โI thought youโd be out with Angela,โ Cole said.
โWe had a great time,โ he said. โWe went ice skating and had the best hot chocolate you ever tasted. Germans make the best hot chocolate. Itโs not like that powdered stuff back home, thatโs for sure. Angela has to go back home to her family tomorrow. And sheโs got school. I might not see her again for a while. Maybe Iโll come back this summer, if I can save up some money.โ
โMaybe,โ Cole agreed. โWell, what do you want to do next?โ
โPa Cole, this has been a great trip, but I think itโs time to get back.โ
Cole gripped Dannyโs shoulder with his good hand and grinned. โYou know what? Iโm thinking the same thing. I reckon we ought to get back home and see how Gran is doing.โ
