asks.

“Did you rat me out?” I ask and she grins wider.

“You’re just in time to give a man's opinion,” she says, heading back inside. I follow. Gia’s mum and the rest of the women are sitting on stools facing a large screen.

“Are you ready?” asks Gia, from behind the screen.

“Yes,” they all chorus.

She steps out and I suck in a breath. She stands before me in a tight-fitted white dress. Her tits spill out over the top and her waist is pulled in to give her curves that make my cock harden. “What do you think, Blu?” asks Anna with a smirk and Gia’s eyes find me staring at her with my mouth open.

“Get out,” I mumble. When no one responds, I glare hard at Anna. “All of you, get out and leave us alone.”

I feel one of Vinn’s security approach me and I spin to face him with my hand resting on the waistband of my jeans, gripping the handle of my gun. We lock eyes for a brief second and Gia gently takes my arm. “I’m fine, guys. I’ve got this.”

When the room is clear, I stare at Gia. I’m lost for words. “Let me change,” she says, blushing.

I shake my head. “No. Don’t.” I take a seat and hold my head in my hands. “You didn’t tell Ricardo then?”

“Kind of obvious,” she says with a small laugh. “I was going to, but something came up and I have to go through with it.”

“Don’t marry him,” I suddenly say, looking up at her. “Please.”

She scoffs and folds her arms over her chest. It pushes her tits out over the dress even more and she blushes again, dropping her hands back to her sides. “You can’t turn up here and ask me not to marry him. I haven’t heard from you. The last time we spoke, you told me your ex was pregnant with your baby.”

“IVF,” I blurt out. “I wanked into a fucking plastic tube looking at porn in a private clinic paid for by Hannah. She’s bi-sexual. She wanted another kid and it made sense that she had the same dad for both.” I shrug and rub at my brow. “Since we . . .” I pause. “I can’t get you out of my fuckin’ head. It’s driving me nuts. Now, I see you in the dress and I want it. I want you.” The words tumble out in a rush and she stares at me, eyes wide.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” she asks. “About the wanking into a tube?”

I smirk. “Why does it sound sexy when you say it?” I laugh. “It doesn’t exactly crop up in conversation. ‘Hey, my bi-sexual ex is using my sperm to have a kid.’ I didn’t see us in the cards. I wanted to help her and Alice out and it only affected me when I made the decision. I didn’t think how it would affect you or my future.”

“It doesn’t affect me,” she says. “I have to marry Ric.”

“No, you don’t,” I growl. “I could take you right now and marry you and he couldn’t do a damn thing.”

“You can’t lay claim to me like you do to women at the club. That’s your life, not mine. Vinn needs me to marry Ricardo and I’ve agreed. I can’t break that.”

I stand and pull her hard against me. “I’ll take you out of here and shoot any bastard who tries to stop me,” I warn. I try to place my lips against hers, but she turns her head to the side.

“I’m promised to Ric. Please don’t kiss me and break my beliefs about cheating.”

“Fuck,” I hiss, releasing her and stepping back. “Have you slept with him?”

Her cheeks redden again. “No. I haven’t even seen him since before I agreed. He’s in Italy sorting business.”

“Fuck it then. Marry me. Now. I bet there’s a priest in here somewhere.”

She laughs. “You can’t just walk up to a priest and demand he marries us,” she says.

“I’ll point my gun to his head,” I smirk.

“I have to do this for my family. We need to tie the family names.” Her tone is serious. She’s doing this, marrying that ass because of her brother. “He’s Italian. I can go back to my roots,” she adds, trying to make the situation lighter with a joke. I don’t bother to tell her that I’m Italian too. What’s the point now her mind is made up?

Chapter Ten

GIA

We leave the wedding fayre with nothing. Mainly because I put my foot down and wouldn’t let Mum book anything or anyone. I can get the price much cheaper through my connections and she would have planned the entire wedding today if I let her. Mum heads home and I decide to go for dinner with the girls. I need to debrief about what happened with Blu.

“Let me get this straight,” says Anna, leaning forward. Her steak is completely cold because she’s spent the whole time staring open-mouthed at me as I’ve relayed what Blu said earlier. “He’s giving his ex and her girlfriend the gift of a child?” she asks. I nod. It’s a nice thing, of course it is, but I’m jealous. It’s ridiculous that I can be jealous of his ex who is not at all in love with Blu anymore—at least I don’t think she is—when in reality, I’m only a one night stand to him.

“And we thought he had no heart,” says Leia with a hand to her chest, practically swooning.

“And then he told me to marry him. Runaway and marry him instead of Ricardo,” I add. A round of “aww” assaults my ears and my circle of girls have turned to mush.

“So why are you sitting here telling us? Shouldn’t you be on the motorway right about now heading for Gretna Green?” asks Anna.

“Firstly, I’m never getting married in Gretna Green. It’s where pregnant teenagers run off to get married in secret because they can’t afford Vegas. Secondly, I can’t marry Blu.
