I took my phone from my bag to call him, I noticed that he had already called twice, I called him back immediately, “Hey daddy,” I sang into the phone. “Hey baby girl, I tried calling you earlier I guess you got caught up in work because its already one hour since I’ve been here waiting on you,” he told me, I took a glance at the clock and noticed that it was one o’clock and I was starving, as though my stomach understood what I was saying it responded with a loud growl. “Dad I’m so sorry, I had no idea I’ve been so caught with all the work that my boss had me do since he left me here all alone, to do all my work and his,” I honestly felt like a snitch for telling my dad all this information about Mr. Rodriguez, but I wasn’t lying he did leave me with a lot of paper work to complete. “Is that so?” I knew that Leo was going to have to deal with my dad for this, a sly smile found its way to my lips and I was proud of my actions. “Yes daddy,” I pouted although he couldn’t see me. “Don’t worry baby girl Mr. Rodriguez and I would have a chat and you’ll be able to have more time off for lunch,” I smile having won this round. “Thanks dad, I love you bye!” I told him, “Love you to baby girl,” he said me before hanging up.
