โMind if I use your room again to work?โ
โGo ahead. Make sure you clean up before you leave.โ
Atlas moved back to the room and pulled all his hides out of his bags. One by one he activated his Cure Soft Hide ability. Now that heโd properly learned the technique, his super speed kicked in and his body did it on autopilot again.
With a nice stack of soft hide, he looked over his options. After a few struggles with himself, he made one of each of the new items for himself. With the leftover leather, he crafted three sets of boots to sell. It was the most efficient way he could see to do it and would leave him with no leftover leather and twelve leftover thread.
The process worked identical to his original patterns, only this leather stitched together in a much smoother fashion. Its flexibility allowed the seams to meld together perfectly as it folded, and the work looked much cleaner than it did with his rougher leather. All the work finally done, he looked at his gains.
You gained 2,220 total experience in Leatherworking.
Success! Youโve reached level 14 in Leatherworking.
The new armor pieces all had higher defense than his previous pieces, so he took a chance to look them over.

A quick trip around the room allowed him to get it back in order and cleaned up. Master Grant sat at her table working at a quick pace. She didnโt have the speed of a Reborn, but the efficiency with which she sewed could almost make you think she did. She reached the end of her line and made a few quick loops to tack the end down before turning to Atlas.
โSomething else I can help with?โ
โIโd like to see your level 14 patterns and sell a few items.โ
โVery well,โ was her response as the menu popped back up and she went back to her work. There were two patterns available for level 14.

After he bought both, he looked at the Sell window. His old jerkin went for 2 silver, while his old boots and gloves each sold for 1 silver. Bummed at the low market price, he selected the Soft Leather Boots. A price popped up on them and he had to look at it a few times.
โMaster Grant? Surely this price is wrong for these boots?โ
โWhat price?โ she asked before she looked ahead and swiped through the air, โOh for Soft Leather Boots? I assure you the price is correct. The stock on them is dangerously low. It takes us so long to make them that they fetch a high price during normal times, anyway. The nobles find them much more comfortable than normal shoes and wear them around daily.โ
Wow, 20 silver for a single pair of boots seems insane but who am I to argue. He selected all three sets and hit sell. The demand must hold pretty steady because there werenโt any diminishing prices. All three sets sold for exactly 20 silver a piece bringing him a hefty 60 silver in his pocket.
โAre there few other Leatherworkers around here doing this work?โ Atlas asked.
โHmm, of the Reborn variety? Not many. Most Iโve seen are lower level in the craft and can barely make reinforced equipment. I guess they are more focused on hitting things than making things.โ
โThanks for the info, Master Grant. Iโll come back and see you when I can collect more hides.โ
โYou do that, young man,โ she said with a wave, although her eyes never left the work on her table.
From her shop he wandered around the area until he found the woodworking trainer. It took some time popping in and out of random shops, but the man behind the desk answered his question upon entering.
โIs this the Woodworking trainerโs shop?โ
โThis is indeed. Iโm Master Grannith. Can I help you with something?โ
โYes, sir. Iโm Atlas and came here to further my studies in woodworking. Iโm recently arrived from Lairthyn.โ
โVery well. Do you have a letter of introduction?โ
Atlas thought about it and realized heโd never grabbed one from the Woodworking shop there. For that matter, he couldnโt even remember ever learning the masterโs name there.
โNo, sir. I left and forgot to get one.โ
โHumph. Well, try to pay attention next time. What level are you in woodworking?โ
โLevel 10, sir.โ
The man smiled at that, โAbout time I get someone of the proper level before they get here. Iโm dreadfully tired of teaching old abilities they shouldโve learned before they arrived. Well, young man, are you ready to learn the next version of wood you need to work with?โ
โOf course,โ Atlas said eagerly.
โThen follow me,โ the master said as they moved to the back.
They walked past many pieces of partially finished wood. Intricately carved staves with a section of blank wood in them hung on racks. Others were everyday items such as bowls but carved with reliefs and pictures. A small room
