off the bed, Pen grabbed her phone off the bed. “I’ll see you up there.”

I couldn’t decide what to wear and since I hadn’t unpacked, and all of my clothes were wrinkled. I knew I should have taken them up on their offer to unpack for me. Luckily, one of my colorful skirts had ruffles on it, which I paired with a cute white button-down shirt over the red bikini set Pen bought for me. I hadn’t packed any sexy lingerie for our trip because I didn’t think I’d want to jump anyone’s bones. Too bad shoes weren’t allowed onboard because I would have worn a pair of sexy high heels.

Normally I wasn’t late in my real life, but somehow, I was the late girl on this trip, and I hated it. All the girls were waiting with drinks in hand when I got upstairs.

“Nice of you to join us,” Reagan sneered the second her eyes landed on me.

“I think I did pretty well for only having twenty minutes to get ready. Some of us don’t have rooms all to ourselves.” It took everything in me not to flip her off.

I’d barely sat down when Ophelia came floating into the room with a crazy smile on her face. “Would you like anything to drink?”

I didn’t want a repeat of our first night, so I decided wine would be best for the night. That way, I could control how intoxicated I got.

“Do you have Moscato?” I asked hopefully.

“Of course, it was on your preference sheet.” She gave me a fake smile before she walked off.

The crew guys helped serve our dinner, and every time Remy even looked my way, Ophelia was rushing him away or glaring at him. If she was trying to make dinner awkward, she succeeded. The chef outdid himself, making the best food I’d ever had in my life. The Langoustine marinated in mango and passion fruit was my favorite dinner of the charter, and the chocolate soufflé was to die for. If I had the money, I’d probably want to hire the chef like Zelda did so I could eat like that every day. I was sure my waistline wouldn’t be happy with me either.

I swore we all waddled away from the table and moved up to the sky lounge to let our food digest.

“Jolene dear,” Zelda called her over, “do you think you could set up a movie in here for us to watch and maybe make us some truffle popcorn?”

Dear God, how could she think of eating another bite? And did she really need some type of truffle on or in all her food?

“I’ll see what we can do. You may have to switch to a different room, but I’m not sure.” Jolene bowed her head and wrung her hands. “What would you like to watch?”

“I’m not sure yet, but we’ll figure one out.” Zelda smiled big and fake, making her face look like it was about to split in two. Seriously, stop with the plastic surgery and implants.

“Okay,” she answered shakily. “Let me go speak with Ophelia. This is more her realm than mine.”

Jolene scurried out of the room. We could hear her feet pounding on the stairs as she went downstairs. The moment we couldn’t hear her any longer, Zelda hopped up and came toward me.

“Now’s your chance to go. We’ll keep the girls occupied.”

“What’s going on?” I looked to Pen and back to Zelda and back again in confusion.

“We’re distracting the crew members while you go spend some time with Remy. Now go before someone comes back,” Zelda pushed me by the shoulders.

“I don’t know if this will work. Won’t they wonder where I am?” There was always at least one crew member around us at all times unless we were in our rooms.

“We’ll say you have a headache and want to be left alone. It will be perfect.” She clapped her hands. Her face glowed with excitement, or maybe it was all she’d had to drink during dinner. Either way, Zelda seemed proud of her plan.

“Thank you.” I kissed her on her cheek.

Next was Pen with a hug. “I’ll see you later.”

Leaving through the sliding door, I had no idea where I was supposed to find Remy. Since most of the places we’d been were in the back of the boat, I headed to the front. Something told me I’d find him there, and I wasn’t wrong.

Remy was shirtless in a pair of shorts that hung ridiculously low on his hips while he looked to be shining the railing. The way his muscles rippled with each movement had me hypnotized. My hands itched to get acquainted with each and every one of them.

He cleared his throat, breaking me out of my lustful thoughts and reminded me of what Ophelia had mentioned earlier. “Are you going to stand there and stare all night?”

I crossed my arms over my chest in anticipation of what he might say. “Perhaps. It depends on what your answer is when I ask you a very important question.”

He stopped what he was doing and stood facing me. “Okay, what do you want to ask me?”

I was surprised my voice was steady as I asked. “Did you spend last night with Ophelia?”

Stepping closer, he stopped with only a foot between us. “Not even close. If you’d like, you can ask the guys and the chef since he’s my roommate.”

“There’s no need. I believe you. I couldn’t in good conscience spend any more time with you if you were with her.” I had to ask even though I didn’t want the answer. “Have you slept with her?”

His eyes closed, and his face fell. I had my answer, but I wanted to hear it from his mouth.

“I have, but it wasn’t recent. It was on the first boat I worked on. I knew immediately it was a mistake and one I didn’t plan to repeat. O can’t seem to get the message no matter how many times I’ve told her it’s
