I would never believe that it wasn't my fault Rhiannon was killed. That was plain logic. But I couldn't continue living with all this hate in me. Not because it would rot me, but because she wouldn't want this for me. And because Louie didn't want this for me.
Just because people were lucky enough to have an easier life, or rather a less painful one, it didn't mean that I should hold it against them. Being toxic to those around me and even more toxic to myself wouldn't bring her back. Nothing would.
Louie, however, was still here and needed my help. Leo was still here and needed me to rescue him. Even the fucking dwarf would need help with reclaiming his throne. All of them had helped me without asking for anything in return.
At that very instant, as I fell through the kaleidoscope of colors, I realized that I needed to expel the hatred from inside me and let other people in. Louie would soon be bound to me, and I had better clean up this fucking mess before he was. And after that, we'd find Leo.
A minuscule dot of light appeared quite some distance below me. The little spot of light grew steadily larger as I approached it, and then flew right through it. My face felt wet when I emerged on the other side of the light portal, and was catapulted several feet in the air. I seemed to be in a large foyer that looked familiar but I had no time to think about what the place reminded me of. It only took a second before my initial launch into the air was nullified and reversed by gravity, and I looked down to realize I would fall from a height of more than six floors.
Right when I felt myself start falling, I heard a cacophony of buzzing and felt my body being lifted and held aloft. I looked around and realized that hundreds of tiny faeries were carrying me down to the floor of what I now recognized as one of the halls in the Faery Queen's palace.
"We've got you," said one of the small faeries now flying right in front of my nose. "Ya'll look so funny when your eyes cross."
Name: Mimi Mali
Race: Pigmy Faery
Class: Mana Enhancer
Level: 21
The mischievous creature flew away and as my eyes followed her, I saw Rory and the doppelgΓ€nger already on the ground while Louie was floating down by himself. Viki gave me a nod as I was being carried down though Rory was preoccupied with a fleet of faeries that looked very interested in his facial hair. They were pulling his mustache and beard, annoying him in a thousand cute ways. Cute in my eyes, of course, since he seemed to be getting increasingly frustrated, waving his hands in the air and trying to shoo them away.
Once my feet touched the ground, the small faeries that had been carrying me formed a small colorful cloud and flew out through one of the windows. The familiar form of Tylwyth, the tall red-haired faery with the +16 sword, materialized in front of us before I had the chance to ask Louie and Rory anything about their experience falling through the rainbow.
"We have all the quest items," I told her.
The woman didn't offer a reply but slowly turned her back to us, something that I perceived as an invitation to follow her. I nodded at the others though I let my eyes linger on the doppelgΓ€nger.
"You're not staying back this time," I said. She clearly understood it as it was intended--a command, not a request.
She remained silent and just nodded before walking along next to us rather than dragging her feet behind us. Soon enough, we were standing in front of the throne, which was already occupied by the goddess.
This time, I didn't feel the same pressure that had pushed me to the floor the first time we were in the queen's presence. What I did feel was an awe that I was blessed enough to be in her presence twice in one lifetime. As she laid eyes on me, I felt the immediate need to drop my gaze to the ground and noticed that everyone else in our party did too, save for Louie.
"Your love has proved stronger than the tribulations of your quest." Her divinely melodic voice filled my body. "You stayed true to one another and respectful to all life. You bound your bodies in the realm of Rìoghachd na h-èirigh, your mind in Rìoghachd a' chiaraidh, and your souls in Rìoghachd na camhanaich."
In my peripheral vision, I noticed the goddess lift her left hand and immediately I felt a pull on my shoulder. A short breath later, the lotus, the smoking orb, and the metal cylinder materialized next to me as if I had taken them out of my inventory myself. I never thought anyone would be able to access my inventory, but should have guessed that if anyone had this ability, it would be a deity.
The three items floated toward the queen and I finally managed to gather enough courage to look at her directly. She took the cylinder in her hands, while the other two items continued to float, and gave it a twirl. It disappeared with a flash, revealing what was hidden inside of it. It turned out that Louie had been correct.

"I told you there was a sausage!" Louie said and let out an excited bark before spinning a circle around himself.
The goddess smiled
