His back is to me now, so all I see is his frame. Heโ€™s standing with another guy whoโ€™s smaller, but still built well. Heโ€™s wearing a tropical shirt and cargo shorts and heโ€™s covered in sweat. I can see his back muscles through his shirt, and I find myself lowering my shades to get a good look. The sweat clings to his shirt and seems to define every ridge and nook down his back. My eyes fix on his ass, and I canโ€™t help it, I gulp.

Despite myself, I bite my lower lip. Damn, he has buns that are begging for a little love bite. โ€œYouโ€™re right. Heโ€™s a studmuffin, at least from what I see.โ€

โ€œWhat did I tell you?โ€ Cassie whispers. โ€œHis friendโ€™s pretty cute too.โ€

โ€œI canโ€™t see his face but his backside is a sight,โ€ I agree. โ€œBut Iโ€™m on a mission, and heโ€™s not it.โ€

The hostess leads us to our table on an outer patio overlooking the ocean. As we sit down, I catch another glance of Studmuffin as he walks with his friend toward their bungalow. But the angle is bad again, so I can only see his back.

We go about our light lunch, my eyes still amazed at the sight of the ocean pounding the beach in front of us.

After weโ€™re done, we head back into the lobby to retrieve our luggage, check in, and then make our way up to our room.

โ€œYou know, Cassie, you might be right,โ€ I say as we get off the elevator. โ€œIโ€™m sorry, I donโ€™t mean to be such a downer. If I lighten up a little, this trip might end up being amazing after all.โ€

Cassie grins, slapping me on my ass. โ€œThatโ€™s the spirit!โ€

I smile at her as we walk down the hall and make it to our room. But my smile quickly fades when I swing the door open and step inside. The room is nice enough, the flooring made of red Spanish tile with white walls and a vaulted ceiling covered in a woven bamboo, adding a touch of natural coolness.

I like everything about it except for one problem.

โ€œThereโ€™s just one Queen bed. There must be some mistake . . .โ€ I mutter, shaking my head.

โ€œOh, itโ€™s not that bad,โ€ Cassie says, walking around and exploring the room before doing a little twirl. โ€œHavenโ€™t you ever had a sleepover before?โ€

I roll my eyes, heading over to the roomโ€™s phone. โ€œQuiet, Cassie,โ€ I growl as I dial the operator.

โ€œYes?โ€ answers a womanโ€™s voice.

I quickly tell her our problem. โ€œIs this some sort of a mix-up? Our room only has one Queen bed, and we donโ€™t even have a sofa!โ€

โ€œOne moment,โ€ the woman says softly after asking for our room number, and I hear typing in the background. โ€œIโ€™m very sorry, Miss Fowler, but it appears thatโ€™s correct. You were booked a standard room. But if you would like to upgrade . . .โ€

โ€œNever mind,โ€ I say. โ€œThank you for your help.โ€

I hang up, grab my cell, and dial Myra, who picks up on the second ring. โ€œHello?โ€

โ€œThereโ€™s one bed!โ€

โ€œExcuse me?โ€ Myra asks. โ€œHannah?โ€

I tell her about our room and how Iโ€™d be uncomfortable sharing a bed with Cassie. Meanwhile, Cassie seems unbothered, peering out the window with a sunny smile on her face.

โ€œHmmโ€ Myra says. โ€œIโ€™ll see what I can do.โ€

I sigh with relief. โ€œThank you, Myraโ€”โ€

I hear someone enter her office. I can hear talking in the background. โ€œBut you might have to make do for tonight,โ€ she says quickly. โ€œGotta go!โ€

Click. I stare at my phone, not sure if I want to scream or throw my phone into the Pacific. A whole night in a bed with Cass? I might end up killing her by morning. And thereโ€™s no way Iโ€™m sleeping on the floor.

โ€œWhat did she say?โ€ Cassie says, appearing cheerful despite my irritation, but sheโ€™s cut off as my phone rings.

โ€œWhat?โ€ I snap, but not meaning to. If itโ€™s Myra, maybe Iโ€™ll just lose my job earlier than expected.

โ€œYou turn into a crab already? Geez!โ€ Roxy complains, chuckling. โ€œIโ€™m just calling to check to see if you landed safely and this is the kind of reception I get?โ€

I take a deep breath, blowing out a lock of hair from my face. Itโ€™s hot, and I look around for the air conditioner. โ€œSorry. Iโ€™m just a little annoyed.โ€

I tell her about my room situation, and Roxy whistles at the end, laughing. โ€œWell, didnโ€™t you say you wanted to be a lesbian? Nowโ€™s your chance!โ€

โ€œDo you want to die sooner than you expected?โ€ I growl. Sheโ€™s supposed to be supporting me, not making things worse. โ€œBecause you are totally not helping.โ€

Roxy laughs. โ€œWhat? You said it!โ€ Sheโ€™s being ridiculous, but I canโ€™t help but smile. โ€œAre you still playing this nun shtick and pretending you're gonna be celibate for the rest of your life? I thought you would have found a man youโ€™d like to bone already. I fully expected to not get answered because youโ€™d be in full-on Fowler Power mode.โ€

I smile again at the old joke. She Roxโ€™d them, and Iโ€™ve got Fowler Power. โ€œYouโ€™re damn right. Just call me Mother Mary. I ainโ€™t giving up nothing.โ€

Roxy laughs. โ€œRemember what I told you before you left about being sexually repressed? Youโ€™re going to leave there itching for a cum shower!โ€

โ€œYou know what? I think weโ€™ve about exhausted all the possibilities of this conversation.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t go chasing waterfalls,โ€ Roxy sings with faux emotion, โ€œplease stick to the balls and dicks that youโ€™re used to . . .โ€

I canโ€™t help it, I snicker. โ€œOkay, Iโ€™m hanging up now.โ€

โ€œChill, babe, I was just playing.โ€

โ€œI would say youโ€™re going to hell, but that would be a cruel thing for your baby.โ€

โ€œNo way,โ€ Roxy protests in my ear. โ€œIโ€™m an angel, remember? Just ask my husband.โ€

โ€œYeah, yeah,โ€ I grumble, feeling a little better. I walk over to my bag, pick it up, and take it over to the bed. I pull out the outfit that I want to
