I see mountains so high,
I see birds sing and fly,
Why is that so?
Mommy,
The grass is green, trees are, too,
Water's not pink, it is blue,
Summer's warm, winter's cool,
Why is that so?
Mommy,
You are big, I am small,
Will I grow wise and tall?
Why does winter come after fall?
Why is that so?
Mommy,
There are people holding guns,
There is a bear, and it runs,
There is a child, and it runs,
Why is that so?
Mommy,
This world seems so big,
Everything's growing, real quick,
And I have question,
Why is that so?
What do YOU see?
Babies cry
Babies die,
Babies starving,
Losing their new won lives.
Children cry,
Children lie,
Losing their homes
And their yet so young lives.
Mothers cry,
Mothers try,
To keep their family
Away from the crime.
Fathers cry,
Fathers die
In a war so senseless,
And a waste of time.
Grandmothers cry,
Grandmothers pray,
Trying to keep
The evil away.
Grandfathers cry,
Grandfathers die,
Leaving their dearest
And nearest behind.
Do YOU cry?
Do YOU feel?
The pain on earth,
Tell me,
What do YOU see?
Dawn
I see the madness in people's eyes;
I see the sickness in children's eyes,
What does it mean?
I see people beating whales;
I see animals struggle with pain,
Please,
Don't wait 'til the break of dawn.
It seems to me you don't know the pain;
You are acting vain!
When is it over?
We can take each other's hand;
We can try to understand,
So we won't wait 'til the break of dawn.
I hear sings for the wishing,
Hear songs for the kissing,
But what about the lost and missing?
The sick and dying?
We can't wait 'til the break of dawn!
My World
My world is a dream
That won't come true.
My world is a place
I hide when I'm blue.
In my world I feel save;
Nothing hurts.
In my world I see butterflies,
And hear the singing birds.
Do you know what it's like
To get hurt all the time?
Do you know what it's like
To feel pain all the time?
You may not, but I still do;
I still feel the pain,
I still feel blue,
Although it's not as bad
As it used to be;
Still my world is the place
Where I can be.
My Onliest Love
It's another rainy day,
With raindrops knocking on my window,
And I sit here with the love of my life,
Singing and jamming my troubles away.
My love is always there,
When I'm in need of care and comfort;
My love will never leave me,
We talk about the burdens I have to bear.
Melody helps me float away,
Rhythm keeps my sometimes dorky life straight,
The lyrics help me understand and see,
Whatever will come it may.
Help
All the time I used to think,
I'm strong enough to fight;
But every time I fight the fight,
It hurts so bad inside.
In my mind I want to scream;
Don't want to live here anymore.
The colors fade away so fast,
What are struggle, pain and anguish for?
I believe I give up,
I can't take it anymore,
Trying to survive somehow,
Just let me through that door.
I realize I need you now,
I need you to be there;
I need you here to hold my hand;
I need you here to love and care.
Still I think I'm strong enough,
But I can't make it on my own;
I need someone to stand right here,
I notice now, I should have known.
I love you
Since the day I came into this world,
You cared for me and helped me stand;
Every joy, pain and tears we shared;
You lent me your hand, taught me to understand
The life I'll be living, if good or bad;
I truly love you, Mom and Dad.
I liked to spend the days with you,
Although truth ran short last years;
Have been many tears you've been living through;
You washed away all of my fears;
Though you are here and she is far,
I love you both, Granny and Grandpa.
Honestly, I can't remember
Your jokes and my very first own steps
That we used to spend together;
You dried my tears running down my cheeks;
Listening to you is like eating candy,
I love you, my dear Auntie.
I still remember July in 2004,
As I held you in my arms, so tender,
My life did open a brand new door;
You'll be the center of my life forever,
Your eyes have sparkles; your laughter's so dear,
I'll love forever, my little teddy bear.
It's already been about six years since we met,
And together we have spend a gorgeous time;
"Hello, my sweaty." Is what you have said,
You're the greatest soul that ever entered my life;
At your side I'm feeling good and free;
I love you as my sister God forgot to give me.
