with 12 different authors. I really wanted to do it, but didn't know if I'd have time since I was already working on the Falling for the Stars series with Jeannine Colette so I waited for a sign to see if I should jump in.

Then they called me and said the series would be called MASON CREEK. My mouth dropped open!

You see... My son's name is Mason. None of the other authors knew this! Talk about a sign! Of course, I was 100% on board after that.

Not having the time was a real thing, and I found myself feeling guilty for working on this book when I felt I should have been working on the next zodiac book and that only stumped my creativity more. It was a hard cycle to break, and this book was the hardest I’ve ever written because of that.

Thank goodness for Jeannine Colette, my partner in crime and the one person I can’t live without in my book world. Well, Autumn Gantz is on that list too but she comes next ;-)

Jeannine jumped in and went through the entire book, telling me where I sucked and telling me if I wrote FaceTime one more time in one paragraph she’d jump on a plane to smack me. LOL! Her comments on the doc made me laugh so hard and only made the book better. Autumn even said she never wants to beta read a book again without her comments on the side.

These two women made this book what it is today and I can’t thank them enough!

While Jeannine is my writing partner, Autumn is the person who makes sure I’m on track. Without her I’d be a lost mess and I love her so much for being on my side through this journey!

Then I have the real Justine and Tucker… My husband’s cousin, Julie, and her love, Terry, were my muse for this story. He’s a “local legend” around my small town with his own band and even has a houseboat named McLovin. Thank you both for being the fun couple I could write about!

Lauren Runow is the author of multiple Adult Contemporary Romance novels, some more dirty than others. When Lauren isn't writing, you'll find her listening to music, at her local CrossFit, reading, or at the baseball field with her boys. Her only vice is coffee, and she swears it makes her a better mom!

Lauren is a graduate from the Academy of Art in San Francisco and is the founder and co-owner of the community magazine she and her husband publish. She is a proud Rotarian, helps run a local non-profit kids science museum, and was awarded Woman of the Year from Congressman Garamendi. She lives in Northern California with her husband and two sons.
