deeply while Sandra just kept catching up ahead of the course content for today, the next lesson was finding the vertical asymptote.

In another classroom, Aiden was sitting at the far back corner of the classroom within his Advanced Calculus class. Mr. Smith proceeded on teaching ODE’s (Ordinary Differential Equations), as Aiden focused on the lesson for it, since it was completely new content for him. He was wearing a lot of layers in case his invisibility would go off and on suddenly. He knew deep down that he could not skip this crucial class, he needed to succeed in it to be able to get to University. He knew grade 12 academic math required A grades in it, for admission requirements. He steadily raised his mechanical 0.7 mm lead pencil as Mr. Smith started writing out the introductory equations of differential equations for the class.

Suddenly, his invisibility started, he went entirely transparent, but something was not right. Even the outer layering of his clothes turned invisible, he was anxious and mad that it happened. He took off his coat, put it on his lap while spreading the shoulders of the coat onto the desk, making it look as if he was wearing his hood in class and still writing on his piece of paper. Again, out of nowhere, his invisibility went off again, he was so lucky that it lasted only for a few seconds, while no one witnessed it, since he sat at the extremely far corner. He even purposefully shifted his desk back a bit, so in the point of view of the students and teacher, they would not really notice him from that far distance in the classroom, especially in a class of almost 40 students.

Aiden continued writing notes in class, he breathed out the words in a low toned voice. “That was a serious close call.” He was scared stiff, sweating nervously worrying that someone would find out he was a Stellar-Being or assumed to be a Superior-Being existing in a typical secondary school, literally in an Advanced Calculus type of class.

The first two classes were now over. Lunch break began. The five reunited in the far corner of the cafeteria, to discuss their morning at school. They sit silent next to each other, trying to avoid Sandra, the Trinity Guys, and their other friends from joining them on the same table, or else they would potentially find out about their powers or abilities.

Finally, one of them spoke interrupting the silence; “I can’t take this anymore,” Veronica said. “Its so hard to hide my abilities in school.”

“My head is killing me,” Allison complained. “Its so hard for me to focus on math and other classes too, since this imagination stuff is killing me, I have to think about 3 to 5 thoughts at the same time just to mitigate Veronica’s and my problems, while focusing in class.”

“Yeah,” Luis spoke aloud. “I’ve been taking half of the class pencils and pens; I feel so bad, but I didn’t intend to do this. There’s gotta be raised suspicion very soon on why the heck an 11th grader has a garbage bag attached to his waist and backpack. I’m not cut out for this.”

“My hair is becoming more and more visible,” Trixie intervened. “I’m afraid the wig isn’t gonna work since my pastel colors are developing more and more. What are we supposed to do?”

“Alright, alright,” Aiden spoke firmly. “Calm down guys. We will think of something. Your idea did not work Trix, unfortunately, my clothes still become invisible along with myself. Extra layers did not help. I don’t know what to do guys.”

“There has to be a way around this,” Luis said. “We can’t just keep living our lives in secret and its so hard for us to focus on class. You heard all of us Aiden. I don’t think any of us can come to class for the rest of the day, its bugging us, we need to figure this mess out.”

Aiden sighed heavily, he looked down at his hands on the cafeteria table, as he rested them there, thinking hard about what to do. He packed his stuff without a word and left the cafeteria, heading towards the school’s main entrance. The four followed him, they were wondering what his plan was for the rest of the school day.

“Where are you going man?” Luis asked.

“Skipping for the day, I can’t take it anymore. I need to find ways to resist my abilities as best as possible, to be able to attend school the next day. I don’t know about you four, but I am calling it a day,” Aiden spoke wearily as he was heading out of the school.

“I’m coming with you, I need a break from school anyways,” Trixie stated.

“Me too.” Veronica spoke.

“Me three,” Allison said.

“Well, what the heck, let’s get out of here until we figure out something,” Luis spoke eerily.

The five headed out of school, as the clock was about to strike class time, meaning lunch break was over any minute. Suddenly, a teacher saw them leaving the school as they were heading off school property. The teacher called out at them.

“Hey kids, where are you going?”

The five started to fast walk out of the situation and tried not to be called on again, but they knew deep down that the school would certainly call their parents in regards of them skipping. This made Aiden’s wording even more true, that they had to attend school the next day due to high suspicion going on.

Chapter 11

Confliction

Date: September 11th, 2020

“What do you mean our kids skipped class?” Mr. Hartburn spoke in the main principal’s office alongside his wife.

Sitting in the Principal’s office of Allentown’s secondary school was Principal Elroy Bolan, across him were Valerie and Frederick Hartburn, Trixie and Veronica’s parents. Frederick was tall, had short ginger hair, while his
