“You’re not really sorry,” she says, shaking her head at me with a cute smile, stiffening my dick even more than it is.
“Not when you look eager to feel it inside of you.” I cross the distance between us, reaching out and gently cupping her face. The lust in her eyes has my cock leaking onto my boxers. I’m a lost cause, but I don’t have time to do what I want to her. “I’m right, si?” I run my hand down her hip slowly.
“You got me,” Dove stammers.
I swipe my lips against hers and pull back. “That I do. Finish getting ready. I have a text from my brother. They’ve just arrived at the gate.” I step back and pat her ass.
“Great. Your brother too?” she gasps.
“Yes. And you better not flirt with him. I’d hate to have to kill him.”
“Don’t sound so jealous.”
“I’m not.” I’m fucking territorial and insane when it comes to this little one.
“You’re not going to greet them?”
“I will when we go down there.” She goes to the mirror and begins brushing her long hair. It’s not something I ever would have considered sexy, but I can’t look away. The brush goes through her golden strands so smoothly that I want to run my fingers through it and then take her, but I have to stop myself and find my voice.
“Okay, you look beautiful. Let’s go.”
“Am I supposed to go down barefoot?” Fuck me. Every word out of her mouth reminds me of sex.
“Grab a pair of sandals.” She goes into the closet and comes out a minute later wearing a pair of cute sandals.
I miss my mother, but I still hadn’t expected her to come over so soon. It set me on edge because not only do I want more time alone with Dove, but if my mother knew the truth about our marriage, she would be devastated and so disappointed in me. I already have one woman looking at me like I’m an absolute bastard; I don’t need another one, especially after I promised never to be like my father.
I take Dove’s hand and lead her downstairs, noticing her fingers are bare. Fuck, I’m screwing this husband thing up every step of the way.
My mother and brother are standing near the steps waiting impatiently for us. Their eyes widen as they get their first glimpse of my wife. “I know I told you to find a wife, but I never expected you to come back with one so quickly, and one so pretty.”
Dove blushes beside me. “Mama, my wife, Dove. Dove, my mother, Julia Serrano.”
“Mrs. Serrano, it’s a pleasure.” My mother wraps her arms around Dove and hugs her.
“Am I invisible here?” Hector complains, getting our attention. Dove steps back from my mother and turns her smile on my brother.
“Hello,” Dove says, and I’m fucking jealous instantly.
“I’m his little brother, Hector. Mi mama is correct. You are a gem.” He wisely doesn’t touch my wife but then turns to me and adds, “May I have a word with you, Victor?”
“Will you two ladies excuse us for a moment?” I need to know more about what my mother knows, and I’m sure Hector’s ready to grill me. I want this over so I can have Dove all alone and make her cream until she doesn’t want to ever leave me.
“Behave, you two. I will keep your wife entertained.”
I lean into Dove and whisper in her ear, “Behave, mi amor.” Then I kiss her cheek.
We’re barely in my office when he says, “You are an idiot.”
“Watch it,” I growl. If he insults my wife, I’ll break his neck.
“Hey, I’m telling you this as a brother who loves you. She’s gorgeous and young, but you just made yourself our father.”
“I can’t let her go.”
“Why? Are you worried about what people think?”
“No, because I fucking need her. I knew it the second I saw her. I didn’t buy her because I was so hard up for pussy. It’s her that I want, and I sure as fuck wasn’t going to let someone else there soil her. I almost walked away and then someone put his hands on her, wanting my woman.” I stop in my tracks and then screw up my eyebrow. “Wait. How do you know about it?”
“How I know is that as the treasurer, I saw my brother remove that much money and you come back with a wife. It doesn’t take much talk to hear you didn’t make a deal with Avanti for anything other than that woman,” he confesses.
“Who told you?” I want to know how this got out. The thought of people thinking ill of Dove pisses me off. I don’t give a fuck what strangers think of me or my motives.
“Mama told me.”
My face pales. “Mama?”
“Yes. She overheard some conversation while out shopping about your request for a full feminine wardrobe and everything in the house. She knows you met with guys like us, like Father. She put it together herself.”
“She thinks so little of me.” I sigh, falling back on my leather sofa, laying my head over the arm.
“No, she hopes not, but we know you’re not like Father. Still, how does this girl feel about this?”
“My wife’s not in love with me if that’s what you mean, but she doesn’t resist my touch. She loves it.”
“So she’s attracted to you. That’s good.”
“But she’ll never love me.” Wow, I sound fucking weak as hell. What happened to me?
“Whoa. You’re already in love with her, aren’t you?”
“Of course I am. There’s no other reason I’d do what I did.”
“Then show her. Maybe she’ll come to love you. It’s only been a day. Fuck, has it even been a day?”
“No. It hasn’t. I moved mountains to make her mine, and now I’ve trapped her just like our mother was.”
“Just prove you’re not our father.”
“Wait. Mom knows.” Fear drains all the color from my face. Will she help Dove leave me?
We storm out of the room and go
