Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Waking up to her missing fucked with my head and pissed me off. I didn’t want to think of what could have happened to her. We’ve yet to find who shot Chance. He’s still recuperating from the gunshot wound and didn’t see who shot him.
I finish up with what Dean asked me to do when it came to his business deal with Gregory. A Russian leader who he’s working with on getting a certain product brought in. Hell, the shit they’ve got going on is making a mint, and they split it straight down the middle between the two of them.
Instead of going straight home to Ryland, I head to Sinner’s Cove. I need a drink and time to finish cooling off.
I sit in a booth by myself off to the side, not wanting to be bothered by anyone. Marc sat in the seat across from me.
“Enya’s still at the bookstore, according to Ian. Store’s closed and lights are on upstairs,” he informs me.
Fuckin’ great. She intends to stay there the night. I don’t fuckin’ think so. Can’t fix shit if we’re not together.
I went off on her and said some messed up shit, but fuck, I’d been pissed something could have happened to her. To make matters worse, I spoke with my seanathair and informed him that Kean is no longer breathing. I also told him about Enya. The fact she’s Doran O’Farrell’s daughter and he doesn’t know about her. He suggested that I inform O’Farrell right away, that he needs to know of this because he’d thought the child died.
Everything seems to be getting far more complex than it should. I asked my seanathair if he’d handle it for me as I’ve already got my hands full with making sure nothing happens to her. He agreed and that was the end of the discussion. At least it was until my seanathair called to inform me yesterday to expect company in two days. Not only was he coming to visit, but so was Enya’s father.
I need to tell her about this and intended to tell her this morning about it all.
Nodding to Marc, I wave to the waitress signaling for her to bring me another drink.
“You think it’s a good idea to get fucked up tonight?” Marc asks.
“Not getting fucked up, you know I have a high tolerance for this alcohol. I need to wind down, come up with a game plan, and then I’ll go deal with it all,” I mutter, taking the tumbler from the waitress as she steps close to the table. “Thank you,” I mutter.
The front doors to the club open, catching my attention. Sinner’s Cove starts getting busy around this time, and I’m not surprised to see it starting to fill. What catches my attention, though, is finding Enya coming my way dressed in a sexy as fuck skirt and a tight-fitted shirt that scoops down to give an ample amount of view to her tits. I eye the boots covering her feet and up past her knees. It takes everything in me not to stand from my seat and move to her.
What is she doing here?
Marc just said Ian reported she was still at the bookstore.
Unless she decided to come here to talk to me.
Fuck.
Enya approaches the table and looks at me sweetly like she always does. “Can I talk to you?” she asks.
I nod and stand from the booth. I down the rest of my drink, intending to take her home after we talk outside.
I guide her out of the club and to the side somewhat to find out what’s going on. Enya looks up, seeming shy and biting her lip nervously.
Enya steps into me and reaches up on her toes while wrapping her arms around my neck. I’ve never known her to be this bold. She captures my lips with hers and thrust her tongue into my mouth.
Immediately, I stiffen and shove her away, realizing this isn’t Enya. It’s Ensley.
“What the fuck are you doing?” I growl.
“Oh, come on, Kenyon, you know you want me. I felt that hard cock of yours,” she says, purring like she’s some cat in heat.
“Bitch, I don’t want fuck all from that cunt of yours. You’re nothing more than a bréagán,” I sneer, taking a step back from her.
“What’s so different between Enya and me? We look just alike. Our bodies would feel all the same. Only I know how to fuck a man right while she doesn’t.” I grip Ensley’s wrists tight in one hand to keep her from touching me when she reaches out to run her hands up my chest.
“The difference is I’m with Enya and fuckin’ love her. You are nothing but a look-alike of the real thing. Stay away from Enya and me. Next time you come near either of us, I’ll make you wish you didn’t.” Releasing her wrists, I give her a slight shove to get her away from me.
Storming off back into the club, I run into Marc and Beau, a grim expression on both their faces.
“Guess you know that wasn’t Enya who you went out there with,” Marc remarks.
“Fuckin’ Ensley thought she’d try to make a play,” I growl, furious and wanting nothing more than to get the taste of the bréagán out of my mouth.
“Whatever her play was, it worked,” Beau mutters.
“What the hell do you mean?” I demand.
“Enya, she saw it. I was in the security room and saw her get out of an Uber. She said something to the Uber driver and started through the parking lot. Enya saw you kissing a woman, didn’t see her sister’s face. She turned and ran right back to the car and left,” Beau states.
Fuck. Fuck. Motherfuckin’ fuck.
I’m going to kill Ensley for this shit.
“I want Ensley found. I need to go after Enya.” I turn from them and storm back out of Sinner’s Cove, knowing that Ensley is already long gone
