like me.

“So, how did you two meet?” Enzo asks as he chomps down on an onion ring.

Roman tells the story of how it felt like he was struck by lightning when he saw me in the general store. I start to blush as he explains how intense it was.

“You’re lucky,” Enzo says with a tinge of sadness in his voice. “Finding your mate and discovering that she’s a wonderful girl like Bailey.”

“I agree,” Roman says with a smile.

“Stop,” I say with a shy laugh as they look at me.

Enzo dips his head as he fixes his napkin in his lap.

“She’ll come,” I tell him. “It’s destiny.”

“Yeah,” he says with a sigh. “I’ve been waiting long enough. Where is she?”

“She’s out there,” Roman tells him. “And when you find her, it will be worth the wait. Trust me.”

“I hope she comes soon,” Enzo whispers. I know how hard it’s been for him. He’s been waiting for his mate and talking about her since he was fifteen years old. Twelve years later and still no sign of her.

“I know it can be hard,” Roman says with a sympathetic look. “It can be devastating to go to bed alone knowing your mate is out there without you. But you have to stay positive. You can’t succumb to despair because if you do, you won’t be the mate she deserves when she finally shows up.”

Enzo looks at him for a long moment and then nods. “I was wrong about you, Roman. And I’ve never seen my sister so happy.”

He smiles at me and I’m so filled with relief I could start singing.

“You guys don’t need my blessing,” he goes on. “But you have it. I’m glad you’re part of the family now.”

“Even though I beat your ass?” Roman asks with a grin.

Enzo lets out a deep belly laugh. “Yeah, right. I seem to recall your head bouncing off the pavement after one of my famous right hooks.”

“You’re probably suffering from brain damage from one of my uppercuts and it’s affecting your memory,” Roman answers with a grin. “Common problem.”

I jump in before they duke it out between the tables of families. “Yes, you’re both very strong manly masculine men. Can we stop with the fighting please?”

They both look at me, then look at each other and start laughing. I can’t help but join in.

“Does this mean you’re going to be friends?” I ask, full of hope. There’s nothing I want more.

Enzo sticks out his hand. “Start fresh?”

A smile bursts across my face when Roman shakes it. “Start fresh.”

I don’t know how I would have handled having my brother and my man fighting. I’m glad I don’t have to find out.

“What about the rest of the guys?” I ask. “The Dixon brothers and the firefighters. Do you think they’ll be friends too?”

Roman and Enzo look at each other and then burst out laughing.

I guess I can’t have it all.

I climb onto Roman as he’s lying in bed for the night and kiss his lips. “Thank you,” I whisper.

“For what?”

“For trying. With my brother.”

“He’s a part of you, which means he’s a part of me too now.”

“Still. It means a lot.”

We’ve been together for ten days and they’ve been the best ten days of my life by far. I got my things and already moved in. There was no point in fighting it or dragging it out. It was inevitable and we didn’t want to waste any more time apart.

I love it here with Mary, the guys, the animals,
