Nick sat up on one elbow so that he could look into her face. “If anybody should be sorry, it’s us. We should have trusted and believed in you enough to know that you’d never intentionally hurt us like that.” He reached out and stroked her hair. “God, angel, you have no idea how many days I’ve wished that I could go back in time and change that one moment when we walked away from you.” Nick’s voice cracked with emotion. “Knowing that we were the cause of all the hurt, and pain, and anger that I saw in your eyes that night will haunt me until the end of time.” He pulled her against him, and felt Noah’s arms join his as they held her tightly between them.

“None of it matters anymore.” Noah kissed her. “All that matters is that you’re here with us again, where you belong.”
