“Nice song, did you make it yourself?” I turned and saw Takuto there leaning on the wall.
“No, I learned it when I was younger.”
“Oh, well breakfast is on the table.” I went inside to see the table had French toast, pancakes with syrup and butter, and rice balls neatly on the table with Ruka waiting for us. We ate in silence and listened to what the others were saying as they passed by, nothing important though just normal gossip.
“Sister, were you singing again?”
“Yes Ruka I was.”
“Why didn’t you wake me up?”
“You need rest, you know how uncle would be like if you never got any sleep.”
“That’s true, but he lets you stay up whenever!”
“My training of one is complete, now I’m training to be the priestess, remember when I become one, we can’t talk anymore.” He began to cry but I wiped the tear away and made him smile. “But soon you will be a priest so don’t worry.”
“I never worry!” he stood up; he was a small reflection of my father, while I looked nothing like him or my mother. He says that I resemble my grandmother when she was my age three years after she gave birth to uncle.
We finished eating when there was a knock on the door. Takuto went to open it; it was quiet until there was a scream, “TAKUTO!!!” I held Ruka behind me as he came back with a girl with blonde hair squeezing him in her flat chest; she had red eyes, and was wearing a kunoichi’s uniform. She looked at me and sent a glare that was weak; I sent a stronger one that made a chill go up and down her spine.
“Misaki I have guests here so now isn’t the right time,”
“Why is she alone?”
“She isn’t alone I’m here!” Ruka came out behind me and pointed to himself.
“What is that?”
“That is my little brother; and it would be wise if never touch him or go near me while I am here.” I stood up and threatened her, I thought she was a kunoichi but she is just a wimp. “Who are you?”
“I’m Misaki, the first kunoichi ever! And Takuto’s fiancée,”
“The first kunoichi went into the Jade village nineteen years ago and fell in love with a samurai then had children twenty- six years ago,” I looked at Takuto and he looked mad for some reason. “If you excuse me I have to go and teach my brother medical issues.” I took Ruka outside, but I heard in a distant Takuto calling me.
“Are we training sister?”
“No, I just wanted to be away from the love birds.” I sat in front of a rock and put my head on my knees.
“What’s wrong sister?”
“Nothing,”
“It looks like…”
“I don’t like him; I will never like him for taking me away from home! I just miss home that’s all.”
“Sure you don’t, while we’re here what do we do?”
“I don’t know; but we have to find a way out of this village.”
“We can’t…”
Suddenly two men that are obviously drunk came up to us. “Hey cutie do you want to spend the night with a real man?”
“No, I’m fine; you should be leaving before I get a Jounin on your asses.”
“A Jounin well we’re the highest rank Genins! A Jounin is the weakest in the class.”
“If I was the lowest rank, I would still be in the academy now you two get out of my sight!” I looked up and saw Takuto without Misaki. “You Ok.”
“I was,”
“Right, now tell me why you left.”
“You and your fiancée needed time to be alone didn’t you?” he sat next to me looking up at the cloud covered sky.
“We’re not engaged.”
“You’re not?”
“No, she is just a candidate but I don’t want to marry a kunoichi that never mastered genjutsu or ninjutsu.”
“She never mastered ninjutsu or genjutsu?” Ruka could but I’m training him to be a priest and a samurai.
“Pathetic.”
“I know; she wasn’t born with chakra that’s why.” I stayed silent as we watched the clouds turn dark as it began to rain. Ruka already was at home by now sleeping or reading one of his scrolls; Takuto stood up and took his hand out to me. “Come on you’re going to get sick.” I took his hand and we walked back to the apartment.
Once we reached the apartment the rain had stopped and Ruka was waiting for us. I went into Takuto’s room and changed out of my wet clothes and into a casual kimono my father gave me last year. After I changed I went into the living room; out of nowhere I was pinned to the wall with someone’s lips on mine.
“What the hell Takuto!” I pushed him off.
“What are you talking about Mitsuki I was in the kitchen the whole time… Mitsukuni.”
“Little brother long time no see.”
“Takuto what is he talking about?”
“This is Mitsukuni my older twin…” I looked at both of them and they were exactly alike!
3

I sat in front of the twins as Ruka was playing a game of solitaire. Mitsukuni had the same facial features as Takuto; each time I look at Takuto and back to Mitsukuni a cold chill goes down my spine, Mitsukuni had Takuto’s eyes, but he had pitch black hair going down to the end of his shoulder blades and he was stricter than Takuto. “So you’re telling me you have a girl with her little brother living with you…”
He nodded in response; Ruka made a castle of his cards and they fell, I helped pick them up but Mitsukuni took my wrist and pulled me close to him. For some reason he thought I would blush; he was mistaken, I gave him a glare as he tried to swoon at me.
“This one is odd,”
He let go of me; I went to pick up the cards and shuffle them once more made a castle that stood for an hour. Once I took the one in the middle out all the cards fall into one pile. Ruka went to put them away while he was gone there was an argument on how I will be taken care of. I hate it when I’m fought over!
I walked into the kitchen and saw that Takuto made a mess; I got the broom and began to clean. Once I finished I heard a crash in the living room and I saw them grabbing each other by the collar. “Would you two stop? Do you two really hate each other?”
“HE STOLE MY GIRLFRIEND!!” they looked at each other and gave each other glares.
“You two are twins. Sit down both of you before you break anything else besides your bodies.” They sat down but Mitsukuni kept watch at me. I’m thinking he’s a major pervert. Ruka came in tired as ever, man he’s only seven years old and he is this tired. I went up to take him so he could rest but Mitsukuni grabbed a hold of my wrist.
“Don’t leave.” I glared at him and shoved him away. I picked up Ruka and took him to Takuto’s room.
“I need a nap sister,”
“I know, now be quiet.” I took a deep breath and began to sing:
