but green apple was a close second.

“Thank you.” I said ripping a small piece of cotton candy off the cone.

“Anything for you” he said flashing her his winning white smile. They walked slowly over to a bench by the petting zoo where llamas and goats seemed to be enjoying the attention of theyoung and old a like. She sat only a few centimeters away from him. They both took turns with each cones stealing some of the others it had become a sort of game between them. She couldn’t help but notice how beautiful his eyes were when the reflected the sun. He was gorgeous without a doubt. She wanted him. She wanted to know more about him.

She was sweet, thoughtful and abnormal. She was perfect. Perfect for me. Now I have to make her mine. The cotton candy was sweet but she was sweeter. I am definitely falling for her hard and fast.

“Hey can I ask you something" I said catching her eyes as she stole a piece of the blue raspberry and placed it in her mouth.

"Sure, go ahead" she said smiling sweetly as she stared into my eyes.

"Wanna go on a date" I said looking her dead in the eye conveying my wishes through my blueish green eyes.

"Yes, when" Hailee said with the prettiest rose tint on her cheeks.

"Now!" I said grabbing her hand and disposed the cones into the recycling and led her to the games booth.

The First Date...

“Now!” he said as he grabbed my hand a pulled me to the games booth. That was a bad move I will take him down. He lead me to a colorful booth with large stuffed animals hanging from the roof. The object of the game was to shoot the water cannon at the target within the mouths of the clown faces hung up on the booths wall.

“You're going down, clown” I said glaring at the inanimate object that mocks me with it’s taunting smile. I hear Jake chuckle beside me. I turn to see him staring at me and my blush deppens.

“You’re the only one going down!” Jake says raising one eyebrow in a flirty fashion.

“You clown you are going down!” I say turning to look at his cocky smiley face.

“Ring!!” The bell sounds signaling the start of the round. We both focus solely on the task at hand. I aim at the target and hit it easily but maintaining it long enough for the water in the tube to reach the top that’s the hard part.

“Bring Bring” the ringer sounds meaning someone water has reached the top. I turn to see Jake smiling brightly and the light flashes on his number. Damn it! He won. He turned to me and winkes. Cocky much? Yet in this moment I find him terribly attractive. Damn me and my hormones. He receives his large prize of a huge tye dye teddy bear.

Haha I won. I am very happy I took the clown down. By clown I mean Hailee. I got a huge tye dye teddy bear with a white bow tied around its neck.

“You should give that to your sister. When I was her age I would have killed for a stuffy like that!” Hailee said smiling and standing in front of me.

“You’re right! This is incredibly impractical I saw a coat check near the entrance I think they might do a teddy bear check as well. Do you mind if we go drop this off?” I said staring in to those warm chocolate eyes.

“Yeah let’s do that!”Hailee said smiling and walking step by step alongside me until we reached the small coat check booth.

“Hi, can I leave this stuffy hear and pick it up on the way out?” I asked the kind looking man in the booth.

“You sure can! Name?” the man asked me smiling.

“Jake” I said not including my last name so Hailee wouldn't know who I was at least not now.

He took the teddy bear and sat it in the corner closest to his post. We thanked him and then ushered Hailee to get some food from a food truck.

“What do you want?” I asked drawing Hailee’s eyes from the menu on the side of the truck.

“Classic poutine, please.” she said smiling politely. Oh how I could get addicted to her infectious smile.

I ordered one classic poutine and one standard cheeseburger and two lemonades. When it came time to pay Hailee pushed me out of the way and grabbed a debit card she had in her small wallet she had in her over the shoulder purse.

“Sorry, i’m very persistent when it comes to treating people” she said as she typed in her pin on the credit card machine. She was sweet and chivalrous but little did she know i’m the heir to a multi-million dollar company. We grabbed our food and sat on the bleachers meant for the horse drawn carriage race.

“Tell me about you” I said biting into my burger.

“Well i’m Hailee Sommers, i’m sixteen. I attend Waterview High School. I was born in Vancouver I moved here when I was ten. I have one sibling a sister she’s nineteen and in college. My parents are divorced but they both live here in Ottawa. My favourite color is seafoam green like my shoes. I love dolphins and my favourite season is summer.” she said all that before taking a bite of her poutine.

“You?” she asked before sippign from her lemonade.

“I’m Jake i’m seventeen. I attend Hillcrest private school. I was born in Toronto then moved here when I was three. I have one sibling a sister which I have spoken about earlier she’s five her name’s Abby. My parents are still married. My favourite color is blue. I like giraffes and my favourite season is fall.” I said as she continued to eat her poutine happily. Everything felt less awkward now that we knew more about one another.

“You go to a private school?” she asked looking at me intently.

“Yeah, my parents prefer it.” I said a little worried she thinks i’m a snobby rich kid taking advantage of her. I’m definitely rich but snobby, no. The rest of the night went off without a hitch; we played games, talked, ate and kissed on the ferris wheel as the sun was setting. The night was drawing to a close and I was sad to let her go. The cool night air was peaceful and pleasant. That kiss was special it was soft tender and electric it was like noting I had ever experienced before. I could still feel it on my lips and see it in my mind. This girl was the one, I just know it.

“I better get going the last bus of the night leaves in fifteen minutes.” she said as we stood near the front gates.

“No, you don’t need to take the bus. It’s dangerous for you to be alone at this hour. Please let me drive you home.” I said holding her delicate hands in mine.
