I still have to most say in the band and I wasn’t going to let him bully her. He said some things that were completely out of line and the rest is history.”

“Flower, how did you react to all this?” Oh my God how do I answer that?

“I wasn’t there for all of it, I was only there when John said it would be better if I went and stayed with someone while they finished the tour.” I’m trying to keep my voice from cracking, but I’m freaking out right now.

“And how did you react to that?”

“Not very well, I’m sorry to say. I told him no, then left the bus.” This is putting it nicely.

“Were you surprised when you found out the Justin fired his brother over you?” I heard Justin and Chris almost growl, oh this isn’t going to be good.

I could feel the anger rolling off Justin but he kept his voice calm when he spoke. “I did not fire him over her. That was the last straw, he was pulling stunts like that for months. I had enough of it. The thought of asking John to leave the band was in my mind before they even started touring with us.”

“Flower, why did you chose to stay on tour? Wouldn’t it be easier for you to stay with friends, then to be dragged all over the world with a rock band?” Please stop asking me questions.

“I’m used to this life, I have been touring with Chris for ten years now. I go where he goes, end of story.”

“That must be hard on you, Chris. To have to take care of your little sister while touring.”

“Nope, she is my life. I clearly state to anyone I work with that my sister goes with me or I don’t go. Freak Street didn’t have a problem with this, even let her redo a bunk in all purple.” He laughs “Then let her take over the back meeting room as a craft room.” This got everyone laughing.

“Yup, that was Flower’s room!” Dave says.

“Well, looks like you’re just one of the guys.” Matt says to me.

“The best looking one.” Justin says. All I can do is blush and smile. This interview went from good to bad then back to good again.

When everything is said and done we all start to breathe easier. Chris, Dave and Scot are going to go shopping for some video games. So now Justin and I are going shopping too, but for what I don’t know yet.

“Are you okay?” I ask him once we are in that back of his car. His driver has the back window up so I know he can’t hear us.

“I’m fine, why?” He smiles at me, but I can see he is hiding something.

“I know you got upset during the interview. Why did you tell them that about John? You didn’t have to do that.” I intertwine our fingers.

“I know, but when he asked what the last straw was I just told him the truth. I’m sorry if I said too much about you and Chris, I hope you’re not mad at me.”

“No, I’m not mad. I mean I was a little at first but it’s okay. We don’t hide our life, we just never have had a reason to share it.” I look down at our hands “Did you mean what you said? About how I’m the most amazing girl you ever met?”

“Yes, I did mean it. Flower you will never understand how wonderful you are. When I look at you I don’t just see a beautiful girl. I see a girl with fire in her eyes, someone who has no problem telling you she is mad, and someone who has no problem telling you she is scared. You should know by now how much I love to spend time with you, hell I haven’t played a video game with the guys in three months!” He starts laughing. “I would rather be watching TV with you.” I’m holding back tears.

“You really think I’m beautiful?” I look up at him while one tear rolls down my face. He wipes it away with his thumb.

“I think you are gorgeous.” He whispers. Then it happens, he leans down and kisses me! Not on the cheek, not on the forehead but on the lips!! I melt and after a few seconds I start kissing him back. We both jump when the door to the car opens. “Guess we’re here.” He chuckles, then runs his thumb over my bottom lip.

“Where are we?” I ask as he helps me out of the car.

“Neiman Marcus, you need a formal dress for tonight.” He says calmly.

“Why do I need a formal dress?”

“I am taking you to see The Phantom of the Opera, and we have box seats.” The opera? I remember hearing him say that he was taking me to the opera when he didn’t hang up his phone and I heard him talking to his mom. But when he didn’t bring it up, I thought maybe he changed his mind, guess not.

“Oh my God!” I start jumping up and down, he is just laughing at me but I don’t care, I’m going to the opera with Justin!

“So, my mom said to take you to see her personal shopper at Neiman Marcus. But you have to promise me not to look at any price tags, or I may throw you over my knee and spank your butt right there in the store.” All I can do is stare at him, what did he just say? “Come on, lets go find you a dress.” He pulls on my hand.

I feel like a princess! I’m in my room and I have just finished getting ready for tonight. Chris took the news very well, too well if you ask me. It was like he already knew about it but wouldn’t say. I’m standing in front of my full length mirror, I look so different. We found a beautiful dress, and I don’t even
