“ Yes! Okay, did they take my helmet?” I asked as I jumped for joy. I love my motorcycle. My parents got it for me when they found out I was going to be valedictorian of my class.
“ No they didn’t. it’s on the seat,” my mother said as she went outside to put Levi in the car. Then, my dad started the car and I jumped on my motorcycle and put my helmet on. Then, I drove up to my dad’s car to find out where we were going.
“ Dad, where are we going?” I asked him as he handed me a slip of paper with an address on it. As soon as I saw the address, I gasped. “we’re moving back to our old house?” I had this feeling, a great feeling, that we would possibly run into the Cavans.
“ Son, make sure you act like your surprised when we get there,” my dad said as we left our house. Before we got onto the highway, we stopped to get gas and I texted Adeline.

Me: We’re moving back to our old house!
Adeline: Really?!?!
Me: Yep! I can’t wait to see Preslie! I miss her so much.
Adeline: She has Travis. Come to her 18th bday party tonight at 4.
Me: Will everyone be there.
Adeline: Yes.
Me: ok.

“ Mom, we were invited to-,” I told her as she cut me off.
“ To Preslie’s eighteenth birthday party. I know. Adeline told me last night. She wanted us to surprise her after ten years,” my mom said as a big grin appeared on my face. “ Ethan, are you okay?”
“ Now I am! I can’t wait to see Preslie. I have missed her so much,” I told her as I put my helmet on and climbed back on my bike. I followed my mom and dad out of the parking lot and onto the highway. In three hours, I would see my best friend and the love of my life, Preslie Lynn Cavan.

As we pulled into the old McKinley residence, the familiar scent of honeysuckle filled my nose and I could tell I was home. The movers were already there moving in our furniture and boxes into the house. I parked my bike in the garage, took off my helmet, and went inside. I noticed everything was in the place it was ten years ago. I went upstairs and saw Levi’s stuff in my old bedroom.
“ Mom, where’s my stuff?” I asked as she came upstairs and looked at me.
“ Your stuff is in the big bedroom downstairs in the basement. Dad thought you might want a big bedroom,” she told me as I gave her a big hug and raced downstairs to my new bedroom. When I got there, all my stuff was unpacked and put in it’s rightful place. All I had to do was put my stuff in my closet and make my bed.
Two hours later, after I put my stuff away, my dad came down to my room.
“ So, son, do you like your room? Maria took the liberty of unpacking your room considering you might want to go see Preslie,” my dad told me as Levi ran into my room and wrapped his arms around me.
“ Ethan, can I ride your ‘cycle?” Levi asked me as I picked him up. He was a spitting image of Jack. Brown hair, deep blue eyes, and a slight tan.
“ Levi, Ethan can’t take you for a rise until your ten,” my dad said as Levi kissed my cheek and jumped out of my arms. Then, my dad shut my door behind him and I laid down on my bed. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and texted Adeline.

Me: are you at Preslie’s house?
Adeline: will be in fifteen when the party starts. Sutton, Preslie and I are on our way.
Me: Sutton?
Adeline: our best friend.
Me: ahh, well text me when your at Preslie’s house.
Adeline: kk

“Ethan!! Please come here,” my mom exclaimed as I went upstairs to see everyone in the kitchen.
“ Yeah mom?” I asked as she sat Levi on the counter.
“ When we go over to the Cavans, act like you just came because Adeline said you could. Shirley and Jonathon have no idea we’re coming and neither does Preslie,” my mom said as my bother jumped off the counter.
“ Momma, who are Shirley, Jonathon and Preslie?” Levi asked. Although he is only five, he is super smart.
“ Levi, they are some old friends of ours,” I told him as he jumped into my arms and started playing with my long hair. My hair sits at the top of my eyebrows. Then, he jumped down.
“ Ethan, honey, just go ahead and head over,” my mom told me as I put my shoes back on and walked outside. I went to our old entrance to our( Preslie and I’s) secret place. Once I got there, I noticed the tree house was still there and so was the swing. I walked through the pathway and to Preslie’s house to see almost two hundred people at her house. Suddenly, I saw Adeline with two people I didn’t know. Then, Adeline saw me.
“ Ethan!” Adeline exclaimed as she ran over to me and the others followed. I gave her a big hug and she hugged me back. “ It’s so good to see you! Oh, this is Travis, Preslie’s boyfriend and this beautiful girl is Sutton. Travis, Sutton, this is Ethan, He’s my cousin and Preslie’s old best friend.”
“ Hey Ethan. Nice seeing you after ten years,” Travis told me as he shook my hand.
“ Ethan McKinley. I thought I would never see you again,” Nathan, Preslie’s brother said as he walked over to me and gave me a hug.
“ It’s nice to see you Nathan. Where’s Preslie?” I asked him. Suddenly, I saw Preslie, and then, she saw me.
“ Ethan?!?!?” Preslie questioned as she ran over to us. As she got closer, she saw the same young boy from ten years ago and a huge smile appeared on her face. “ ETHAN!!!” Then, she ran into my arms and gave me a big hug.
“ Preslie. I’ve missed you so much! You’ve changed a lot,” I told her as she laughed into my shoulder and I could see Travis getting mad.
“ I’ve missed you too Ethan! Did you move back Here? Or are you just here to visit?” Preslie asked me as she looked at me, still in my arms.
“ We moved back to our old house. The tree house is still there,” I said as she smiled and gave me another hug. “ Meet me at the tree house in five minutes.”
“ Okay,” Preslie smiled as she got out of my arms and walked over to Travis and gave him a kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck. Then, Adeline walked over to me and rested her arms on my shoulder.
“ Different, isn’t she?” Adeline said as I looked over at Preslie make out with Travis under a secluded tree. It’s like they didn’t care about who saw them or what people said. Imprint
