"Throw it," she smiled. Brett threw it at her and she catched it. Surprisingly, I didn't know cheerleaders were capable of catching anything. Eli who was right beside her, snatched the pack away and started dodging the hands that was desperate for some Oreos.
"Give it back, Eli." I couldn't help but laugh, she's cute--too cute. Derek reached out for the pack and handed it back to Rosie. Derek was quite the tall one in our group and the most quiet one to be exact. He was Eli's older brother and was the total opposite of him. I guess opposite do attract, sometimes. Eli, on the otherhand, was on the short side and was the loudest one in the group.
A car parked up the road and Christian came out, pissed off. He was the titled the '#1 Soccer Captain'. He was the same height as me (5.9ft) but was more muscular and I, who was satisfied with a six pack, didn't care. I glanced over at Rosie, who seemed bothered that he was here, looking directly at her with flared eyes.
"Rosie, why are you here?" he asked. "I've searched everywhere for you and thanks to your parents, I found where you are." He stared at us with despise like he's never seen someting more annoying before.
"Christian, I don't need you. Leave."
"I won't leave until you're with me."
Rosie crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "Then, I guess it'll be a long night." Christian stalked forward, ready to grab Rosie away and into his car. She seemed to notice with the way she clenched her fist tightly, ready to beat the crap out of him. She was quite the tough person than what she already looks like. She took a step back into Eli; holding her shoulders from falling.
"Dude, why don't you fuck off?" Eli asked, angrily. "It's obvious she doesn't want to go with you anywhere."
Chritian reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him. Rosie started shaking her wrist out of his grasp. "Chris, that hurts! Let go! Chris, come on."
"Dude, the fuck?" I proclaimed. "She's your girlfriend and you're treating her like that?"
I couldn't stand and watch a fight that wasn't going anywhere. Christian dragged Rosie into his car and closed the door. Glaring at us, he opened the car door and got inside. "You little whimps should shut the fuck up and mind your own business," he said before closing the door.
Who would've thought that Christian could ever turn out like that. He was never like that before, he used to be the nicest person in the world back then. He was my childhood friend, and so far, it felt disgusting thinking about it. We watched the car drove past and decided to leave the area.
Eli stared at all of us before grabbing his skateboard and heading home with Derek beside him.
"That wasn't the first time he's stared at us like that before," Felix proclaimed. "The time he was close to losing his leg and after that, he had to be on a wheelchair for a whole year."
We agreed and decided to head home before the cold made us anymore sicker.
"Ryan, what happened to Eli?" Ayesha asked, peeking out of the doorway. "Derek told me he's been locked up at his bedroom."
I shrugged. "It's been a complicated night yesterday and trust me, you wouldn't want to know who showed up." Ayesha stared at me with curiousity and then, shrugged it off with an "Oh Well".
Ayesha was my sister and thank god, she wasn't the nosy type. She didn't have any interest in making my life a living hell and that's why she's my ideal sister. I stared at my laptop, trying to figure out what job should I take. I was saving up for a new skateboard that cost more than my shoes and trust me, I'm a shoe fanatic.
I googled different types of job offers around my area and so far, it's just offers about prostitution and janitors. Trust me, I didn't want to do any of those. I blew out a sigh of exhaustion and decided to quit it for today. Ayesha passed by and threw a paper at me, hitting the temple of my head. It didn't hurt but it was definitely random. I leaned over and grabbed the piece of paper.
It was an invitation.
"Uh, who gave you this?" I asked, staring at the doorway.
Ayesha came in with our yorkie, Dasiy. She was the cutest thing in the world and the most obdient pet I ever had. She could take care of herself but sometimes, she's a diva. "It's from the new girl next door named Spencer," Ayesha said, caressing Daisy. She always knew where Daisy's ticklish spot was. Heck, she knew everything that others didn't.
"Okay," I said, throwing the invitation into the trash. "It's tonight, right? Ayesha, when did you get this invitation."
"She gave it to me a week ago. And, it is tonight." Ayesha smiled and left the room.
She didn't look anything like me. I have dark brown hair that looks black, green eyes, and thin lips. She has the same physical features as our mother. The chestnut colored hair, the brown eyes, and bowie lips.
I stared at the time. It was two hours until the party starts and I, who hasn't met her yet, didn't know what to wear for her arrival party. I was positive that some of the people that were coming are also from my school. I walked over to my closet and decided to wear something that I usually didn't wear.

