Head MC. Located behind their biker bar, it was the main venue for underground shifter matches. Several of their members were on the card. Maverick and Mason were up early, fighting each otherโ€”the Deathโ€™s Head MCโ€™s revenge for bouncing them last night. Chaos and Beast were pitted against other opponents in the last two matches of the night.

Unfortunately, they never made it that far. The Deathโ€™s Head MC interrupted Round Three of Maverick and Masonโ€™s bout to seriously change things up. Announcing a fight to the death, two injured humans were tossed into the ring with a pair of knives.

The blonde across the way stopped breathing.

Quakeโ€™s cell buzzed with a text message from Stone.

Undercover ATF agents blown

Need extraction

On my mark

Jesus. Just what they didnโ€™t need. Tested in front of the whole shifter community.

The Deathโ€™s Head MC would have shown them no mercy.

Quake looked across the way, seeking out Stone. Phantom, who had resumed his role as the Deathโ€™s Head Sergeant-at-Arms, was close by, smirking, enjoying his little show.

Stone launched himself at the arena. Seeing him, Maverick and Mason grabbed the two humans by their collars and hauled them to the door of the cage. Quake and Rock were there ahead of them, clearing the way for them to get the hell out.

Stone had done a partial shift, adding six inches to his height, turning his brown eyes green, and making his hardened skin impervious to blows and blades. Following his example, the rest of the Dragons did a partial shift as well, forming an impenetrable wall around the humans as they hustled them out of the building.

โ€œBeast,โ€ Quake rumbled. โ€œGet the cage.โ€

Long ago, theyโ€™d learned to travel together, a show of strength in numbers. The cage was a more comfortable transport if someone got his ass kicked in the ring. The ATF agents should be grateful. They were in no shape to be riding on the back of a bike.

Quake surveyed the humans under their protection. The Deathโ€™s Head jackals had gone to town on them. One had a bruise the size of a fist darkening on his cheek. The other had been beaten severely. One eye was swollen shut. Shoulders hunched in pain, he cradled a broken arm.

The sound of an engine roared to life. A moment later, Beast skidded to a stop in their blacked-out van. โ€œGet in,โ€ he hollered.

Shouts came from behind them. Quake turned in time to see Maverick and Chaos take down a couple of Deathโ€™s Head jackals and race for the vehicle. Opening the passenger door, he helped bundle the humans inside.

โ€œWho the hell are you guys?โ€ one of the men asked once he was seated.

โ€œRobin Hood but without the tights,โ€ Mason grinned.

Beast grunted. โ€œHe never wore tights, and he stole from the rich to give to the poor. I donโ€™t think he kidnapped people.โ€

โ€œBatman,โ€ Maverick muttered. โ€œWeโ€™re Batman.โ€

โ€œShut the fuck up,โ€ Stone growled, eyeballing them from his seat then turning his attention to the humans. โ€œWeโ€™re the good guys. The ones who stopped you from being executed. Now keep quiet and sit still.โ€

โ€œWe need to get back to our van. Can you take us?โ€ the man with the broken arm asked. โ€œItโ€™s not far.โ€

โ€œThe unmarked white panel van about a mile that way? Itโ€™s toast,โ€ Chaos replied, pretending to make an explosion with his hand to give them a visual aid. โ€œGone. Blown up and burnt out.โ€

โ€œFuck,โ€ the guy breathed out. โ€œWhat are you going to do with us?โ€

Mason rubbed his jaw and looked at them thoughtfully. โ€œHmm, I donโ€™t know. What do you think, Beast?โ€

โ€œTheyโ€™re too scrawny to eat,โ€ the other biker rumbled, watching his rearview mirror as he sped them away from the scene. โ€œIโ€™m not sure anyone would pay to fuck their lily-white asses.โ€

Both humans paled, eyes widening in fright.

โ€œCut it out,โ€ Stone snapped, rolling his eyes. โ€œIf they piss their pants, youโ€™re going to be cleaning it up.โ€

โ€œTheyโ€™re just having fun with you,โ€ Quake told them, ignoring Masonโ€™s scowl. โ€œWeโ€™ll drop you off at the hospital to get checked out. Youโ€™ll be on your own from there.โ€

From the look they shared between them, he wasnโ€™t certain they believed him. Settling into their seats, they remained silent for the rest of the trip.

Knowing they couldnโ€™t linger at the Emergency Room entrance, Beast pulled up out front but kept the engine running. Maverick and Quake bundled the humans out and guided them to the automatic doors.

โ€œGo on,โ€ Quake motioned when they stopped at the threshold.

โ€œThanks, man,โ€ one of them croaked, the relief on his face clear.

Hurrying back to the van, Maverick slapped Quake on the shoulder. โ€œOur good deed for the day is done. Hopefully, our Prez will recognize our efforts and let us celebrate. We fucking deserve it. Hey, Stone! I vote we all go to The Pole Barn for some cold beer and hot tail. What do you say?โ€

They needed to work off some of the lingering energy from their shift. A good fight would have helped, but so would a good fuck.

Stone was dragging his stubborn ass, taking his time to respond.

โ€œItโ€™ll be okay,โ€ Rock assured him. โ€œWeโ€™ll protect you from Amos. If he tries to cop a feel, that bear shifterโ€™s gonna find himself declawed.โ€

Everyone knew that Amos had the hots for their President. Stone wasnโ€™t homophobic but he was most assuredly hetero. Heโ€™d never done anything to make Amos think heโ€™d be interested in a little hide-the-sausage but that hadnโ€™t stopped the bouncer from hoping Stone was a gay-for-you kind of guy.

It was funny as shit, watching the two of them dance around each other. Because of it, Stone seldom visited The Pole Barn, sticking closer to home and patronizing their Dragonsโ€™ Den.

Their President swept his gaze around the van, taking the measure of everyoneโ€™s interest. โ€œFine,โ€ he growled, vastly outnumbered. โ€œBeast, take us to The Pole Barn.โ€

They made Amosโ€™s night when he spied Stone in their group. Welcoming them all warmly, he kept his gaze latched on Stoneโ€™s crotch, his fingers itching to get in
