“That’s not how this is supposed to work. Couples are supposed to make decisions together, remember?”

“I know, but I’m still just amazed and grateful that I get to wake up next to you every morning. So, it doesn’t matter to me where we go, as long as I get to wake up next to you.”

Lizzie blushed a little as she walked around my desk and gave me a kiss. “Okay,” she said as she walked to the door to leave. “Paris it is.”

I almost fell out of my desk chair as I tried to find the words to answer her. “Hey, wait as second. Lizzie. Let’s talk about that last one please.”

“I think you’re going to Paris for your anniversary, my friend,” a familiar voice said from my right. I looked over to see a man dressed in a red suit, red vest, white dress shirt, black tie, black gloves, and black leather shoes smiling at me with a bag draped over his arm.

“Wrath!” I got up from my desk to embrace my old friend.

As I brought my arms up, Wrath quickly stopped me.

“What are you doing? You must not touch me, Brandon!”

I suddenly stopped and pulled back as a holy terror started to creep into my mind. “Why? Are you here for me again?”

“No, but I am the physical manifestation of God’s wrath. If you touch me, God’s Wrath will break out against you. You will be dead right where you stand.”

“Wow. That makes sense. Thanks for warning me.”

Wrath broke out in hysterical laughter, which disturbed me a little, even though I knew he wasn’t there to kill me.

“I’m just messing with you, Brandon. You made that one way too easy.” Wrath reached out and embraced me in a brotherly hug. “It is so good to see you again my friend. You know I have been keeping an eye on you, and my brothers and I are very proud of you. Also, the Lord is very proud and pleased with the progress you’ve made, and God wanted me to tell you he enjoys the time you spend with him.”

“That’s great, thank you for letting me know, but is that why you’re here today? Did you come to hear me preach? The service starts in about ten minutes, and I...”

“That’s not why I’m here today, Brandon. Please take your seat back at your desk, we have much to discuss. The hour is late, and you and I have so much work left to do.”

“Okay, but I thought we succeeded in our mission that night when you and your brothers burned the old church down.” I sat back at my desk, feeling more unnerved than ever as Wrath sat across from me with whatever he had in the bag.

“Brandon, as you may already know The End Times are upon you and the earth. The Second Seal from the book of Revelation was broken this morning.”

“It was?”

“Yes, and please just listen. Now, Jesus has designated the United States to be a refuge from the Anti-Christ, his system, and his blasphemous mark. When it is time for the abomination of desolation to rise up and sit in the Holy of Holies and declare himself to be god, Jews and Christians from all over the world will flock to this nation for a safe place to live. The Body of Christ will be strengthened as the people come together, and pray for an end to the Anti-Christ, and the return of Jesus to the earth. But there are still many evil and demonic systems in place that must be destroyed before this nation can fully become a refuge from the Anti-Christ.”

I sat quietly for a moment as I watched the seriousness that gripped Wrath while he spoke. I had never seen him like that before, even when he dispatched God’s wrath on the Amaras and Phillip.

Once I knew Wrath had finished speaking and waited for my reply, I leaned forward against my desk and rubbed my hands together. “Okay, what do you need me to do?”

Wrath unzipped the bag that he was carrying and pulled out a red suit and held it up for me.

“Tell me, do you like the color red?”
