and asking him a million questions a minute. I got up and put my hand over her mouth so she would stop talking. “Go ahead, brother, she is just excited,” I told him.

“It’s a girl and she is perfectly healthy. Only two of you can come back at a time.” Of course Riley and I were the first ones to go since Riley was crawling out of her skin. As soon as we got into the room, Riley gushed all over Stana and the baby.

“Well, what’s her name?” Riley asked.

“Kira Riley. I wanted her to be named after you somehow. You are my sister and you mean everything to me. Uh, Riley you okay? You’re looking a little green.”

“Yeah, I think, uhm, I think I... need to...” I caught her in my arms before she could fall. What the fuck was going on? Stana hit her nurse emergency button on the little remote that sat on her bed. The nurses came running in and they picked her up and put her on a bed.

They went to wheel her out when Stana yelled, “Don’t you think you are taking her anywhere. Whatever it is you have to do, you can do it right here.”

The nurses looked over at me and I just shrugged. You don’t mess with a mama bear. The nurses immediately drew her blood for some tests, but by then she was already awake.

“I think you all are overreacting. I don’t need any tests run. I just got excited. Can I hold my niece now?” The nurse shook her head and walked away with Riley’s blood in hand. Riley finally got to hold Kira and she looked like she was going to cry happy tears.

“Riley?” The nurse knocked on the door an hour or so later and said she had the results of her blood tests back. Her eyes kept darting around the room like she was nervous to tell her something. Almost as if there was something wrong. “Whatever you have to say, you can tell me in front of everyone here. They are my family,” Riley told the nurses.

“Riley, you are pregnant.” She turned to me with big teary eyes. Shit, looks like the next generation of The Ruthless Renegades was going to be growing sooner than we thought and I couldn’t wait to be there for every single part of it.
