go find the prospect. When I get outside, I see the new prospect Wire had sent up for us trying to heave the heavy keg towards the door.

"Boy what is taking so long, put your back into it."

"Sorry Pope." He says as he strains and continues on his way. I kick him in the ass as he walks by. Just as I turn to walk back to the clubhouse a car pulls up near the entrance. It wouldnโ€™t look strange to anyone else, but it stands out to me. This car belongs to my ex-wife. I havenโ€™t seen her in years so when I reached out to her and asked if she still had my external drive I was surprised to hear that she did. I was even more surprised to hear her say that she would drop it off sometime.

I didnโ€™t think sometime would be now.

"Tracey? Wow, you look great." I say as she gets out of her car carrying a box with what looks like my stuff.

"Hmm, yeah, save the shit."

The pleasantries drop away immediately, "What the fuck is that about?"

"You know, when you reached out I actually thought that maybe we could rekindle what we once had. But I look around and see that you havenโ€™t changed a bit!" She jerks her finger to the clubhouse, bikes lining the front, and club bunnies walking out to smoke with nothing but flimsy clothes on.

"Tracey, itโ€™s not what you think."

"Really, are you sure? Because it looks like youโ€™re hanging around the same type of people that killed Blaine. Who are you going to get killed this time?" She snarls in my direction. Before I can stop myself my hand snaps out and I grab her by the throat.

"Pope?" Mack calls out for me and Iโ€™m jerked out of my rage. I let her go and she stumbles back away from me.

"Tracey, wait."

"No David, I hope whatever you are looking for is there. Donโ€™t fucking contact me again."

I watch her get into the car, slam the door and peel off.

I squeeze my eyes shut and clutch the box in my hand. Iโ€™ll never be able to fix that wrong. I walk back towards the main entrance, no longer interested in partying with the rest of the guys.

"All goad? No probings?" Mack clenched his jaw, but didnโ€™t look away. Sometimes it was hard to understand him, but not today.

"Yeah, Iโ€™m good, no problems." I say once and wait for him to either give me a directive or let me pass. He was my VP and even though I was his senior in age he was my superior in rank.

He nods and stands to the side.

I rush up the stairs and into my room to go through the stuff that Tracey had brought for me. It was quite a few of my flash drives, and papers along with the large external drive that I was looking for.

I had tried to run away from this, to tell myself since I was out that I didnโ€™t have to worry about it again. Only now I know the truth, I know I canโ€™t hide from this anymore.

I lock my door, and get my laptop from my desk. I hook up the drive and wait for everything to start working again. When I open the drive and click into folder after folder all of my failures stare me straight in the face.

I click into the files and see the perfectly forged passports of an 18 year old girl. I was a master at what I did and had never once asked what they were for. If the client needed paperwork, I could get that paperwork. Birth certificates, passports, driver's licenses, green cards, whatever it was I could make it. Eighty percent of the files on my drive were made for one client.

Yemen.

I didnโ€™t know what he was going to do with these people. I had no idea that he would auction them off or that he was going after babies too. Even at my worst I wouldnโ€™t have helped someone do that shit.

When I saw him in the field at the Eveโ€™s Fury Clubhouse I was sure that he would recognize me. I even ran after him just to make sure, but he didnโ€™t remember me. When he took Duchess and disappeared, I had thought I was off the hook. Except when those that had gone to help Wire came back from Texas with stories about one of the many reform schools that Yemen ran, I knew that I couldnโ€™t hide from this anymore.

Justin had stayed with us for a while until Ink got the clubhouse up and running down in Florida, but every day that he was here it was like a knife turning in my gut. He wasnโ€™t a patched in member, but it didnโ€™t stop him from trying to do everything that was asked of him. I wonder if he would be so eager to help us if he knew that I was the one who had forged his paperwork. I had helped sentence him to a life of torture and pain. Him and countless others.

I click through the files one by one and my gut seizes up in disgust.

"Daddy, you hurt them too?"

My head pops up and a clear vision of Blaine, my dead son, is sitting on the edge of my bed. Still wearing the same clothes he had on the day he was killed, the blood splatter across his shirt, and the gaping hole in his forehead. He haunts me to this day. A reminder of how much Iโ€™ve lost, how much wrong in the world Iโ€™ve contributed to, and how damned I truly am. Everything that Iโ€™ve been trying to atone for, trying to find my way back to peace, but there is nothing I will ever do that will cleanse me of all these sins.
