neck and collar bone.

Suddenly, I’m all too aware we’re still in public, and I no longer trust my body to not have sex with this man right here. I fight every impulse vibrating inside me.

“It stopped raining,” I announce, hoping the fear of being seen will send my hormones packing. Still holding me, Jaxon looks outside to see the rain has indeed stopped. Breathing hard, he turns his face back towards me and rests his forehead against mine.

“Holy shit.” He tries to collect his breath. “You make me crazy.”

He sets me down, and we try to gather our composure. The silence is starting to make me uneasy with doubt. Did I do okay? Was it good for him? He looks at me and must notice my discomfort because he cups my cheeks and places the softest kiss on my lips.

“You’re mine now, you know that, right?” He lifts my face up so we’re eye to eye. “Now that I’ve had a taste of you, there’s no going back, Nyx.” He curls my hair around his finger and says, “You’re it for me.” He lifts my wrist to his mouth and places a kiss on it. “For as long as you’ll have me.” And that’s the last thing he says before he takes my hand, and we return to the world.

Jaxon

We head to the bathrooms in silence to freshen up after getting drenched, and I know I’m falling for this girl. I can’t help it.

Her full lips are like those French macarons, slightly cracked on the surface but soft as air when I pressed my mouth to them. Her body felt as though it was carved to fit perfectly against mine. And since I was the first person to kiss her, it must mean I’d be the first person to do other things.

My dick immediately stiffens with the idea that nobody’s ever been inside her.

Even if she ends up telling me she’s not a virgin, it doesn’t fucking matter because nobody else will ever be inside her again. I’ve never felt this possessive and protective of a woman. I’m not usually the type.

Yes, I’m human, so I’ve been jealous before, but not like this. I don’t want to own her, but I want her to belong to me. Because my heart belonged to this girl the first time I laid eyes on her.

As we approach the bathrooms, which is just a white trailer with steps in the center and ramps on each side, I place my hand on her shoulder and stop her. “I’m gonna try and wring out my clothes as much as I can before we head back to my bike.”

She looks down at her equally wet clothes. ”Yeah, I think I should do the same.” I let go of her, and she makes her way up the steps, her gorgeous ass on display now that there isn’t anything blocking it. It’s perfectly round and toned and naturally sways back and forth as she walks.

I look away because I refuse to jerk off in this public bathroom.

I clear my throat and announce from behind her, ”Okay, I’ll be right out here waiting for you when you’re done.” I follow suit, skipping every other step as I head to the men’s side of the trailer.

I enter the bathroom, closing the door, and turning on the light. It’s dim, but it’ll do the trick. I go through removing clothes and wringing them out, laying them out to dry while working on different pieces. When I’m finished with my briefs, I towel dry and then throw my clothes back on.

I completely lost track of time, so I can’t believe I’ve been in here for over twenty minutes when I check my phone. Shit. I quickly tie up my boots and adjust my hat.

That’s when I hear it, commotion coming from next door.

It sounds like a male and female voice. I assume the couple may be getting it on and roll my eyes in envy. Then I’m suddenly hit by a proverbial Mack truck.

It’s the women’s bathroom right next to this one. Panic floods my chest, and I quickly tie up my boots.

Cameron’sin the women’s restroom.

Cameron

The door slams shut behind me, making me jump. Pull it together, Cam.

These bathrooms really need better lighting. It’s eerie and dim, and there’s graffiti all over the wall. Whatever. It can’t be worse than inside an old train car. I lean up against the wall for a minute, still feeling Jaxon’s body all over me. He’s a really good kisser. I mean, I don’t have anything to compare it to, but in my opinion, he’s fantastic.

The electricity between us is tangible. If someone were to come close enough, they’d feel the current running between us.

One foot in front of the other, I make my way to the sink, leaning over it to throw some water on my face to relax. I refuse to obsess over what comes next. I lift my shirt over my head and twist it to remove the water. I look in the mirror, cursing the red bra I’m wearing, and that’s when I see a man staring at me from behind.

He’s tall and tan, a bit on the skinny side, and he doesn’t look healthy. He has tattoos on both arms and a scar cutting through his eyebrow. His eyes are menacing, and my stomach dips in fear as I realize I walked into the bathroom at the worst possible time.

Before I can turn and run, he rushes me from behind and covers my mouth with his filthy hands. He has a knife pressed to my back. It’s not enough to cut skin, but it is enough to keep me from trying to wiggle away and risk being cut.

He threatens, “Scream, and I’ll cut you, bitch.”

How did I not know this guy was in here? Was he hiding in one of the stalls?

With pleading eyes, I try to reason with him from under his hand. At this point, I’ll offer up everything I