Christian parked his car at the edge of the road. A few blocks from my house up ahead. He cut of the engine and blew out a sigh.
"Rosie," he paused and then said, "I didn't mean to go beserk on you. It's just been a tough night for me." I couldn't help but roll me eyes. Christian was always a prodigy when it came to lying or acting. I reminded myself that there's times when relationships weren't always riding in a straight rode without bumps. I kept quiet and he looked at me which made me involuntarily glare.
He sometimes told the truth but one thing I learned, that everytime you add something to the truth, it subtracts from the truth. It wasn't like I was pissed off or anything, I just needed a relationship that devotes to trust.
Still, I was angry at him for being a possesive bastard.
I said, "Christian, you don't understand that your attitude and repulsive issues needs to be kept to yourself."
I exited the car and he followed me, grabbing my wrist gently. I tried to shake his hand away but it was firm on my wrist, making me turn to look at him. I could see guilty arouse from his eyes and I doubt it was even real.
"Rosie, believe me. I tried. Everytime I see you with someone else and not me, I just...turn into something I don't want to be." Uh huh. I bit the bottom of my lip, trying to figure out what I'm going to do.
"Yeah, you know what?" I asked, annoyed. "What?" he asked.
"You should know better that I don't do drama." I could feel the inside of me snicker. It was pathetic. I waited for him to say something and then, walked away when nothing came out of his mouth. I shoved my hands into my jacket and blew out a sigh. My legs were shaking and my cheeks were flushed red.
I entered the house and rushed upstairs into my room. "Honey, how did the date go?" my mom asked, her words mumbled through the door.
"It was exciting," I said, rolling my eyes. My mother adored Christian. Too much to be exact. She'll talk about him nonstop, give him cookies, and watch some of his games with dad. He seemed to be a son figure to her since she never did have a son. I wanted a brother but instead I was the only child. My father didn't want any children anymore because he felt that he couldn't stand another hindrance. Though, he was still nice to me.
"That's good," she said and then, she disappeared. I slumped down onto my bed and pulled off the heavy jacket that weighed down my shoulders. I could feel my eyelids get heavier, slowly closing my eyes. I fell asleep.
Spencer gave me her trademark smile while I sipped my milkshake. We were at our usual breakfast place. "What's up?" I asked, confused. She gestured at the two guys that were staring at us across the booth. "They're totally checking us out. Just play along with me and we'll get ourself two hotties. And don't worry about Christian. He ain't worth it, you're way out of his league. Not to mention, he's a dickweed with a possesive attitude." I didn't feel offended neither did I disagree with her.
"If Christian finds out that I'm dating another guy. Make sure to dig up my grave after I'm buried. I might be still alive." She snorted. "Trust me, he ain't going to lay a hand on you or I'll screw him up." I smiled at her and then, turned to glance at the guys--that was on their way towards us. Great.
"Don't worry, you got my back. I got yours," Spencer said, shaking her head. They stopped by our table and stared at both of us. "Andrew and I just wanted to know if you ladies were checking us out?" the guy with brown hair asked. He was mostly made out of muscle and his height was tall that I had to tilt my chin up ninety degrees to look at him. I stared at Spencer for an answer.
"Yeah, we just thought how hot you both are," Spencer said, smiling mischievously. She placed her chin on her hands, looking seductive. "You can join us if you want." He smiled at Spencer. "Sure thing, babe." The moment he scooted in, Spencer winked at me. The other guy stared at me, waiting for me to scoot over. I scooted over and he came in the booth with me. "Babe?" Spencer asked. "I think I'm already in love." He winked at her and then, stared at Andrew. A bro communication going on.
"So," Andrew said, turning his attention towards me. "What's your name?"
"I'm Rosie. Nice to meet you," I said, faking a smile. "Yeah, it's nice to meet you too."
"Well, this is awkward." He nodded, smiling. I noticed he was wearing a football varsity jacket. "Do you happen to play football?" I asked, pointing out the jacket. "Yeah, I'm the captain... Not that I'm bragging or anything but we only have a hundred people that attend my school. We have twenty people in the football team."
"It must've been easier for you to get a scholarship, right? I don't really know much about football or scholarship."
"Yeah, too easy to be honest. No offense to my team but some of them don't belong on football."
"They remind me of myself. An advice for you, don't ever go to my school. It's has an hateful enviroment."
"Sure, I'll take your advice," he said. "I'm not pushing you or anything but do you--and your friend want to come to my football practice?" He
