โYou have an art show?โ
โItโs supposed to be tomorrow. I need to get back and call the art gallery manager.โ
Cyrus gathers the necklace from my hand and gestures for me to turn around. Unclasping it, he puts it around my neck.
โIโd like to join you at your art show if youโll have me.โ
Placing my fingers over the charm, I smile before turning to face him.
โIโd love for you to join me.โ
โIโll come to your apartment tonight after my classes are finished.โ
โPerfect.โ Caressing my hands over his hard chest, I lower my hand to the waistband of his briefs and pull them out, getting a good look at his cock. Cyrusโs eyes flash with desire as I reach into his briefs and stroke him. โIโm looking forward to tonight.โ I wink, and he wraps a hand around the nape of my neck, pulling me to him.
โSo am I.โ
He reaches between my legs, stroking me over my shorts as he kisses me. His confident touch is arousing, adding to my excitement for tonight. My grip tightens on his shoulder as I become wet with desire.
โYou feel good, Cy, really good.โ
โMy beautiful Selene, you have no idea what I want to do to you.โ
My imagination is going wild with possibilities. My fingers get lost in his silky, chocolate hair, tugging the ends. He moans before sealing my lips with his.
โYou make me forget what I need to do.โ
Cyrus leans back, caressing a hand on my cheek.
โWhoโs the distraction now?โ
โYou are, Professor.โ
He releases that light, airy laugh, and it makes me smile.
โI really have to go, but before I do, do you know where my phone is?โ
โItโs in your room downstairs.โ
โThanks. Iโll see you later tonight.โ
As I step away, heโs reluctant to release my hand. I slip from his fingers and frown, knowing Iโm going to miss my guys.
โBye. Tell Griffin and Emeric Iโll see them soon.โ
โWill do. Bye, gorgeous.โ
Turning back toward him, I put my hand to my charm.
โRub three times and cast, correct?โ
Thereโs a look of pride on his face as he nods. โCorrect.โ
Being back in New York is familiar yet strange. Griffinโs house on Mordeeves Island is becoming a second home to me, maybe even more of a first home. There, Iโm away from the busyness of the city and the fears of whatโs expected of me.
Taking a shower, I replay the vision Ancor revealed to me. I understand, for some reason, unknown to me, Iโve been born as the counterpart to each elemental magical son. Iโm not complaining. So far, my new relationships with Griffin, Emeric, and Cyrus have been amazing. I am nervous about meeting the other supernatural men. What will they be like? Will they be as arousing and loving as the first three have been?
Turning off the water, I reach for a towel as my nerves knot in my belly. What Iโm most worried about is how Iโm going to help supernatural beings. Once Iโm bonded with each of the five, what happens next? Where and how do I begin fighting demons and the Holy Accolades? The more I learn, the more questions I have. I need to spend time with Ancor. He seems to have a lot of answers in his seemingly brilliant mind.
But first, I need to get dressed and wait for the art staff to pick up my newest collection. Thankfully, Susan anticipated I might be traveling. Her voicemail asked me to call her when I returned from my travels. When we spoke an hour ago, she was enthused about viewing my newest collection and planned to send staff over right away to collect it. Iโm not surprised since she makes a commission off the sales.
A hard knock raps my door, and I look through the peephole, my hair still stringy and wet. Two muscular men with 369 staff shirts are waiting on the other side, so I open the door and wave them in.
โThe newest collection is over there.โ I point to the windows where a dining room should be, but instead, I have my studio. Entertaining large groups isnโt something I do, so thereโs no need to pay for more space, not in New York, where studio apartments go for thousands a month. I can afford a larger apartment from the art I sell, but Iโd rather not spend my hard-earned money on rented square footage.
Putting my damp hair into a messy bun, I ensure they collect the correct pieces, then tip them for the carryout and delivery. As the last piece of art is boxed and walked out the door, I push the door closed, only to be shoved back by two separate men storming through my threshold.
One has a nasty scar above his left eye thatโs bumpy and red. It looks new. Below the scar are red eyes, the telltale sign these arenโt normal men. The other is wearing sunglasses but removes them to show the same red eyes. I take several steps back, heat rising to my palms.
โYou need to leave,โ I demand.
โNot without getting what we came for.โ The demon with the scar curls his lip. The hungry look in his eyes raises the hair on my neck as he stalks toward me.
The one who dropped his sunglasses comes from the side as scarface comes straight for me. Taking another step back, I raise my hands to unleash magic, but trip over an object on the floor and tumble onto my couch. Scarface pounces, holding me down on the couch as I fight against his strength.
โSheโs almost too pretty to kill.โ Sunglasses grabs my arms from scarface and pins them above my head.
โWeโll enjoy her before we kill her,โ the demon snarls.
The fuck you will.
Red-orange glow swirls in my palms, and I unleash it at sunglassesโ face. Releasing my hands, he stumbles
