cheer.

William groaned, wiping a hand on his face, frustrated at the kitty girls’ shenanigans. He stared at Rajza and his gang of six uncorking flasks as they exchanged loud jests on their way to the ruins next door. “What’s his crime? Other than having a punchable personality.”

“Rajza’s party likes to camp outside dungeons after the delvers go in and demand a cut as protection fees. He hasn’t killed yet, as far as I know, but it’s only a matter of time till an encounter goes bad.” Nevija showed a hint of worry on her face when looking at Rajza. Though it didn’t sound like she was lying, William was sure the details weren’t so straightforward.

“I don’t suppose you have any evidence other than your word?” His question made the kitty snort.

She pursed her lips in an apologetic smile. “Nu-uh.”

Raia’s ears drooped. “Mister Ranger doesn’t trust us?”

“Nobody trusts stray miarii, don’t hold it against mister Ranger.” Nevija stroked her shorter companion’s ear.

Raia pouted. “Does that mean we have to sleep outside? No matter what we do?”

So they’re miarii? God damn. Cute cat girls with puppy eyes are the devil.

Ember grumbled, pulling William’s arm into her chest as if to protect him.

“Ey! What’s that goin’ on over there?” one of the goblins shouted, hands on her wide hips. “Ye’re lettin’ them meowers sleep over, whilst the rest of us get to piss off? Huh? HUH?! Fucking heckers. I say Rajza might’ve been on the mark. Selfish cunt chaser he is and no true Ranger.” She spat on the ground and lifted her skirt to reveal a clean shaven dark green pussy between thick legs, and gave herself a spank on the ass. “Aight, we’s got the currency too, all three of us. We’ll bang you if you let us stay. “

Another goblin, one with shark teeth leaned on the other’s shoulder. “What ye reckon human donger tastes?”

“Heard it’s like elf, but trollier,” said the third.

“No. No no. There’s no need for this.” William raised his hand and voice. “I am the Ranger, not a pimp lord. You know what, everyone who hasn’t gotten up in my face and threatened me with violence can stay, so long as you keep your camps in the lobby.”

“Huzzah!” The first goblin, one with ears and face full of wooden piercings, humped. “Boys, spread it all out.”

The adventurers returned to unpacking their half-packed campsite in the lobby. They tried to tempt William to join in on all manner of ‘fun times’, but he was depleted after a long day of hiking through wilderness and an encounter that almost ended in violence.

He and Ember retreated upstairs.

Thankfully, the walls and floors were of thick stone and muffled the sounds of merrymaking below. Ember’s snuggling soon engulfed William in a relaxed arousal, which competed with the growing somnolence.

“Ember,” he began.

“Hm?” She peeled off her top and dress, stripping nude in the moonlight. William could not help but appreciate her luscious figure, regardless of how tired he was. She got him hard.

“Congratulations on finding your Maze. I know we were meant to celebrate, but… Well… Maybe tomorrow?”

“Thank you.” Ember had a smile in her voice as she sat near him. “You finally have some work as a Ranger too, huh?”

“Ayup. Lucky me.” William chuckled, reaching out for a greedy feel of her leg. Gently, she reached for his hand and guided the upward caress deeper, deeper until he could feel between her thighs and discovered her to be wet and hot.

“Could we please have sex?” Ember pleaded, as if he would say no.

“I’ll never get tired of your voice.” His fingers said ‘yes’, applying pressure on her clit, sliding past it, and pushing into her. Her moan replaced the scales of sleep from his eyes with lust tinted night vision goggles.

They fucked fast and fierce that night, but kept it short. Drowsiness hit them heavily after the first highs.

Stray frames of the day flickered past William’s mind in a badly edited mess as he neared the dreamlands. Moments from falling asleep, a loud crack of glass snapped him awake to hear shouting from the outside.

“Hey, whada you think you’re fucking with you… You’re a fuck dang wombatt.” It was Rajza. He was either boozed or high on drugs. Other less tipsy friends of his laughed as they pulled his shoulder, trying to disengage him.

Before they could, Rajza tossed a rock at the Window William was at, missing by a mile.

“Oh, you have done it now.” William was woken by a righteous surge of adrenaline. “Stay right there!”

“I wus not ever run away! Come at here to talk, faker!”

While William rushed on his pants and belt Ember stirred, mumbling, “It’s sleepy time.”

“Rajza decided to sleep in the prison after all. Can you give me back-up from the window? I should be fine, but just in case.”

“Up, up. Eyelids stay up, please…” Ember bounced up, struggling to wake up as she fumbled for her bow and arrows.

He picked a bundle of rusty manacles salvaged from the cells and stomped outside. Rajza was there, posing in the moonlit back-alley between the two ruins with his chest high and arms wide despite his occasionally failing balance. Including him, there were four of them. All plastered.

“I deserve Shereriir’s star, you’re no Ranger, you’re coward.” Rajza stumbled towards William.

“Rajz, c’mon. ‘tis not good idea—”

“Yay! Go boss, go! Fuck ‘im up!”

The punch came with three second telegraph of inebriated shambling. It was a far cry from the chimera or Lidarein’s movements and more akin to the type of troublemaker wrangling William was used to. He pulled out a pair of cuffs, tackled Rajza by the waist, and brought him down. The miarii was in cuffs before he could reach for his weapons.

Rajza cursed something in drunkard.

“Get off of
