His mouth found hers again.
She poured all her hopes and dreams into their kiss, all her love. She would never get enough of Wicke as he lived within her very soul, always had—ever since he had saved her from Jim Parsons when she was nine years old. She understood that now.
“Rebecca,” he breathed against her mouth. “There is something you must know.”
“Must you tell me now?”
He chuckled and lifted his eyes to hers. “I’ve never lain with a woman before.”
Rebecca blinked up at him, not quite grasping what Wolfstan was telling her. “Never lain with a woman? As in lain together in a bed?”
“I have never been intimate with a woman,” he clarified.
Oh! “Well, that is interesting indeed.” She grinned at him. “I have never lain with a woman before either.”
He barked out laughter. She joined him.
“Christ, your laugh, the echo of jewels to me.” He cupped her face.
“Kiss me again.”
“I want to do more than kiss you, Rebecca. I want you with a flaming desire I’m not sure I can stop.”
“Then do not stop.”
He dropped his head to her shoulder. “We cannot get to my chamber without being seen.”
“Then let’s stay here.”
She felt the heat of his gaze right to the tips of her toes. “That would be reckless.”
“I quite like reckless, if you have not noticed.”
“I’ve noticed.” He grinned then, a lopsided grin that formed as the corner of his mouth lifted. The devil danced in his eyes. “And I find it impossible to deny you.”
“It will make my life so much simpler.”
He chuckled. “Rebecca, you do know that I will never let you go. You are mine.”
“I should not mind being yours, Wolfstan, on the condition that you are mine as well.”
“I’m yours,” he growled, brushing his lips against hers. “Only yours.”
She smiled teasingly. “You have never been with another woman. I have never been with a man. We are two perfect peas in a pod.”
He pulled her up against his chest, eyes once more lit with fire. Her hands traveled from his forearms to his shoulders and he gathered her in his arms. He picked her up and strode to the sofa, and Rebecca laughed.
“You are so beautiful,” he growled and tugged at the sleeves of her dress. Once committed to a task, Wolfstan did not waste any time.
Rebecca gasped as his mouth closed over her breast. His tongue flicked over the stiff peaks of her nipple and her core clenched tight. With the tip of his tongue, he leisurely teased the peaks of her breasts. They were taut. Aching. She arched against him. A sweet madness seized her and she circled her legs around his back, drawing him closer as she dug her fingers into his shoulder.
“Dear Lord.”
He pushed her skirts aside so that his hand could skim up the line of her stockings. His touch feathered over her most secret place. She groaned when he sank one finger inside her.
“Wolfstan.” She didn’t know what she wanted but she needed something. Right that moment. She shoved her fingers into his hair.
“I know, love.” He kicked off his boots and fumbled with his breeches as Rebecca worked to rid him of his jacket and shirt. She wanted to feel his bare chest, as she had wanted since she saw him without his shirt at Westbridge Park.
Then he was there, his erection hot against her entrance. Their eyes locked, and Rebecca saw nothing but love in their depth. And passion, glorious unadulterated passion.
“So soft,” he growled against her skin. Fever spread through her body as he pushed his hips forward, entering her slowly. “So beautiful. This might hurt.”
Rebecca wanted to say he could never hurt her, but a sharp, invading pain pierced her as he broke through her barrier. She clamped her mouth shut and focused on her breathing. Inhale. Exhale. The sting did not last long and all too soon the conquering sensation of fullness ruled all else.
He groaned against her neck. “Are you alright?”
“Yes, it’s not that painful,” she murmured, wiggling. “It is the most peculiar feeling.”
“Peculiar?” He groaned. “Not what a man wants to hear when he is inside the woman he loves.”
Rebecca chuckled. “How about intoxicating?” She wiggled again, drawing another groan from Wolfstan’s lips. “It’s certainly that.”
“Yes,” he breathed.
“Does it hurt for you?”
“Christ, no.” He gave a shallow thrust. “You feel warm, impossibly tight. Meant for me.”
Heavens, that felt good.
He began to move then, gentle and slow at first, each surge of his hips stretching and filling her more than the last. Rebecca was lost in the sensation of Wolfstan claiming her.
Never could she have imagined she could find such pleasure with a man, with him. It seemed both a miracle and magic wrapped up in one fateful bow, and she surrendered to every touch of the man she loved.
Passion clouded her vision as he grew more frantic in his thrusts, whispering words of love in Rebecca’s ear. She barely heard him, lost in her own paradise. Tiny tremors feathered over the nerves of her skin and tightening at her core. She could scarcely breathe through the dizzy wave of ecstasy that swept her as stars exploded in her vision.
Everything, even Knightley’s, faded from her world. There was nothing but Wolfstan.
The true man of her dreams.
And she would cherish him forever.
WOLFSTAN WAS NEVER letting her go.
He could not get enough of her. He thrust into her hard, on the brink of pleasure, and unable to stop. Never had he felt like this. He wanted the moment to last forever. Wolfstan breathed in the sweetness of her scent. Christ, he was taking Rebecca on a damn sofa in a drawing room of a party in full swing.
He’d do it all over again if he could.
He shuddered when she breathed out his name on a whimper. She held onto him as his body racked with the same tremors that had sieged her moments earlier. If Wolfstan had his way, he would never let this
