found a phosphorescent pink post-it note that could not go unnoticed: a dinner with the busty giraffe and Michael, who were going to arrive in Madrid in two weeks coming back from their honeymoon.

Damian had written those notes the night before or at the crack of dawn. The very thought of Mr. Devoir, with all his masculinity, writing notes on phosphorescent pink post-it notes and sticking them to my planner, full of dark secrets, was definitely amusing. I went through the previous pages and had the distinct feeling that everything had been scrupulously analyzed by that man. Despite the fact that he got a fairly good idea of who I really was, I was surprised he hadn’t decided to ditch me and never see me again.

The day went by faster than I thought between presentations and documents necessary to update me on the company's economic forecasts, and I never stopped working even for a minute. It would take weeks, if not months, to identify our potential clients and the types of investment projects they could be interested in. Being always very meticulous at work, I left half a wall dotted with stickers of different colours and my planner full of notes for the next three days before leaving the office at five o'clock.

"Order, you're finally back in my life!" I breathed a sigh of relief as I put my planner into the briefcase.

I was sad not to have met Damian on the first day, but at least I was able to focus on my work and he didn't see me in those conditions. I promised myself not to go to work unless I looked impeccable.

When I got home I took my planner and began to fill in the blanks for the next two weeks in which I found out that Damian had booked a table for lunch on Tuesday.

Was he so busy that he couldn't book it on Friday to take advantage of the whole afternoon? Of course, I was not going to argue about it. Maybe he was really busy at lunchtime all the other days, although I had the impression that he was quite a free man.

"Hey, Sleeping Beauty, shouldn't you be at the gym?" Nerea asked as soon as she entered the apartment. She found me surrounded by colouring pens focused on filling in the blanks in my planner. "In the end the black planner returned in the hands of Maleficent."

"Don't exaggerate! The fact that I want a little control and structure in my life doesn't mean being a bad character from a movie."

"I just wanted to say that in the last few days, without your damn planner, you were definitely more fun."

"Nonsense!" I whispered while I was writing down that I had to set the alarm clock every night before going to bed. For unfathomable reasons, my phone wouldn't set the alarm clock to ring at the same time every day anymore. So I ended up buying alarm clocks that lasted maximum two days because of the blows I gave them as soon as they rang.

Maybe you should buy a new phone to solve the problem.

"Will you tell me then? How did the weekend go? Did something happen between you and your boss? "

"What a gossip you are!" I said aloud closing my planner and biting my lip.

"It seems to me that it did," Nerea replied, heading to the fridge to get something to eat and thus whetting my appetite, since I ate only a sad salad for lunch.

"Alright, yes, it did!" I admitted. "I won't deny that I slept with him."

Nerea's shrill scream almost pierced my eardrums, and I rolled my eyes. It wasn't the end of the world, although somehow it was.

"And how did it go? Are you dating or what?"

"Well, it’s more complicated than that. But it will be better to talk about it some other time because I have so many things to do. Also, this weekend I’m going to my parents' village before my mother disowns me. Are you coming as well?" I asked changing the subject, knowing that she would not come anyway since she had to go out with Mathews who now had her in his power.

"I can't. This weekend I have plans with Mathews."

"Sure. And what happened to his stupid cousin? Did he return to his country?"

"Honestly, Maria, sometimes you are really mean. I heard he met someone at work. You are free now."

"I feel sorry for the poor girl who will have to put up with him."

"I still think he's not a bad guy."

"You might even say that Steven is a model only to please Mathews. That's the truth. Look Nerea, I have no objection with you going out with him, but every now and then you'd better be objective and have your own opinion."

I did not wait for an answer from her and I went straight to my room. I was hungry but didn't feel like cooking. I was going to order delivery. After all that exercise during the weekend I really deserved it, right?

The following days at work were all just as hectic, stressful and exhausting as the first. I didn't even take a coffee break, I asked my secretary directly to bring it to my office.

On Thursday I decided to show up at work in the most sober and at the same time elegant outfit in my wardrobe: a tight camel midi dress with two chocolate brown side stripes, without cleavage, but so tight on each curve that made your head spin. I showed up at the office with my hair down and a little heavier makeup than usual, left my briefcase next to the desk, and started working. I hoped to hear from Damian throughout the day, since we were supposed to go to the concert that evening at eight. I thought we would meet earlier
