It felt like I had come home, and therefore I couldn’t help but wonder what had happened to us. Why hadn’t it worked before? I was happy with Susan, as happy as any man had a right to be, but this mystery from the past hovered over me regardless. Why had Marci let me go?
Maybe someday I would know the whole truth.
Chapter 19: Sleeping Together
THAT WAS AMAZING
After several minutes of drifting in post coital bliss, I was startled when a third hand began stroking my ass. I prayed it wasn’t Greg’s. I looked and saw Susan sitting on the edge of the lounger. She smiled warmly.
“Boy, talk about knowing each other’s buttons,” she said, before laughing sincerely. “You two don’t kid around.”
Marci came out of her daze. “Oh, hi Susan.”
“Hey, you,” she said. “That was amazing.”
Marci snickered, tapped my back, and I rolled off. Marci stretched her legs, yawning. “Oh my,” she said. “This girl is tired.”
Susan smiled. “You look fucked.”
Marci laughed. “You too, sister.”
“Come here, Greg,” Susan said. “Sit with us.”
Greg came over and sat next to Susan.
“So, are we all okay?” she asked.
I nodded. “Yes, I’m fine. Are you okay?”
Susan leaned across Marci and kissed me. “Yeah, I’m fine. You two were inspiring.” She laughed again. “I think I’ve learned a few new tricks.”
Marci smiled sheepishly. “Ryan and I got pretty well acquainted in the past. He really does know where my buttons are.”
“I saw that,” said Susan. “He knows mine too.” She looked at Greg. “Are you okay? You’re quiet.”
Greg smiled. He really did have a handsome face. “Yeah, I’m fine. A little weirded-out, maybe. This has been quite an evening.”
“I think we’re all a little weirded-out, Greg,” I said. “I’d be concerned if we weren’t.”
“I agree,” he said.
“Listen,” said Susan. She smiled at Marci, then at me. “Listen, Marci’s going to sleep with you tonight, Ryan, and I’m going to go over to Greg’s and sleep there. Is that okay?”
This stunned me. It felt peculiar to hear my wife say she was going to spend the night with another man. I felt panicky but wasn’t sure why. How could that be any more shocking than what had occurred earlier? Was it an escalation? Or was it simply a logical extension of the evening’s activities?
“Oh goodie,” said Marci, before I could say a word. “It’ll be sort of an adult sleepover thingie.” She grinned, clearly pleased with Susan’s idea. Marci was, of course, a single woman with no strings attached. Frankly, I liked the idea of spending the full night with her. I liked the idea of waking up with Marci in the morning.
“That’s fine, Susan. I’m okay with it,” I said. I smiled at Greg. “Your day has probably turned out differently from what you expected this morning.”
He released a manly chuckle which I didn’t know was possible. Susan gave me a kiss and said good night to Marci, and she and Greg went off into the night. After they were through the gate and out of earshot, Marci sat up and hugged me.
“Wow,” she said. “I didn’t see that coming.”
“Neither did I. At first I was a little stunned.”
“I felt that vibe coming out of you, but I’m sure it’s fine, Ryan. She’s not leaving you. I think she’s just having a ball. So am I. Let’s have another drink.”
We went to the kitchen and looked at the liquor situation. “What’s your most precious beverage here? What cost you a mint? Let’s drink that!”
“I’m not sure.” I had to think about this. I opened a deep drawer under the liquor cabinet and pulled out a bottle tucked in a blue velvet sleeve. “This, I guess. It’s probably $500 a bottle. It hasn’t been opened. I’ve been saving it for a special occasion.”
“Where did you get it?”
“Duty-Free, Heathrow Airport.”
“Can we drink it?”
“Sure. I’d say this is a special occasion.” I peeled off the wax and foil and opened the bottle. It smelled heavenly. “Sniff this.”
She sniffed. “Oh yeah.”
I got two snifters. “Where should we drink it?”
Marci thought for a moment. “How about in your bedroom? I’m kind of tired of the deck. I think I’m done with the nudism for the day.”
I looked around the kitchen and didn’t see anything that couldn’t wait for the morning. I flicked off the lights and we headed upstairs. It was warm in the bedroom. “I never turned on the AC today.”
“Oh, that’s okay. Let’s just open the windows and turn on the fan. Maybe we’ll hear Susan howling in ecstasy later.
“Ouch.”
“Oh, you know they’re going to screw all night, Ryan. Why not?”
I got on my usual side of the bed and poured the cognac.
“Here,” I said. “Swirl it around a little.”
“I know the routine, professor.” She swirled and took a sip. “Oh, nice. Sip some and kiss me.”
I did as instructed.
“Would it burn if I put some on your cock?”
“It’s $500 a bottle, Marci. I’m sure we’ve got some Cool Whip…”
Before I could finish, she’d taken another sip and was now sucking my cock. It burned a little but in a pleasant way.
“Okay, that’s nice,” I said.
“Do me!” She leaned back on her elbows and spread her legs. I took a good sip, swallowed, and licked her.
“Ooh, that does burn a little, but it’s nice. It’s different, huh?”
“Different. It’s a nice combo.” I sat up
“You mean the mixed flavors, don’t you? Hey, did I say you could stop?”
I laughed. “There’s the old Marci.”
She smiled and leaned over for a kiss.
“This is fun, Ryan. You’re married and I still get to play with your dick and let you lick my pussy with cognac on your tongue. What more could a girl want?”
“I don’t know. Tell me.”
She thought for a minute. “I never thought I’d sleep with you again. I did think about it, and
